  • Majesty 400 or SW-T 400 for a beginner

Hello together! To introduce myself briefly, as my Nick already says, I am Alex, come from Vienna and have had the A2 appearance since March. Since April I drive a Honda CH 250 Freeway, quite compact and powerful, for the city actually well suited, however suspension and brakes at over 50 km/h respectively in the Sozius operation a catastrophe. I clearly lack an ABS, in rain I hardly dare to go on the road after some unpleasant experiences. It should definitely have ABS and ideally also a little more power, my Honda has 17 hp at approx. 150 kg and is faster at the traffic lights than most 125ers, but from 60 it is also quite tough again. A 300 or 400 would therefore be my favorite. I drive about 70% of the time in the city, but never or very rarely under 5km, because I do the small everyday tasks on foot. With the scooter it goes to the university (as stated 5km) and always wied he to my parents (about 25km), is also rarer country road and sometimes highway, but the focus is definitely on city operation. This screams of course first after a SH300i o.E., however, there are two things that disturb me considerably: On the one hand the luggage compartment. In my current scooter I put under my seat a helmet, my bag and my jacket, alternatively also a tennis racket, in addition I have a topcase. point 2 is the price, under 4,000€ there is hardly any 300 with us, and if, then mostly only an older model or one with many kilometers, and well over 3,000€ I didn’t want to spend. Besides, I just don’t like it visually. However, I always had a “soft spot” for sofa scooters, which is why I have now included in the narrow selection the Yamaha Majesty 400 and the Honda SW-T 400. Both are already available for well below 4,000, with ABS and with sufficient d Storage space. The question is now of course: Both scooters weigh quite clearly over 200 kilos, is that reasonably manageable for a beginner like me? How are the two still suitable for the city? I realize that I don’t seem (as easily) in the traffic jam anymore and then rather stay behind, that’s why I’m less concerned, rather about the maneuverability at low tempi. On the topic of consumption: My current consumes at 100km good 4,5-5l. I was thus already at a To a mechanic who has looked at the whole thing, according to Him this is quite normal in city traffic thanks to carburetor. Say, everything under 5l is a progress for me and therefore no problem. I would be interested in your opinion: Dear the Majesty 400, who is still a classic scooter with a drive-set swinger and single cylinder and is also a little lighter, or rather the SW-T 400, which is basically a little more expensive, but has the two cylinder in the frame nebe nbei also brings even 5 HP more on the road? Or then rather something completely different? Incidentally: taxes and insurance are based in Austria according to displacement, the performance does not matter. Say, Honda and Yamaha would be equally expensive in this regard. Thanks already for all the answers and friendly greetings, Alex

  • Peugeot scooter purchasing advice

Hello, I am looking for a scooter for my son. After we have looked at the usual suspects (Aprilia/Peugeot/Piaggio/Yamaha), it is now to become a Peugeot. Purely from the optical my son finds the Peugeot Jetforce C-Tech most beautiful. But the problem is that they are not built for a long time. I have now found the following offer, but I am not sure…. ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeig…613km/1284316755-305-1401 Fear so much money for an 8 year old He didn’t go very well, but the things can be broken. Alternatively, I could get a brand-new Speedfight 4 R-Cup 2Tact Euro 4 for 2.299,- Euro. As far as I have read this, however, there is no tuning possible (here I’m talking about a maximum of 10-15 km faster), which might be interesting for me if Sons mann 16 becomes and maybe changes to 125 cc. Then I would probably continue to drive it. I would be very interested in your opinion. LG Niklaas

  • Application for funding approved

Hello, the application for financing from the dealer about Santander has been approved and the vehicle has been ordered for inspection. • Santander RSV insurance taken out

Tach, I said in good German sch…. built & took out an insurance which I didn’t want at all. August a car financing was completed, the vehicle cost me ~16.000€. Now after about 5-6 months I wanted to pay off, so I called there and they sent me a letter home how much I had to pay with interest etc.. Pride 19.500€… only then I noticed that in the contract the RSV is included. I called the bank on the phone. say that I have to pay the 19500, and the RSV is valid for a total of 3 years. Called the workers of the bank who turned the whole thing on me, he says I have to pay the 19.500 and then get back from the 350€ the rest because I don’t have it that long… kp. Does someone know about it? How does that work out? On the Internet, some people have found the problem with the RSV… nothing proper. If you can do something it’s good, if not bad because I have the drive ug still got a bit cheaper than usual & the car is still on the Internet at approx. 18.00€. Nevertheless, you don’t have to throw away 350€.

  • X-Max 250 vis Downtown 300

What would you prefer? On the X-Max I’m probably more comfortable due to the lack of/weaker level In the downtown the knees are not quite so good. However, the downtown has 30 Ps compared to the 20 of the X-Max How relevant are these two on the highway with a climb/hill starting from 115-120 (85 +55kg + luggage)?

Greeting Buckeltaunus P.S.: Search if necessary architects with permission to submit in the area Cologne/Euskirchen

  • 1939 Chevy Coupe Woody Restoration

Good evening together, a new project was added to me. A woody. It is built in 39 and I will completely restore it. It is complete except for interior fittings, discs, cardan shaft and rear axle, with an axle of the Jaguar XJ6, which I find very globic. Motor is a Stroker, whereby the 350cui with the parts of the 400cui was built. Was a screwdriver in the Nuremberg area, believe Zexx, or something like that? Can you give me some tips on the rear axle? If yes, the question about the differential is unnecessary. I am an absolute newcomer to Chevy and this year of construction. Maybe someone from the area around Friedrichshafen will also read along and come over for a coffee? Yes, there is also a workshop beer. Will the days still upload pictures. Would I be happy to read from you. Greetings Tobias

  • Cadillac SRX until BJ 2010, what do you have to pay attention to?

I just bought a SRX (Facelift version from 2009) with the 3.6 liter engine from first hand with less than 30 TKM. Can anyone tell me about their experiences? Any things I have to pay special attention to? Are the engines vulnerable or should I have something preventively replaced or kept waiting? Thanks for a short feedback!
