  • Luggage compartment lid flaps update

    after the friendly on one day twice docked on the forever crackling and clapping tailgate. (Hello a 50000 EUR car and rattles after 20,000 km like a Trabbi!!) then appeared in the VIDA the message that one should work on the final repair and until then the lubricating oil etc.. Has already jmd. a final solution installed ? (no I mean not welding the flapster box :-)) )

  • XC90II and Heico performance increase

    Moin municipality, I get in a few weeks my new thick, a D5 AWD. Currently I drive an XC60I D4 AWD with Heico performance increase, which is really fun. The cart drives fast, splashy and is noticeably more agile in acceleration and elasticity. So a little more (click here) there is also for the XC90 and I play with the idea of “doing it again”. Considering the little bitches that the software still does/could do, I don’t know if this is a really good idea. Yes, I know Polestar and the discussions regarding warranty, possible damage etc., but because of the good experiences have no “Frucht” in front of Heico. Only that there is about the bitches that still exist CAN Gezerre between Volvo and Heico. That’s theory, but maybe you have experiences or a sound opinion. Thanks & Greetings, Alex

  • Wind/driving noise Volvo V60

    Hi all, Since a good 1500KM we now have our V60. Everything top, except the driving noises caused by the wind. about 40 – 80 kmh – light noise, depending on how strong the wind is out there is about 120 – 180 kmh – there consistently, whereby it becomes slightly quieter from 170. Problematic because it is of course in the areas where you drive most. So in the city and on the train where I actually never drive faster than 170. Do you have maybe something similar to watch? Suggestions what I could do? Is annoying when you spend a lot of money on a new car and the driving fun is clouded by something like that. My old cluttered Alfa 156 had such problems e.g. not. I looked at the car once closely and can not see anything with the mere eye where the noises could come from. Only two edges of the roof railing in aluminum optics have been seen. There the wind could break and cause noise.

  • New XC 60

    Hello people I wanted to let you know as soon as possible that we were able to receive our new XC 60 D5 since January 30. First I have to say that I was impressed with what changed in 21/2 years. With the Senus system we got quite clear.But the absoltute hammer is the new D5 with 215 hp for me, because at first we wanted (OHL) and I had a Polestar tuning played,good that we did not do it,because the part runs toppp and is more subdued and thus quieter in the lower speed range than the predecessor with 205 hp. However, fortunately the engine still has a gnarly sound but much more subtle. I will be in March when the weather has improved still the pictures with the mounted Brock rims and from inside. Otherwise it was first and we are happy to get into the elk every day.

    Hello, I’m about to get my Volvo with AAOS and wonder if you should create a new Google account only for the car, or if there are reasons to use your existing account. 1. Which apps could benefit from the existing Google account? I guess on Maps or YouTube you will have access to the stored data/favorites. Which apps still exist where the benefits might be? Is there a Gmail? 2. Is there a difference between Volvo account and Google account or do you log in to Volvo with the Google account? 3. Are different Google accounts associated with the keys? Does anyone who takes my key automatically have access to e.g. Youtube history or emails?

  • Automatic speed limitation

    Hello and good day, I’m thinking about adding an XC60. When studying the user manual, I can’t find any indication if the automatic speed limit can be switched off. How does it look with a bicycle carrier I can only drive 80? Can I drive without speed control? MfG Helmut

  • Transmission flushing / Haldex / Diff

    Moin, after some research I decided to have a gear flushing according to the Tim-Eckart method after approx. 90,000km. I found a workshop nearby that also offers this and received an offer. What bothers me a bit about it, they only use ATF from Fuchs (to be exact ATF Titan 6400 Fuchs). In the other threads always Ravenol is recommended – with the brand I can also do something, Fuchs I have never heard before. Haldex and Diff I wanted to let change right away, because they use the original oil from Volvo for the Haldex and FEBI/Billstein for the Diffs. So my question, can someone say what to Fuchs? This should not be a fundamental discussion, whether a flushing is now useful or not. Thank you!

    Hello Forengemeinde, have just got my XC60 back, as I have changed some serial applications. Vehicle is an XC60 MJ18 T6 R-Design in black. The following changes compared to the series. -brand, model & engine designation removed – exhaust outlet black -protective strip black (back bumper) -mirror caps black -disc borders black -cooler grille border black In series all this was in chrome / silver.   • Tyre pressure indicator TPMS by radio for retrofitting

    Hello, by a hint in the car picture (where the article from the Volvo XC 60 comparison test was in) I came across TPMS from Atrium, with which you have control over tire pressure and temperature at all times without much effort. Since I am also such a ” tire pressure check muffle ” for me and my wife immediately ordered 2 sets, unpacked and mounted immediately, i.e. batteries in and valve caps down, then sensors on it – and had tire pressure and temperature briefly on it by radio. And if – my safety would be worth it too. The tire is and remains the only contact to the road! Therefore – I can only recommend it! Greet Stefan

  • V70 Lowering with level ?

    Hello dear elk driver, can I lower my V70 D5 with level control? – Heico can’t do it (swings with level control differently) – My friend can’t – H&R doesn’t say anything binding.. What do you say??? I just want to have it slightly lower and make subtle track spread on it. Ride the Odysseus 18″ wheels with 245 winter tires. They look so small in the nine V70s. With my 245s the 17″ Polaris was gigantic, today 18″ are almost average… Thanks and always good ride!
