  • KTM reliability ?

    After 30 years I got a 390 ADV last fall, because I was not sure if the 790 ADV for the (re)start is not too big After I have now the first 3000 km on my 390 ADV down and already the 890 ADV tested I was almost just before the change, but……. Dude of me also bought in the fall ’20 ne 790 ADV. – After a few dogs kilometers of gear rod broken !! – 3 times Simmerring replaced because oil ran out is ! – Compensating tank front wheel brake membrane leaks and broth pulls out. Is on KTM = Not a thousand meters real. I have now heard so much negative about KTM in such a short time and read a la wille Reliability get you nn Japanese. Think seriously about getting a tenere 700 or a Triumph Tiger Raylle Pro. BIn now totally unsure, since I have been with the 890 ADV R almost before Traualtar.   • BMW ABS III (i-abs) problem

    Hi guys, I’m totally new to this forum, and this is my first forum entry ever. I hope an entry under this forum is the right kind and wise help to get. I’m Dane and that’s why my German is not flawless, but hopefully it’s enough to participate in this forum. My problem is like many others the vulnerable ABS on my BMW R 1150 RT. I’ve read a lot of things about the others in this forum that have also tried different things n not to buy 2000 EUR or more in the BMW contract workshop. Like many before me I also have the blinking of the 2 control lights (ABS and warning symbol). ABS lamp clocked in 4 seconds. Warning lamp is on. I have read about the possible errors causes (moisture damage, defective components, capacitors, rust on the pistons etc.) The question is however, why does everything work with me when the motorcycle is cold and does not have a certain heat – self test before starting n (brake lever and foot pedal tested many times over 10 minutes) and after the start of the engine everything went still OK (many times tested as before the start of the engine) – but after 5-7 minutes lesson run 600-1500 around (can unfortunately not drive in the weather – too much snow) the warning lamp starts to flash again in 4 seconds. After 15-20 minutes cooling everything is OK again – no ABS flashing and selfest OK. Incidentally – brake fluid has been changed 4 months ago. Hope One of you has an idea. Greet Steen

  • Help with purchase decision GS 1100 to 1200

    First of all a hello in the round 🙂 Short to me: I had ordered the then new GS 1100 blindly in 1993 (after several 600 single-cylinders). What should I say – the mopped was a dream. After a good one year I exchanged it for my son and since then I have hardly driven :-(. Now my wife licked blood again and organized us for two weeks a GS 1100 from 98. Now we are both so excited that we think about getting back in again. I have from Nostalgieg So I’m interested in Laie. Realistically, it’s a maximum of 2000 to 3000 km per year if a longer tour works out. Actually, it’s the 1100s great, but the slight increase in engine capacity to the 1150s, as well as the sixth gear appeals to me, as I like to work with the torque. Or a 1200s? Brake amplifier, rear axle gearbox? Rather more kilometers and newer or less kilometers and an older one? Actually, I don’t want more than € 6,000,- so my question to you: what would you do?   • Part reports and tragast at 300kmh no registration possible!!!

    Good evening It’s about the Motec Radical Mct-10 rims with parts report for the W212 E63 Amg. The vehicle is listed in the parts report and had the tyres pulled on in the parts report but they don’t get registered! Tires are 255/30 20 92y and 295/25 20 95y but because of one side in the parts report and because in the vehicle certificate stands 300kmh top speed I don’t get them registered. Has an experience done with it????

  • Wheel purchase: ET40 on ET38

    Moin, I have a question. It’s about me wanting to buy new rims from ebay. The following facts: 16x6J are the rims and the fit. The problem is that the press-in depth should be ET38 with me. Also, ET42 would go but would be a different inch size. https://reifen-groessen.de/size/seat/leon/2004/#trim-16i-16v-eudm-103 (source1). Now to my question: could I buy the rim though it would just differ by 2mm? By the way, am a bloody beginner and ha I don’t know about the whole thing.
