Has someone experienced about rim lock whether original from Volvo or from Atu, Forstinger etc….     Hi, Have there ever been a question driving now for about 2 months a Volvo V50 1.8 Momentum and am what the driving behavior and the compfort is very satisfied, only what really causes me headache is the fuel consumption which is at the moment average of about 10.5 – 11 liters.Has someone experienced with it is that normal or can you do something.Or can it even be what is wrong with the engine ??

  • Sporadic no power 2.0D DPF

    Hello Volvo driver, now my elk has unfortunately also caught it, for 3 days he has been ticking around. When starting the engine everything is still ok, then about 4km drive with normal performance unfolding and then the elk does not take any more food, Dehzahl only up to 2000U/min and max 110km/h……but all this without an error message and only when the temperature meter has crawled on the first line of the display. ch then immediately new start is all over and everything runs like before, the ignition doesn’t have to leave out even 2 seconds. I had the whole thing now 5 times and it went off every time without an error message or something like that, it may be due to the weather, is now in the monemt zeimlich wet with us and just so at the freeze point…….I my water break in a sensor plug or something? Have just just got the 60000km view behind me and was up until now actually quite lucky h with the car.     Hello Volvo friends, I would like to come out as a newcomer and already after I got my V50 4 weeks ago, ask a question to all Volvo drivers and especially the V50 drivers. Had 2 weeks ago a marten damage to the brand new car. The “Fiech” had nibbled on a turbo hose. As a result a total failure of the turbocharger. In the cheerful the problem could be solved directly (only 50,-Euro) and it also seemed to be quite rare, the straight a well-known V50 had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. Question now, someone knows an effective Marten deterrence. In the net you can find everything from “Voodoo” to “electric chair for the Marten”. But what is also effective of it? Has anyone else experienced exactly this problem already? I would be very grateful about some tips. P.S.: At my Beetle and at a Ford Escort the Marten has so far out of footprints still n he’s doing some damage.

  • Preheating a misconstruction?

    Preheating a misconstruction? Dear community! I had now some times the problem that the preheating started (dirketstart/timer), but it did not ignite. A mistake was written in the memory, which was then extinguished with mine. It was nice cold, but can it be that lt. A friendly the preheating only works up to approx. -17 degrees, because then it is too cold for a ignition? Somehow paradox! I think back to my trucker times, In Belarus everything went at -30 degrees also. OK, was something more special diesel, but nevertheless! Here also OMV winter diesel, which goes up to -22 degrees (acc. to OMV) in the tank! And at the sale of the € 1233,84 expensive heating nobody told me that this then from 17°C does not go…. And then still the overhammer of my , I should fuel on 50 liter diesel approx. 2-3 liters of petrol! Was so stupid and did it, and only then read and made me smart! But still he drives… Do you think? Do you also have problems with such temperatures? Remember: My S40 was always in the carport with these problems and never had direct wind in there!

  • Car purchase decision ( Honda Jazz, BMW 3 Series, Golf 4 , Audi A3)

    Hello people are new to the forum and didn’t know exactly where to write in. So I’m looking for a car for me. Should be my first car. I was primarily talking about fuel consumption and afterwards about the optics. What was true in both was the Honda Jazz. My requirement is that he has to have less than 90000 km and at least first registration in 2004. At the price my limit was 4500 to 5500 euros. There will be not very easy but there are already some offers in mobile. but to the actual problem. For 4000 to 5000 euro you get also easily a bmw 3er under 100000km and a Golf 4 or A3 all over BJ 2000. Only with these cars would then be the duty on gas conversion so that I would drive the because otherwise the consumption is simply too high for me. Now I don’t know what the right thing would be. The lower the consumption the more it is driven and you have fun with it. I don’t need the car to drive with it to work or something.
