  • How important are premium tyres to you in summer?

Hello, I just wanted to ask how important expensive premium tyres are for you in the summer. I personally have never been on “Billigriff” before and can hardly assess to what extent this is noticeable on the road. I know, the test reports speak a clear language, however, these are also only extreme situations with trained drivers, as “tire loan” I would simply say that the driving skills of the driver are a little more important than the brand of the tires… In winter this is not a very clear thing for me, because I will never get anything else in the house except a quality tire…But how is it in summer? If you look at the price differences, sometimes you get really bad and not rarely it is that you pay half of the money alone for the name of the company. I guess in the year about 20,000 new KM come to the clock, of which about 3/4 are driven in the city, therefore I am I’m really thinking about getting a cheaper version, with a complete set of r18 rubbers this (if you compare the cheapest and the most expensive tires) easily 400€. What do you think about it, or what are you talking about?

  • Broader tyres than approved?

Hello! We have moved our Suzuki Grand Vitara, 20 years edition, V6, built in 2008, to Mongolia. Our tyres are absolutely exchangeable. In the letter of that time it says that we are allowed to drive in Germany 215/70 R16, 225/65 R 17 or 225/60 R18. Which rims we have, unfortunately, I do not know, could not find any lettering, but are still the original rims. There are zzt. however only 235 tires. If it were possible for the safety-wise on the existing rims wehnen? Legally it wouldn’t be a problem and we don’t really care about the look. Since the roads – if they exist – are very bad, the tyres have to endure a lot. Can someone help me? Unfortunately I have no idea… Thank you in advance!

  • Online dealer with tires from ongoing production

Which of the tires online dealers carry copies from current production? What is your experience? My online search results in the following results: reifendirekt.de – rather not reifen.com – rather not reifen Schreiber – yes reifentiefpreis.de – yes Is this in line with your practical experience (where it is true)? Some of the remaining dealers seem to be somehow connected to reifendirekt.de. At least the tire search engine is the same. irem price (not covered) and tyres from current production I ask you here to refrain from discussion about current jurisprudence regarding the permitted age of new tyres.

  • Damaged tire flank – someone an idea what that might have been?

Hello, I had our passat on Monday in the inspection (VW dealer). When I picked it up again, the service consultant told me that the flank is damaged at the front left. Does anyone have an idea like this could have happened? I may have the wash road suspected. There is such a band on which one is pulled and the guys sometimes misrepresent. I also do not want to exclude 100% that the damage in the car dealership has occurred. Basis to prove this – I didn’t check all the tires before. Maybe someone knows the damage picture. I’m surprised to see the peeled-off surface in “X” optics. Besides that, we can see longitudinal cuts/cracks. Of course, I know that these are just speculations 🙂

  • Snow chains (favourably) on aluminium rims

Hello together, I hope I’m quite right in your category. Since I’m traveling manyma in Austria and they always wanted to have this chic sign with the snow chain obligation to get some. So far it was always without so in principle it was about doing enough of the sign and maybe the one or other slope more relaxed up Have but nothing rough before! Now I ordered and tried a set of Pewag, see pictures… As said sol It’s just for an emergency but it looks like it’s making the rims unsightly within a few meters… Do you see that the same way? Can you “underlay” something there? Has anyone ever driven by you with such a combination? Or do you have to die a dead man: steel rims or sa* expensive snow chains? And no to ski is not an option Thank you!

  • Repaint the scooter

So, soon it’s time for the ready-made. I had thought about repainting my scooter. Either in black/white, gold or gold with single white coverings mirrors etc. The big question is: How can I get away cheaper and where is it still neatly-completely paint yourself, buy paint and then let paint, let paint with one and the same??? Is it worth buying a compressor with paint spray gun for 60€?? t clear. But I have to remove the tire at the front?? What do I have to pay attention to, e.g. loosen and vent the brakes etc. how does this work? What do you keep from golden paint, clearly I notice with the blues faster, but is it also approved and how with the quality, durability, and above all the price. I think that I get away with black white paint cheaper, but are these 2 worlds? What else do I have to pay attention to. for cultivation. Would be very grateful for tips, price information and further information. Mfg R4zOr

  • Conversion to 124cui S&S

Hi @all, have the opportunity to come cheaply to a used S&S 124cui. Is of course tempting to upgrade his softail with it … but the following considerations about this: My softail (see profile picture) is BJ 1989 with original primary/coupling, transmission and engine. Conversion to 200 tires. Ignition Crane HI-4. Do I really need a new ignition (Original S&S ?)? Coupling must be … Brakes also new? Holds the frame? Will the transmission…? Would you make it? My tendency is Don’t do it, I think there’s more theater behind … Greetings, Kiri PS: if someone else is interested in the engine, send me a PM….
