Hello community, have a problem that makes itself felt like follow. Start and then the engine runs unround…between 500 and 1500 revolutions. then opened the bonnet and after a few minutes found a vacuum hose which lies freely in the engine room. He does where also the other vacuum hoses come from. Was also just in an ADAC workshop because I needed a stage after all I could not see where the one has to go. Even the mechanics have visited 20 minutes but everything without success. And since I am just in Jena and the Volvo workshop closes here already at 12 o’clock I can not expect any help there either. the end of the hose was put on it with a rubber sleeve which is torn in and at one side something is gone. So I thought that somewhere below the bridge is somewhere to settle. But I can’t find anything. Have all conceivable length paths checked where he might fit. …but I am with my Latin in this regard at the END. I guess there it sounds as if he is attracted to LUFT. But I don’t know how to do it with the LMM or maybe I’m grateful for the help.

My car’s pointing to dead mouse
My car smells like dead mouse Hello, you can already take my problem from the subject. If my S60 is standing for a certain time, it smells when I start for a few minutes after dead mouse. Not particularly pleasant. At the moment you can open the sliding roof, but in autumn it becomes more problematic… Does anyone have an idea of what that can be? I leave all inspections, the last one (100 tkm) was only two months ago and AFAIK was changed a filter. It probably won’t be there – or does it? Actually, I wanted to ignore the problem and return the car in three months, when the new one comes, but somehow the smell doesn’t get weaker, but rather stronger … rotto, who is grateful for every hint, because he doesn’t want to have the workshop extended for hours, just so that they have looked at the last ventilation tube (and earned the Christmas money)…

850 on good luck from the “Ali” buy; yes or no?
Hello! I am looking for a robust winter car for the coming years and am on the net on a black 850 station wagon with the 170hp engine (petrol engine). Running power approx. 280tkm, Bj 02/96, leather equipment, seat heating, el. seats, climate, etc. FP: 550€. After a telephone call with the seller (bad German, small dealer) I learned that the Bock has no TÜV anymore. On my question whether TÜV-relevant defects are known, he (he wanted?) could not say anything. On the pictures the car looks quite ok, also the interior equipment. Since I have quite good screwdriver experience, I would like to look at the part and try to estimate as far as it is possible, whether the TÜV can be obtained with medium effort. The basic points I look at. What do I have to pay attention to with the model and the running line in particular? Well noticed: a lifting platform will not be there, it remains with probably only a test ride and the evaluation of the road can be done. Thanks to the TÜV.

Idling problems – false air? S40 1.8 1996
Hello, since I have to fight for a long time with high idle speeds (never under 1000 rpm) to very high (1600 and then sinks down to 1200), I have come up with a test to show if the engine pulls false air, the removal of the oil refill cap is with the running engine. I did that, but only briefly because I was injected with oil (is that normal?) and see, engine has run exactly immediately (on something over 1000 rpm). First I did it only with the oil meter and since nothing happened here, I tried it with the lid. Is that now a concrete indication that it pulls false air and if yes, where do I best start with the search? ^^ Thank you in advance PS: Yes, I already started a similar thread. However, I mainly talked about white smoke from the exhaust, which got done after a Kat change. For less confusion about this here a new thread:P

V40 combined main beam and passing beam switched
Hello together This is my rster post, but I’ve been reading along for years. Now I also have a problem. A month ago I bought a V40 combo with 1.8l and 122PS (Volvo engine). The seller said that there is a flaw – the dipped-beam only goes on the main-beam position, that means light switch at 1 o’clock and pull the selector lever direction driver. High-light does not work. No problem. Electrician thinks it all through and determined: CEM defective. Driven at once I notice that the left turn signal is completely off, no relay clicks, no display in the cockpit. Warning turn signal continues to go. back to the workshop, the electrician said that it can probably also be on the CEM. So I got one thing and installed myself. And zack it happens on the position 1 o’clock something goes on! The long-distance light! But just not the dim light. That goes on still when I pull the selector on the steering wheel. Unfortunately now together with the main-light. Blinker is also not going on. But I would have a bit of luck on the radio.

XC60 R-Design in Cosmic White wanted for viewing
Hello, we want to order an XC60 today and are only not yet sure with the color. We would like to look at an XC60 in Cosmic White times in Natura, preferably as R-design. Does anyone know where such a vehicle is standing or is on the road? Preferably would be Münsterland / Ruhr area. A quick answer would be helpful because the car was already set up in the production line according to the dealer and changes are only possible until 1 December 2011. Pictures on the Internet we found, also the configurator tried and the XC60 app, but in real life such a color looks sometimes different, especially with different light incidences. Almost 400km of us is an almost identical car, but 800km to drive for it is already a lot. Thanks in advance Frank

Just ordered -> XC60 D5
Hello Volvogemeinde, I’m happy to announce that I just ordered something nice: VOLVO XC60 D5 AWD Kinetic – Silver Metallic – Hand Switch – Business Package PRO – Winter Package PRO – Outdoor Mirror Folding with Lights – Speed-dependent Power Steering – Interior Mirror Automatic Blending – Zephyrus 18″ rims – Panoramic sliding roof – Upholstery Eriksberg anthracite – Rain Sensor – Day Running Light (I hope that was not a mistake) – Protection plate rear – Hanger coupling removable So, according to me it takes now 8-10 weeks – where apparently at the moment delivery stop for XC60 is (any technical problems?) I’m going to spend the last days with my XC70… a funny feeling of being unfaithful…

Oil pressure warning light reporting! V40 2.0T Built 2001 Phase I
Moin moin, wanted to chisel to the coast over Whitsun, but it was not quite as loose then After about 150km the lamp started to flicker, then to flash in about 10 seconds distance to then permanently light up. Stopped and oil level controlled, but absolutely no loss recognizable. So I hoped that it was only the oil pressure switch and half the power went ahead. From the AB down, at traffic lights ran and the lamp goes off. Return the same game, light times on, sometimes off, sometimes on flickering. In my opinion, there were no abnormal noises. Now I have made up my mind here and think, oil pressure switch, oil sieve or oil pump as a source of error are most likely. Did oil fill up before the ride, rather than too little, can it be a problem? But as I said, if only minimally too much, the turbo is not open and there was no smoke cloud from the exhaust. My question: How do I go before the oil check?

C70 new purchase
Hello here in the forum, I’ve been reading with you for a while, but I haven’t really spoken yet. I guess it’s because I’m not (yet) a Volvo driver. But now it’s been crawling for quite a while, I’d like to buy a C70 at last. I’ve already found my desired model and a few dealers off. Now my question: How much “discount” is so inside, is there even a few percent??? And does the car also have its good sides, after all that you hear here, the car doesn’t really seem to be the yellow of the egg!? But I think the look is awesome! Oh yes, give a few nice gimicks if you buy the car then when you hand it over or conclude the contract (what)? Greeting hF
