  • Small car new or used

Hi together, I am 30 years old and think about buying a new car for the first time. So far I had a 10 year old Twingo, who does not get the TÜV anymore. I would have 800€ free of charge, without having to give up on vacation or anything. At first I looked for used cars with less than 40,000 km, but I am a little confused, because these are only about 1800 € cheaper with the current new prices for small cars (Suzuki, Fiat…) (Internet) For the 8000 € I would get for example a new Suzuki Celerio or Citroen C1 or a Hyundai i10. I like the vehicles very well and also have climate. The fuel consumption is quite low at all. For 6000 € you get an approx. 4 years old car with 20,000 – 40,000 km. I drive about 4 days a week by train and especially Fr-So by car (about 12,000 km a year). Since I spend also almost 100 € a month for train driving, is only a small car in it. S o far I have seen it, a new small car (if you take the cheapest offer in the Ruhr region) loses about 800 € in value per year. For a used car it is almost as much. The leasing offers, which I found were all more expensive. Reliability (a few km or new car warranty) are extremely important for me. I read here in the forum that, for example, the VW UP should have occurred already at 30,000 km gear damage, which was no longer in the warranty. at 500 there are some creepy stories. Which variant would you prefer? Greeting R.

  • Comfortable combo up to 18k€?

Hello! I’ve been driving my first car for too long. A new purchase has been delayed time and again, as other things were more important, but now I want to do nails with heads. I want a combination of compact class. Likes with sliding roof, prefers red and German. No diesel, rides only 10tkm p.a. 100-130hp. Hand switch. Comfortable seats were important to me. I don’t like the Astra, swirl totally between the Focus and Golf. (all other Germans are anyway too expensive) Which engine w Are you always recommending? Which one is currently the most recommended vehicle? Thank you!

  • Duplex stainless steel plant undercut 🙂

Hello together … Since unfortunately no one came up with a company that produces a duplex system (two rear silencers), I took it into my own hands. By the way: My Saab car dealership “refused” to do something in this direction … Fortunately I know someone who knows a small, fine fine tuning forge. So there … and they built me a special stainless steel system and hung it under it … There is a sonorous greeting in front of him PS: The perspective deceives e in little … the two tailpipes look straight out and are equally far away from the respective rear apron … the right section in the spoiler lip has to be repaired again a little bit

  • 200,000 km with the 93 TiD

So far nothing new. The 93 has now exceeded the days the 200,000 km. Must definitely refuel again.. The days still have to change the rusty H&R springs back, as I soon have TÜV/ MFK appointment.

  • Saab Cabrio 900 II 2.0 with 185 hp, special model Sunbeach by Rinspeed

In the meantime, when I was looking for a Saab Convertible 900 II 2.0 with 185 hp, I found an interesting vehicle. How do you think about the following offer? My interest would already be available on the basis of the special Sunbeach by Rinspeed model. This vehicle can be found at Mobile for 4,900 € with the following equipment: Saab 900 2.0, 125,000 km, engine capacity: 1985, 136 kW (185 hp) , number of vehicle holders: 2, petrol, transmission: manual gearbox, front and rear Side airbags, number of seats: 4, pollutant class: Euro3, environmental badge: 4 (green), first registration: 3/1997, air conditioning: air conditioning, manufacturer colour designation: special varnish metallic, ABS, El. window lifter, El. immobilizer, leather equipment, light metal rims, metallic, check book maintained (not all at Saab), power steering, seat heating, cruise control, central locking I would like to ask for your expert opinion. I would like to buy the vehicle, but I know the special model s Sunbeach by Rinspeed does not and therefore cannot estimate the required purchase price. Please help again. Thank you in advance.

  • Motot suddenly goes out – check engine

Hello guys, since this week have the following problem with our Saab 93 Cabrio YS3D. The Moto goes out suddenly and the check engine lamp lights up. The starter turns, but the engine doesn’t start. The workshop has read out fault memory and found many (volatile?) errors. But nothing concrete. And the engine then also jumped again. Guess now, since the tank was on reserve (90 km rest) that possibly dirt or air was sucked in and that had triggered the errors. N But last Friday the same thing happened to us again (tank was full) -> ADAC called. He couldn’t read the FS, but the car started again. And the check engine lamp flickered. What could that be? Greeting, Olli

  • 2.3 liter suction cup or 2.0 turbo, the spoilt of choice

Moin moin, in my search for a suitable convertible, I want to make a decision. I can buy for 4,700 € a 97 convertible Talladega me full equipment, 162,000 kilometers mileage, permanently maintained and first-hand from private for 4,750 € or a 97y 2,3l suction cup with about 120 tsd kilometers, optically and technically good condition, oil tank cleaned, but without climate for about 3,700 € from a Saab lover. If I can’t decide here, I will still buy another year try to put a few euros on the side and then buy a newer model with a few kilometers! Then I still have to wait L My heart actually beats for the 2.0 turbo. However, the vulnerability of the turbo and the high consumption speaks for me. The cleaning of the oil tank is still necessary at 62,000 km mileage. The 2.3 liter suction cup is probably the more sensible car with high cruising fun. A lower consumption and no turbo worries are The latter convertible is very well maintained, but does not have air conditioning. Let’s see how I will decide or if I have to save another year. Thanks to everyone from the round for your opinions.

  • Reinstall original radio

Hello, a few months ago I bought a 95,900 Turbo Cabrio. The previous owner had built in a Sony radio with 10x changer. I have now bought an original radio in the Ebay and installed it yesterday. Unfortunately it does not work. In the SID I have no display, I do not have a sound yet. The vehicle-side ISO plug for the power plug has 8 occupied pins. On the radio are however only 6 pins in the slot as input. Both cable strands (power and speaker) For the current iso three cables were cut off, I connected them again. Which cables are coming or going to the SID? Or does any of you have a connection plan? I have the occupancy on the radio, is a sticker on it, only on the vehicle I don’t know. Constant plus, ignition plus and mass are clearly only the rest not for me. Thank you for your ideas! Greeting Dirk

  • IQ light permanent long-distance setting

Moin, According to advertising for my T Cross Style 024, he should ALWAYS drive with main-beam (out-of-the-range) .Has the matrix iQ version, dynamic light is set, just drove in the dark, nothing with automatic main-beam activation, I had to do hand-made, very annoying…is it perhaps because I did not set the Kmh sign recognition? (How else should he know that I should drive away, and he should turn on the main-beam? Inner-city it is forbidden) does not necessarily have it, otherwise it automatically slows me down too much, only uses my brakes useless. Does anyone know what else has to be adjusted? Greetings Sabbler

  • Experience on inspections at free workshops or shop chains

My T Cross had an extended warranty for 5 years which has now expired. I have always had the inspections carried out with VW dealers because of the warranty. However, because VW also has salted prices I would like to have the next inspection done in a free factory saddle.I have already checked with Pit Stop there the inspection would cost about 270 Euro incl. oil change with Longlife, at VW they called me a price of 375 Euro. both without wear parts such as brakes or others. My question would have been someone’s experience with free workshops before, of course not necessarily to be pit stop is just an example
