  • Purchase advice for C30

Hello! The leasing for my current walking aid runs out (currently a Daihatsu Copen in everyday life) and I want to buy a compact car. I have pulled the C30 into the narrower selection. It’s very important to me that I get a gasoline engine (diesel pays off with me, but I want to enjoy driving fun). Performance should be between 120 and 150 ps. There’s a Volvo 2000er. Is this a Volvo machine? What is the efficiency of the machine? I’m not looking for a turbo. My cop has just 87 ps. A little more would be nice. The 1600er is apparently nothing else than a walking aid. It immediately disappears. What about maintenance costs? Car insurance? Consumption (for example)? Are there generally weaknesses in the C30? What would you recommend me for a minimum equipment? Climate automation is a “must have” for me in any case. Just as Tempomat. Are there other things that I should pay attention to? Thanks. MfG Tom

  • Yeah, I’m happy with my moose!

Hello, for a few years now I have been browsing on these pages. It’s informative, entertaining, and I have to shake my head a little bit with one or the other thread. Because of whom something is important. Surely a whole series of visitors only report when something is broken or a piece of advice is needed. So you get the idea that the V50 is a terrible pile of junk, in particular, before which you can only grumble at best and you make the most meaningful three crosses when you have sold it. If you have at least got a reasonably bearable countervalue in Euros for it. I did not bother to browse the other forums, whether it is similar with the cars/owners there. In short: I noticed that there is no one here who seems to be satisfied with his V50. So I hope that a few people will report themselves, who are now already a long time without extra-planned nuisances their V50/40/C30 drive through the area and at this point of time.

  • Herbe Disappointment RTI – remedy?

Hello together, first I have to say once, after 3 days Volvo (our first to Mercedes, Peugeot) and 2,000 km on our holiday journey southward we are fully satisfied with the Volvo D5. Sparable, powerful, comfortable and plenty of space. Now only the children have to come to the world… So to say this first thing: The Volvo has been the best choice for us next to a 5 BMW kombi or the E-Class combi, so I don’t want to make the car bad, just because I (we) are not satisfied with the Navi. But (trotzdem)… : So, as far as the RTI-Uschi is concerned: There is my very first Aldi-Uschi still the best navigation system, what there is. And maybe still the Mercedes installation solution in the C-Class. Rechnet fast, is clear and pre-alternatively? the Aldi variant has to turn the alternative route super fast again, because because because of the relative lack of visibility of the display has missed a junction. Today, when we were on the way around Vienna. Chaos is going to me, now the easy, has to do not make the same thing, the same thing, but the same thing to turn fast again, the other thing.

  • Phaeton and mandatory “door-to-door syndrome”

Hello guys, let’s ask you a question: The Phaeton has really super stable and heavy doors, but that’s exactly what happens when you close the door again and again with a big riot. The closing point of the door always requires a relatively big swing and after that the door usually closes, that becomes a fear and fear. That can’t be ideal in the long run or? Should the windows still be at the bottom of the door, I am always afraid that they will jump out, one hears so correctly that the glass inside shimmers through the impact. I didn’t notice this in any other car on such a large scale, since the doors are not so extremely difficult. Do you have the same problem? (Zzuzuzuzuhilfe ist ein invalide Antwort ) Greeting, Pete

  • Phaeton fans invite — Room Frankfurt

Hello you, after there were some positive comments on the thread of PhartonFan regarding meetings in Oberwiesenthal. And also a few users wanted a meeting in the area Frankfurt/Main, here is the small survey, what you imagine there. Just a small meeting in the evening on a beer/cola/cocktail. During the week or on the weekend. Or an adult meeting with day program, exit, visits with overnight stay over a weekend? A simple meeting in the evening : e.g. at the Steigenberger Hotel Frankfurter Hof there is the Oscars or 22nd Lounge on the 22nd floor of a high-rise building (right next to the Maintower) If it should be something more extensive : e.g. drive to the Feldberg/Taunus, visit of the Roman Castells Saalburg near Oberursel or the Hessenpark, viewing platform on the Maintower in Fft with a view over Fft. Goethe Strasse for the ladies to let the credit cards glow. Lunch/Event meal : Red mill at Kelkheim (is waiting for an excursion place) or your reactions.

  • VW Phaeton 3.0 TDI with 240 ps bj 2008 solid model?

Hello dear community, I am currently looking for a Phaeton in the above mentioned version. Can you give me hints for this purchase? Does the engine have special weaknesses? I am well aware of the costs with this car. Is there any competent free workshops or Phaeton drivers in the area Hamburg/Lüneburg who have already built up their network around this beautiful car? So far I have only come across deaf nuts. I hope for numerous profitable feedbacks. Greeting Steffen

  • “Resonance trouble”?

Hello together, I drive a V10 TDI. I actually pay very much attention to the care of the vehicle… Now it may be that I become oversensitive, but I think there would be something after I did not drive the V10 through repairs / maintenance and turbocharger replacement a few weeks. My wife thinks I’m imagining something and the friendly also looks at me stupidly, if I want to show him what I mean. Car started – whether cold or warm. Speed in idle on _EXAKT_ 1200 rpm. There is something felt, as if somewhere a resonance frequency were caught. Somehow I mean, because “feeling” a very minimal wobble, as if you want to shake. Speed remains completely quiet. At minimum other speed it is gone. In driving mode there is nothing to feel at all. I really picture what one or what I should clean the workshop with emphatic replacement? Error memory is of course empty. Last performed work: – Turbo replacement (beside, understands) – Complete cleaning – flushing – was really replaceable – the fuel – was used – I really need to clean the workshop with stress.

  • Engine runs round, various parts already replaced Volvo V40 BJ , 2,0T

Hello dear ones, I’m very desperate right now and need help. My Volvo ran a while unround, apparently means on 3 cylinders instead of on fours. Since the plugs to the ignition coils were already falling quite apart from the age, we changed them. No change, but on the contrary, everything worse: it only ran on 2 cylinders. Then we changed the ignition coils, because only the cylinders ran on them the coils are on it. Also no real improvement. Finally, the cables to the other two cylinders measured, had no passage, exchanged and runs now on 4 cylinders, but somehow he doesn’t take the gas properly, he stutters so little ahead of him, but he doesn’t properly run. I don’t know how to describe it differently. I have a few guys at my hand who know each other, but there is now everyone with his Latin at the end. Maybe you still have the one or other idea. Otherwise I have to explain him for dead and that would be really thank you for your tips in advance, Amlie

  • Sludge flushing, engine flushing

Hello everyone! I would be interested if a motor flush is the same as a mud flush. Both are offered and both flushes should be added to the old oil, let the engine run 10-20min and then make the oil change. Furthermore, I wonder if I have to drain about 1l of waste oil before, because then the flush is added and then would be too much in the engine if you should let it run. My colleague also said that after the flushing you should definitely degrade the oil tank and clean the sieve from the oil pump. Since it could be joined by larger dirt parts that are released during the flushing.
