Hello dear MT’ler, I have a somewhat strange question I’m looking for a small car as indestructible as possible. The only mandatory criteria are: – Year of construction 2004 or new – engine smaller than 1.4l (if possible smaller than 1.2l) Why? I drive from Europe about 15,000 kilometers to Mongolia, through Iran, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. etc. The route is largely not asphalted, comes through the desert (I suppose a lot of sand is a problem?)… st I’m looking for something like an old Fiat Panda or Nissan Micra (really indestructible), only with a year of construction newer than 2004. In addition, the car should be as easy as possible to repair, so that it can be done somewhere in Central Asia. Budget, more or less no matter… would say about 5,000 euros. Apart from shock absorbers, do you have higher and rally wheels any more tips on what to do with a normal small car? can change it so that it is as suitable for terrain as possible? Hello all, would have a small request for interesting suggestions about my situation: Have a Ford Galaxy (Bj.2000) which I now have to sell and for which I would get approx. 1500€. I can find 800€ to 10,000€. I now want to buy a car, rather a station wagon or limousine. Drive in the year approx. 15 to 20 tsd. km. Think that a diesel should produce least cost/km. Safety and reliability are important topics. Trust only with a previous owner and checkbook care (Room Bodensee) What would be the most reasonable thing? 1.) A Peugot 308SW Built in 2008, a few kilometers, 2.) A Ford Mondeo, a bit older, with more kilometers 3.) Opel Vectra , a bit older, with more kilometers 4.) Repair costs from VAT: 1760€ Restitution value tax neutral: 1800 € Sales value incl. VAT: 200 € Replacement duration: 14 days What possibilities does he have? Can he select? Furthermore, the report says something about registration costs = 60€, Hifiumbaukosten = 100 €. Is there any compensation for the replacement period according to the vehicle class. Does he also receive financial compensation for the replacement or has it done because of the repair on site? Is it correct that he only gets the registration and re-registration costs, Hifiumbaukosten and usage failure if he delivers the car during the recovery.
