  • Aluminium rims radiate what beam material?

    I hope I’m right with the restorers. I have a 2005 Opel with which I want to spice up the original aluminiums again. The paint has to go down and here stands a beam cabin around. Which beam material is recommended for a standard aluminium rim?

  • Pilgrim Bulldog rims/tires Combi registration/approval

    Hello together, my father and I are currently restoring our Pilgrim Bulldog BJ1989 and would like to drive on spoke rims in the future. I have a good offer for 17 inch spoke rims from Dayton Wheels with cross spokes. Currently, however, only 14 inch wheels are registered. Does anyone happen to have experience with the registration of such rims with the Bulldog? Information such as maximum load capacity etc. are on the rim. Furthermore, we also need hole circle adapters. Company epytec. Does anyone have some experience? I especially liked that I can configure the adapters there completely free, at a reasonably reasonable price, and you also get a TÜV-certificate. Thanks already and dear greetings Phillip

  • Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 Junior (2nd generation) – Problems with the gearbox expansion

    I would like to change the cranking at an Alfa Romeo Spider 1600 Junior, but I can’t get the gearbox out. I’ve already dismantled everything, tilted the gearbox, etc. But there’s always something on the sheet metal. There’s nothing in the workshop manual except “pull out”. But I can’t pull out straight, because then the switchboard is in the way and lowered, the gearbox is on. Is there any special trick to pull the gearbox out? I’m after 3h with two men with me The only thing I’d think of would be loosening the engine bearings and pushing the engine forward.

    Hello, I don’t want to bore you with the history and come directly to the current problem. If someone is interested I can also tell the whole history. I had problems with the control chain. This was exchanged including the tensioner and the rail. Because then the engine still did not run perfectly replaced a vano.     Hello together, after 5 unsuccessful workshop stays I now post my problem here. Vehicle: Volvo V70 D5 AWD Geartronic with 4C chassis KM performance so far: 0 to 23.500 km EZ: 07/2012 After the first 2500 km the problem occurred the first time. The problem: When driving around the curve, driving, parking, always when the car is slightly entangled, there is a noise like with a 20 year old VW Passat with 500,000 km. A knarze from the chassis area. Therefore wa In the beginning all the springs and moving parts were lubricated. Then, at some point, the stabilizers on the front axle were replaced and various other things were done. Now at the engine bearing something adjusted. Everything failed. 1000 – 1500 km after the workshop stay, the noise is back. Does anyone have a similar problem or an idea what it is looking for? If someone has a similar problem, please contact me 🙂 I’m a bit desperate, it’s a brilliant car, but these workshop stays are annoying. I needed to wash the vehicle ONLY, otherwise it has always been the friendly one during these stays… Dear greetings and all still nice Christmas.     Tach Forum Since I want something “new” so slowly again, I made a search at Mobile and Co.. To have an approximate value what I could get so much I invested the 8€ at Schwacke. Since the there no Heico “know” I have given a normal S 60 T 6 AWD in Summum + special equipment. With this value in mind some dealers wrote for another car and asked what they would give for mine. Today came the 11th cancellation that they would not take such a car into payment. As this would be practically unfor sale. One of them was who would have given me 1800€. I have never experienced such a thing if I wanted to give a car in payment.
