Hello, I have a VW Phaeton in mind at the moment. It should be a 2nd car. However, I have no plan of the car and have a bit of fear or respect, if one reads here can sometimes become a fear and anxiety. Actually I wanted to get an A8 year 2011 for just under 36,000€. However, I have now discovered this Phaeton year 2009, it should cost 19.990 €. It is about the petroler V6 3.6 Has just 75,000km on the clock. Equipment he even has something:-) the 18 way seats, leather,purstaining,stand-off-assi,stand heating,Dach,Dyn Audio etc. The problem is that he is not standing at a VW dealer but at a free so-called multi-brand dealer. Also a large car dealer is not a flag dealer. Can one access such a car without consideration or is the repair technical too dangerous?

Lupo with Sporadic problem immobilizer
Hey Lupo cracks, you need some advice! Have my brother the Lupo here since he was no longer mobile. He went out sporadically again and again. Sometimes right at the start, sometimes only after longer driving. Really dangerous even times on the highway. Well now I started at the cheapest time, ignition switch. Installation was not a problem. But now the curious, I just wanted to test if the switch works for a short time, for that I started it briefly without having the buyer’s coil of the immobilizer also only close to the ignition lock. Let the clutch change at the Lupo 3l or sell it?
Good morning, I now have a Lupo 3l from 1999 with 250,000km on the clock and 30,000km of it have been since the purchase of me. At a traffic light suddenly the engine went off. First the engine turned down quickly and choked afterwards. He didn’t want to start any more, so the gear has to be taken out of the engine compartment by hand, because the shift lever didn’t want to move any more and the Lupo can be transported to the workshop. He can now start in neutral gear. The VW workshop meant the repair costs 800 euros for the clutch. 150 euros for the gearbox to be dismantled and to have certainty. On the hydraulics there would be no damage. Unfortunately there is no guarantee for the statement that the coupling is defective and the workshop is only quite sure. So whether the investment is still worthwhile, or whether the price is in the frame. What do you mean? Repair or sale?

Temperature sensor G346 f. Compressor shutdown Part no. ?
Today was with the friendly, an experienced employee, who sought in vain the temperature sensor for the compressor shutdown in the PC ( ACTE ). Here for the TF for the manual climate in Lupo 1.0, MKB = AUC the part number was needed. There was nothing to be found in ACTE. In the circuit diagram – air conditioning system – No. 29/3 from 2003 under G346. Before 1999 it was the F38. Oddly enough, the climate man at VW in his workshop PC could find the TF immediately, with installation location, instructions etc. ( repair instructions ). Only he could not read out any part number. Who can tell me the part number of the temperature sensor G 346 for the shutdown of the climate compressor briefly ? Thank you in advance. Greeting Hans

Hello, after reading so much about zottel here I drove 450 kilometers to him with my problem, my navicomputer had given up the spirit, in my workshop on the spot I was offered only one exchange, which would have cost about 1000 euros. zottel his partner expanded the part and found the error, it was only a solder to renew, that did not cost me 100 euros. and where I was already there I invested the saved money in a small tuning 🙂 after we were finished I am a few kilometers further to refuel, and there I filled 40 liters benzin instead of diesel (did not refuel in more than 20 years) my first call was of course to zottel, he could help me further and pumped out my tank in front of place VIELEN DANK again for your help! I will definitely drive back to zottel if I have a problem!!!

How do you spoil/maintain your “thickness”?
So again a new THREAD from me. Must admit that I used to smile at the car cleaning fraction rather and could not really understand how you can invest so much time in car care…. Now I seem to have real father feeling for my little “thickness” and want to spoil it;-) Which care products do you use? For the paint? Rims? Interior? (Here I would be interested if there is anything good for the wood carving strips? Irrespective polish that is sealed and perhaps also makes small hair scrapers invisible?) I am grateful for every tip for the ultimate Wundermittel! Greetings

Help my Phaeton burns!!!
Hello everyone, every year in winter the sweat pearls are on my forehead. At the traffic lights massive smoke fumes always rise in front of the left headlight. Each time I am afraid that my Phaeton is about to burn down. But it is always the heater. Hopefully. Why can’t you just move the exhaust air channel to the rear? Would spare me some fear. Has also been addressed at a traffic light that my car is burning because the smoke got up from the engine compartment. Gruss capdoc

Burglary attempt – but failed thanks to construction Phaeton
Hello together, you tried to break into my Phaeton. The perpetrator or the perpetrators tried to smash the passenger side window but didn’t have it together, the disc has broken but stopped standing. Does one of you know if the partial cascade takes over this? I know that in general a windshield has a double glazing with a foil in between but how is that with the side window? is that not easy glazing?

Oil consumption D5 163 PS
For decades I checked the oil level regularly with every car.Now with my V70 with a service interval of 20,000km I thought that the inspection was no longer necessary. Modern engine, corresponding control information of the on-board computer etc. Yesterday I was with my dealer (new German “friendly” for my additional heating (makes noises) and an upgrade of the telephone SW. With a friendly smile I was informed that my oil level had to be brought to normal level with well one litre (10,000 km after the last inspection) and I should please check it regularly.Now it comes.There is no warning indicator when the minimum value is reached. Only with the new engine version has been installed. But only because one has had bad experiences. Drivers who have “heated” somewhat sharper after 3000 – 4000 km have already been rewarded with empty oil tank or engine damage.There is sufficient experience from Volvo that this engine is a good oil consumer. What do you know about it, or am I so blue-eyed?
