  • damage to the car on employee parking

Moin, maybe I can help or tell you if the report is paid by the company liability insurance. Last week a fully packed laundry car took off on our company premises and banged against my car. Fender and bumper got it full. They in my company told me that the damage is covered by the liability. I went to my workshop of my trust. The car master told me that the damage between But since the damage is above the limit of the bagatelle, I had an expert report done, which costs just under €500. Today my company has informed me that the insurance will not pay the expert report because a cost estimate is needed. But I didn’t know about it. Do you have any idea who has to pay the expert report now? I’m covered by legal protection, but maybe someone has an answer for me. I’m annoyed. that now that I don’t know what’s going on. And in the www I can’t find anything suitable LG Lala

  • Insurance does not want to pay for impairment

Dear Forum members, about 8 weeks ago my parking vehicle was hit. The driver’s door was completely destroyed and had to be replaced. An independent expert attested a reduction in value of 250.— Euro, since the damage must be stated when the vehicle was resold, the door no longer contains the original lamination and had to be injected into the other body parts in order to adjust the lamination. the impairment with the argument that a replaced door is an exchange part and no impairment is considered. I have so far not engaged a lawyer to regulate the accident. Now my questions: – What experience have you had with the regulation of impairments ? – Who will bear the costs of a lawyer if I want to claim the impairment ? I was completely innocent of the accident. Unfortunately, I am not covered by legal protection .

  • Purchase advice 300GD

Hello, for 100 years I have felt I wish for a G, I’m sure it will take a long, long time before the right G-Class is in front of me, yet I have my idea which one to be. A 300GD in long with the engine 603, further on is important to me automatic and air conditioning. I think that would be the W463 or? According to the obvious defects like rust on the disc frame, rear lights and side walls, as well as defective diff. Locks I would like to know where to pay attention to n. I’ve already looked at some, but never dared to buy, I think it’s about time, because the market offers less and less. Would be happy about some purchase tips as well as information about frequently occurring problems with this vehicle! Thanks and greetings Martin

  • G400 does what he wants – sometimes on, sometimes not

Hello together, maybe someone can help me with this extraordinary case or has an idea. After our C400 stood unmoved for about 10 days, a very high “peifton” or ev. a “virbrating” relay (my guess) was to be heard from the engine compartment. However, it could not be precisely located. The G only left with the key, everything else was dead. The sound went away only after the battery was disconnected. After the charger was attached was about s juice there, but it glowed, shortly after the attempt of the starter, which did not work only “crack”, the red indicator LOW/HIGH (see picture). After the back and forth of the high/low switch the red indicator disappeared briefly, but came back immediately after the next start attempt. After that we checked the whole electrical system, but found no error or short circuit. Charger remained the night over it. The next morning he jumped immediately after disconnecting and only the errors “BAS” and “ESP” The voltage was 12.34 V. Started again during the day, everything worked out. Started again in the afternoon and the same error again (as described above). Returned to the cargo. In the evening then jumped normal again and drove. Jumped overnight at the cargo and in the morning again. During the day weiter at the cargo, jumped in the evening. Then the night without cargo, jumped in the morning (11.89V). During the day further without cargo, in the afternoon again the so-called error and error. No starting. The voltage was 11.34V at the last start attempt. At the first error reading there were following errors (see picture), whereby all could be reset to P0802. P0802 means a problem with the distribution gearbox. Can someone please help me. Greeting Martin

  • W460 or Lada Niva long

Good morning, I have a lot of new-fashioned vehicles, a VW Multivan, a Mercedes Viano and a Subaru Forrester, standing around, which I want to sell. I am looking for a robust car with as little technology as possible. Due to the low price, the Lada Niva long is considered as a new car. The test drive was OK. The disadvantage is that I have to convert it to LPG and retrofit it directly, to suitable corrosion protection, cruise control and better noise insulation. For the pushers I have my inner middle finger. Worse is that the quality overall is rather poor. For this the repairs are simple and the costs are low. Alternatively I am interested in the W460 as diesel, oldtimer and long version. That it is larmarschig, does not itch me here either. Used it costs about the same as the Lada Niva long new. But I am also interested in consumption, repairability, reliability, costs and costs for the afterlife. I would be happy about a factual discussion. Dogmatism, fanaticism, pp. don’t interest me. I would also be interested in a Japanese, but I have the impression that they have ridden down harder, consume even more, and repairs may be significantly higher. With best regards Reinhard Wilhelm

  • 2017 G Professional experiences

Hi, I have owned the 2017 Professional for almost a year. Here is some feedback; 1.Floor freedom is 230 & not 245mm.I measure ground freedom between deepest point(diff) & the floor.Mercedes does not measure it differently but from the logical lowest point(diff) 2.Diesel consumption; Mercedes; cut 9,9liter, me; 12-13 liter/100km(no offroad) 3.No motor brake moment in low range rearguards gear! Can be very stable downhill on snow & ice. 4.Horror turboloch 5.Copy paste interior/electronics vo A professional driver should think for himself & not leave everything to the electronics.Window cranks & no carpets are good but doesn’t fit the luxury electronics right now. 6.High weight on snow uphill. The G gives up relatively quickly. 7.Fahrwerk is perfect, steering is perfect, overview perfect.Freude an Fahren(except horror turboloch) 8.Many small quality defects otherwise it has a solid impression. e close/open makes pleasure. I am a land cruiser owner before & have always had absolute confidence in that car. This trust lacks with the professional, too much complex electronics. I will never drive any further than I can run back. Certainly not tomorrow to Cape Town. A problem today with all modern “field cars”. Mercedes should offer 2 different G’s, the normal luxury & a purist professional. Now they have 2 normal luxury G’s, one with te carpet & one without carpet. But my wife loves the G & that says it stays a while longer.

  • The G and the tyres/wheel (AT)

Hello together, I have been around the topic tires for a long time and I always try to find the right one out of the threads. In this case, however, I need your concrete tips, because I somehow don’t get any further. I would like to switch to AT tires, but can’t get along with the rim configuration. Especially the thing with the press-in depth for the 2016 model overwhelms me. From the most beautiful would be your tips in the form of links. I would like to have the “BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K O2”. Likes 17 or 18 inches in width 275. I know that 16 inches would be better but I’m not a 100% hardcore off-road driver and get along with it. How loud is a tire like that compared to a normal tire? Maybe you have a few tips and links for me or even arguments that move me to another choice. Thank you 🙂
