The fuel indicator just went into the red area, and the yellow fuel warning lamp only went on when parked in the petrol station. According to the manual should now still be 10 liters of petrol in… And now the surprise: according to the manual the tank of the Aero has a volume of 70 liters. I have filled at the gas station 71liter. gt, there should be 10 liters in it.

  • ZR-7s slight starting weakness / idle restless

    Hello Kawasakifriends, after more than 10 years my ZR-7s now makes problems, this expresses itself as follows. 1. When starting you feel a slight starting weakness so that you almost die off. 2. When driving off (gas completely closed) and later giving gas it jerks slightly. 3. Stand gas is quite restless or can not be adjusted. Problems 1 and 2 can be solved by slightly increasing the stand gas. Then however, it only travels slowly. In my opinion, the problem should be found in the idling system of the carburettor. The Kawa now has 36tkm down and thus the valves were adjusted last year. In the meantime the following was done… – Carburettor was cleaned by specialist company Ultrasonic. – All 4 idling control screws incl. O-rings were replaced and set to 2.5 (outside) or 2.25 (inside) revolutions. – All 4 carburettor rubbers (connection air filter to carburettor) were n replaced. – Carburettor synchronized – 2014 or had new idling nozzles installed just under 5tkm ago Otherwise I did not have any problems in the upper load range…today only nearly 300km again. I have read in other threads that it is recommended to increase the original 35er idling nozzle. What do you say and if yes on which size (38, 40 or 42)

  • Motorbike starts off, sometimes not

    Hello, I have mottled my GPX 600R over the winter (dank full, carburetor run empty) and wanted to start it again after installation of the fully charged battery. Unfortunately, did not jump on and ordered only. A few days later on the start button pressed and the motorcycle jumped immediately. Again a few days later only to org again. The starter turns, but somehow does not ignite it. Then tank decomposed and candles turned out or tested whether there is an ignition spark. This is unfortunately not the case (new candles are still bought). Can it be that the ignition box (all fuses ok) or an ignition coil is defective or what could it still be? Unfortunately, I am quite a layman, especially with regard to the electrical system. I also had problems with the deadman circuit on the side stand from time to time. Can it possibly be related to this? Unfortunately, this is so installed or screwed from the engine, so that I do not use normal tools so much probably the exhaust has to be dismantled or?   • 1984 GPZ 550 Is it legal to change tax times?

    Hi guys, I have a 1984 GPz 550 with 65 hp at (approx.) 10500 rpm. Since I have suitcases on it, which only allow up to 130 km/h, and therefore I do not need the maximum speed (196 km/h without a suitcase at all), I think, both camshafts to run around each tooth. I had done the experiment once with a Gpz 305, which has only 1 overhead camshaft to let it run around 1 tooth. Effect: Vmax sank by 20 km/h, but the torque in the lower middle The 550s doesn’t have a lot of suit anyway. So I think it makes sense. It’s possible; in case of doubt, of course, motor with wrench slowly flipping out. Is it legal, do I lose my insurance cover or something like that? Thank you for your opinion Uwe

    So that’s actually not a real problem, but it’s “day and night”. I’m doing a driving licence and I’m totally infatuated with motorcycles. So far I’ve been riding scooters and driving on a 125 (black) and since then I’ve been so fixated on motorcycles…I kind of can’t understand it. “Emotio” and “ratio” .. as the good Romans always said. There are 1000 of reasons that actually speak against motorcycle riding – risk – money -impractical ( See car) -… etc. Am I still normal in my head? Because I’ve been looking for the right motorcycle for a 3/4 year now, read (yes, almost daily) in motorcycle forums and keep thinking about how cool it would be now to criuse a fat machine?! And that – to make it clear again – drive to scooter and ONE times 125 (quarters of an hour or so). Isn’t that murder-sick? What makes this fascination? Where hides the magic. Think as well often on motorcycles like my girlfriend Is I still to help? -g- How are you doing (how did you do it then) ? Michi

  • oh yes … the most ‘lackiest’ of the LAST questions

    So now I’ve had enough of which motorcycle to like and also tried and tested etc. I had of course (…’natural’ ) highest demands on technology and design. Well to get to the point there were only two possible things for me at the end – a 600 Gixxer (must be on 34hp => Drosselung) – a zx6r Everything else was simply not acceptable from the design. I couldn’t live with a bike that I don’t like. What I absolutely don’t like are Chopper Street machines and something like that *IGITT!* My problem is simply the money. I figured it all out. One of the two machines would be used for 5000 eyelets in good condition and acceptable mileage. However, this doesn’t work anymore with the maintenance, with the protective clothing and possibly repairs. And I don’t have more money (yes, I’m poor student). Work regularly, but don’t waste so much money, i.e. I can’t just “just” the The rest is saved. 500€ are there and net more. But then I need for insurance, protective clothing and tax now more than 500€. That means either I buy a cheaper motorcycle (which is not easy with the two models to get something clever) or I buy another bike.
