Very briefly the facts: The vehicle is a Mazda MX5 NC so a two-seater. I shot at the motor fair in Essen cheaply (trade fair discount) complete bikes, which I want to pick up in March. The company is in the Cologne area. I come from Bochum, about 150km (on my original rims I have now winter tires). The rim company offered me to do the assembly and registrations, which is very convenient to me. Because if there is something wrong (lenkradflattern Unbalance) I can immediately change Now it is true that a roadster is not the ultimate means of transport. I have to build out the passenger seat at home and place it in place of 2 or 3 wheels. One fits in the trunk and the other possibly on the luggage carrier. Could the Junx from the TÜV/Dekra complain if a seat is missing? The seat has an egg-built airbag, but can be switched off. It is only about the rims.

Where’s the ET?
Hello, I need a little help. I bought winter tires that don’t fit my Corsa B as expected, they don’t fit on Corsa C either. No man now knows what kind of car these tires could fit. The following is on the steel rims: Jx13 CH46 HMC. I’ve already found out what this J and 13 means. Does CH basically mean ET 46? Further there are 3 numbers on the rim, around the .. yes, 4 holes distributed: 25 or is this the ET? 05 A9 6 Is this the hole circle? Oh so, and the tires umzu haben following dimensions: 155 / 80 R13 Vielen, vielen Dank im vorvor für helpfule Reply. LG Yvonne

Remove Spikes from Tires: Tool Wanted
Hello, I am looking for a tool for moving from Sweden to Germany, as I get the spikes out of my winter tires. Theoretically it would be possible with a pointed tong, however, this is quite exhausting, especially since all 4 tires have 2 rows of spikes. I have been looking for a while on the Internet, but unfortunately only read about the fact that it would have used a tool more often in the 70s in Germany than at that time Spikes were forbidden, but unfortunately did not have more precise information found what kind of tool it is. I asked Westfalia, but they said that they didn’t lead a tool to this purpose. Does anyone know about it? I am very grateful for any help.

Thank you for your feedback dear greetings from the rainy France Walter

Picanto, Twingo, C1 & Co…. alternatives or best solution up to 6000 EUR
Hello forists, for my mother I am looking for a small or small car. There are 6000,- EUR available, which can be invested to the best of my knowledge. On top could come at most the yield from the utilization of the existing Opel Corsa B: 16 years old, HU until 03.2016 and the servo is ready, the colleague rust hovers over the vehicle like the vultures over the car. Already examined were C1 5-door (2011/2012), Picanto (2014/2015), Twingo (2010-2013). The Twingo will also fall out of the previously not mentioned Chevrolet Spark: here I lack a quality impression. Dacia is not a topic, please don’t make any suggestions about it. Nor will a smart one. In the budget you will already get a few older Clio or Corsa, which would not be necessary from the desired and required greetings. Except for a radio my mother wants as little equipment as possible. Climate can be, but does not have to be. The C1 would be good, however The Picanto fits so far, unfortunately we get for the desired budget only the “old” model and not the current one, which likes very much. Also the sitting position here is very important. It would be possible if necessary also the increase of the budget, but then it must be a “real” profit, e.g. new car / day registration or something special, that the others can not offer. I would be very pleased about suggestions, suggestions, since me in the usual booty scheme is a completely different one. Thank you in advance…

Avoid immobilizer?!
Since last WE my Park Avenue of 91 doesn’t want to start anymore. In the evening he doesn’t want to start anymore! Everything goes on, only the engine doesn’t want to start. No click, or try to start. Just nothing else! Everything goes on. Light, ventilation, radio… etc. The starter is ok. So it seems to be the immobilizer itself. With brand new keys tried. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. -.- Now I saw in the forum that someone had the same problem, and he the Einfac But unfortunately it is from 2009 and without further comment. Now I ask myself the question, how can I bypass the immobilizer? Does anyone have schematics? I’m just really broken up because he is my only car at the moment… Maybe someone can help me here?! Greetings, Marc

Fender with “round” contour
Meal, for my Pan project, find a Fender blank with a round contour (profile) for the rear wheel. Max. width of the wheel is 160mm, and I don’t want a flat-fender. Fender with a round contour is available, but apparently only for the extremely wide parts from 250mm….and so a part that costs 200-300€ to be broken, I don’t really want to. Someone’s idea…? I have already run the usual catalogs without success… NF

Mustang 2005 BCM defective – compatibility of years of construction / repair ….. and short presentation
Moin zsammmen, i am here rather the reader and not – writer, but now I need some support after all. To introduce myself briefly, i am 51, I had my first Mustang with 16 without a driver’s license in the garage (which is now restored my junior drives). I myself drive a Mustang Mach1 `72 with 351C and love everything that piffs and puffs while moving (as with the moped – but that’s another stage). Now it happened that my daughter also drive a Mustang. My wife had objected because of the performance, so only the 4.0 V6 was left, the following mustangs already had too much power. After we had bought a really good specimen, I removed the LED inserts in the rear lights for the turn signals (through the conversion of only one chamber as a turn signal), would theoretically not be allowed. 6 months later the turn signals failed to the right, the body control modules (BCM) was defective. e I had shot a used one, learned and everything was great. Well, 6 months later the BCM is defective again with the turn signals on the right. Wiring etc. is fine. I have meanwhile researched, that by the conversion the outputs of the BCM are overloaded. The rear turn signals are simply clamped to the front, behind was installed for the missing chamber of the brake flash function heating resistors, so that the flash frequency continues to fit. Now I was also clear, why LEDs were built in, the previous owner has probably already been more suffering. Now I am looking for a BCM. One with exactly the same number is not to be found except in the USA. The question is whether someone knows in how far the ECUs are compatible in the years of construction, that would expand the selection. Maybe someone also has a BCM and wants to get rid of it, the last I had bought for 55€. And …. there are LEDs in the turn signals again, which reduces the performance – Marcus (to the photo: don’t worry, I didn’t cut the wiring, at the moment it had come from the user)

Cadillac Escalade (6.0l V8) and car gas
Hello, I am interested in buying a Cadillac Escalade from 2005 with the 6.0 machine (not the 6.2 machine). The vehicle has an already installed LPG system. Now I have already read in the net a little bit about the vehicle and have read several times that the engine is not permanently gas-resistant. I would therefore be interested to what extent this is expressed then? To what extent the gas operation damages the engine and what exactly does this result at some point? What would a repair be cost-effective? is the engine even even repairable? If someone has personal experiences in the matter I am of course happy to hear about it already thank you in advance for your answers, greeting, Robert

Textile vs. leather
Moin, I’ve already read a little bit about the topic textile or leather and some people probably don’t think of a thread again, but I wanted to start something up-to-date. And knowledge gathering is always nice. Expanded with some the horizon What I have so far so “white”:Leather:Advantages: – repairable – does not shred (e.g. ADAC leather/textile test. Is already very old. I don’t know if there has changed a lot. I have to admit that I haven’t read it through. e, but the pictures say already more than a thousand words ) – flutters not disadvantages: – too warm – not waterproof – restriction of movement – care-intensiveTextile:Advantages: – comfort (carriage comfort, waterproof, breathable) – easier to care – better everyday clothingDisadvantages: – melts (if, then only aramid reinforcements available. But what brings the aramid, if it is still melting textile?) – flutters – protectors slip – scrubs through faster (e.g. leather/textile S) cheuertest) – after an accident almost always irreparable Now you are asked. What speaks for and against leather/textile? Would be nice if you also have current reports. Greeting Lex
