  • Experience report”Water in the footroom”

Due to the fact that it also caught my dear Passat, I was looking for why and where the water comes from in the footroom at the back left. There is no more door foil from Model 3B which could leak! The waterproof end to the outside is the outer seal of the aggregate carrier in the door, BUT the seal is no longer tight. Away from the water:on the outside of the disc down to the plastic rivet that holds the disc. Then over the middle rope pull and H The water runs out at the bottom edge of the aggregate carrier, although it should run out at the bottom edge of the door at the two water drains. Why? Primary cause is that the seal has lost elasticity over the years and is no longer planned.Secondary cause is that the water drains are also clogged at the bottom edge of the door.Remediation: Degrading door lining(instruction in many threads)M6 screws of the aggregate carry turn it out, except for the screw, which sits at the very top towards the engine compartment (only loosen, otherwise the rack slide down). In half height right and left 2 screwdrivers etc. clamp,so that the sheet remains at a distance. Apply a thin layer of silicone on the sealing surface and tighten all screws again. In addition, clear the water drains at the lower edge of the door(2 pieces) with a wire.High pressure cleaner test passed.Washing system passed. tere opinions. • How long can a car stand unharmed, unused?

The starting point is that I will have to study from autumn onwards and reduce my expenses. I am a passionate motorcyclist and do not want to do without it. In Austria we have the possibility to deposit a license plate, also for cars. That’s why I thought I would only register my car in winter, and in summer it is parked in the garage. The question is, how harmful is this for the car? It would almost be 7-8 months and only 4-5 would be driven. safety and so save 200-300€ per year. My motorcycle survives the winter break quite well and I actually do nothing but leave the tank almost empty and 2-3x in winter the moped in the garage a little back and forth. But between 4 months and 8 is a big difference. So what do you say, this plan has future, or which drive forms are best suited for it (except for electric car there too expensive), and what measures should be taken to make a car such a service life I didn’t think I could ride a motorcycle all year round, only on a snow track I don’t think I could ride 2 wheels and in Hagenberg (Mühlviertel) I’m not sure how fast it will be cleared.

  • Axle geometry Fall rear axle Comparison front motor/rear motor

Hello, my friend had her Citroen C3 perform an axle measurement last week and got a protocol. When I looked through the protocol, I had to be terrified to find out that she has the same crash values on the rear axle as I did in the 911. How can that be? Elfer=Heckmotor, rear drive C3=Frontmotor, front drive And both have a target value of 1°50 minutes on the rear axle. In the Porsche I can understand that… big heavy engine behind the rear axle …. if the rear tyres are not properly attached, the car slips away. But the C3 has a completely different axle load distribution. C3 approx. 65% front, 35% rear 911 approx. 35% front, 65% rear And yet both vehicles have comparable crash values on the rear axle. I don’t understand. Can anyone explain that to me? What would happen if you set a neutral crash on the rear axle at the C3 … so 0 degrees. n Axis should the effects be minimal?! Thank you and greetings

  • Chassis metallic flap noise while steering in the stand (engine off)

If you’re on a stand with a motor, you’ll need to know the following noise:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew21J9JbaYs&feature=youtu.be Normal? Don’t tend to think that you’re not, do you? During the ride, there’s no abnormal noise like booze or something like that. Less chassis noise than my parents’ 13,000km-old Opel pulls a little to the left. Tires in the left are slightly driven off. Will be introduced shortly to the workshop. Since I wanted to look again, where would be too search As I said, no funny noises like booze during the ride or while ranking. Is around Opel Zafira B, suspension at the front up to couplers 262,000 kilometers young.

  • Chiptuning without expert report -> Tuner turns across ! no registration possible

Hello, I had the 1.8 TFSI inflated from 120 to 200 HP. Before the optimization I asked the tuner if there would be problems with the registration. He then said that there was no problem with the TÜV. Shortly afterwards I also paid the money for the expert report, only now the tuner (Lizenehmer von Reichert-Tuning) tells me that you can not deliver an expert report. Now I thought, ok then got an expert report from someone else who offers the same, go with it to the TÜV and let TÜV tells me, goes net, since the tuner would have to confirm himself that he has done the tuning and then deliver the corresponding expert report. Now they have refunded me the money for the expert report, but I would also like to have my money back for the tuning, because I can not register the performance increase without the expert report. The company (AE-Perfomance) which carried out the tuning, told me that I should have said that with expert report before. -> I did. In addition, their homepage says: ÜV entry at an additional cost of € 300.- optional available. -> This is not the case. Can I take legal action against it?

  • Buying advice Seat Leon ST Cupra 290 or Skoda Octavia RS or something else???

Good morning, everybody, I’m looking for a change of vehicle but I can’t make a proper decision for problems and so on… You’ve all helped me a lot more where it was about my pass, so I thought I’d ask you about your opinion or experience. I’ve taken a special look at the Seat Leon ST Cupra 290 DSG…but I’ve read about control chains problems and that’s not so great since I’m already looking at my then Golf5 1.4 TSI 170ps The Octavia rs kombi also looks very good, unfortunately you can see it standing on every corner and it lacks a little of performance…But it is in 1 place the durability and little repairs. My idea and budget. BJ from 2017 max 40tkm run and that I still have at least 2years factory warranty. Costs can be up to max. 23000€ since one can still act/must be. And it must be a combo so that I also have the future offspring and my shepherd mi I thank you in advance for your help??

  • Start-stop automatic

Hello, I wanted to ask myself if my experiences with the start/stop automatic with your blankets, I personally find them quite strange. With me the car goes out already when I still roll. That is especially nice when you slowly roll over a parking lot and look for a gap and then the car goes on and off constantly. At Seat they told me this is so, in parking lot or if I otherwise drive slowly I should switch it off. Don’t find that tingling. I had before he had an Audi and a Mercedes and both had to stand the car first and then it still took feeling 1-2seconds and then he switched it off. So, I think, that’s what it belongs to. Would you like to ask if that’s the same with you and if that’s true that that’s the way it is? It still doesn’t seem right to me. Greetings

  • Certain VCDS encodings

Hello together, I have been having a Seat Leon Xperience 1.8 TSi BJ 2017 for about half a year. Apart from a gas indicator problem that has recently appeared and could not be fixed since 5 visit the friendly (yet) completely satisfied. Of course, there are here and there adjustments that you would like to make. I purchased VCDS for this and implemented most of it. On the following topics, however, there are no finished instructions or reasonable approaches. I hope I can work out a common solution. (I can’t possibly be the only one that bothers me.) PS: For the sake of simplicity, I use SOLL, IS compare. 1. IS: the windows and the PD close over the remote control when closing only as long as you keep the button pressed. SOLL: Comfort close the windows and the PD at the unique pressure on the remote control. 2. IS: When closing and holding the remote control g drive in the mirrors, at the same time the rollo of the PD moves to as long as you hold down, so until the mirrors fold in and you let go, this then makes up about 2cm each time. 5 times closed the rollo hangs somewhere in the middle. SOLL: Delay time until Rollo closes or deactivation of the closure of the rollo. 3.IST: When closing and holding the remote control the mirrors drive in, when opening they are immediately extended again. SOLL: Mirror only with the one 4. IS: I have activated rain locks via vcds (gives numerous instructions)the windows are closed, the PD remains open. SOLL: Of course the PD should also be closed in case of rain I am looking forward to every post, Have fun and greet from Gochsheim.

  • Seat Leon Cupra 290 (5F) EZ 2019

Good evening together, have a few technical questions about the Seat Leon Cupra 290 (5F), more specifically about the 7-speed DSG installed there at 380 Nm / 290 HP power of the car. -> Is this a dry 7-speed DSG? -> If no, what is the change interval for the transmission oil (60tkm or 120tkm)? Another thing, if the answer to the first question should be no. Why are not only dry 7-speed DSG installed, so one saves the transmission oil change, or hangs the m it the power of 380 Nm together that the dry transmission can not bring up? Thanks for all helpful answers!

  • Service display cannot be reset despite confirmation!?!

Hello and good evening, for my brother I present a problem here: It is a Leon BJ. 2013. How to reset the service display, we know: 0.0 button and ignition etc. We also come to the menu and have confirmed the query to reset and the confirmation message “Service interval reset” appears. But at the next start nothing is reset, it appears again: Service in xxx Km or 3 days due. Also the variant with warning blinker and 0.0key we have already tried. We are perplexed. Does anyone have an idea? Greetings Sven
