  • Ignition oscillations when engine is cold

Hello, I drive a 3, 2l V6 and have the problem that the engine in the cold area has ignition oscillators on the 1 and also on the 5 cylinder. After the oil has reached a temperature of 80 degrees, the engine runs smoothly and all cylinders work without any problem. Ausgelsen at the dealer also has only ignition oscillators Bank 1 and machsmal Bank 5 shown. All ignition rods & spark plugs were changed no improvement. Compression measurement was with all cylinders i.o. dealer meant I should possibly still make a pressure loss measurement, because he suspects that either a burnt valve or the pressure over the piston rings escapes. My guess is that it is an electrical problem. Maybe someone has an idea what could be the cause. For feedback I am very grateful.

  • It’s a problem.

Have my Phaeton (Bj. 2006, 3.0 TDI) not so long. However, I have the problem that the dipped-beam causes problems. It goes out very briefly and the error message comes: “Please check your light” (or so similar) It goes about 2 to 5x in a row. Then again 150km nothing and everything is fine. A false signal light is to be seen on the left of the middle monitor. When I turn off the car and turn it on again, however, it is gone. Today I was in the workshop to do a customer service, but it could not be read out. I was very pleased that the car master attested the top condition of the vehicle. But what that could be with the dipped-beam, he did not know. Yes, tonight it was again. No matter if with faster or slower driving mode. In the middle of the highway it went out and on several times after each other. (Good that there is still a fog light.) But still, now I am without a guess. Think me, it might be known that this is a problem and I know how to remove it.

  • RNS810 Update V9: How to detect successful installation?

Hello together, have used a small tour yesterday evening to make an update for my year 2009 RNS810. The DVD was immediately recognized and asked if I only want to use it at short notice or save it. After the selection “Save” it took only a short time until I was in the selection menu and could navigate. I did not notice any changes and so I am not sure if everything is fine, because with my last vehicle such an update took almost an hour. Is there somewhere a menu where you can see if the current version was taken over correctly? Ciao, Allenquatsch

  • Rain sensor – is retrofitting worth it ?

Hello, for a few weeks have a used S80 (BJ 1999) with a great equipment. Only the rain sensor is missing. From my last rental car I was very spoiled by the comfort of an existing rain sensor (except for the rain sensor in the Renault, which was scrap), in the current weather situation (continuously changing light precipitation) you have to constantly huddle without rain sensor at the windscreen wiper. Especially during long highway rides this is annoying. Therefore my question: how well does the rain sensor work ? – is it worth retrofitting (is that at all ?) ?

  • Your Volvo XC90 (2002 to today)

The magazine “AUTO TEST” will soon publish a second-hand car purchase consultation on the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) and will also use the experience of the MOTOR-TALK users who drive such a car. If you would like to participate in this, I would ask you to answer the following short questions in this topic: 1. Your Volvo XC90 (2002 to today): Year of construction, model and motorization? 2. How many kilometers did you drive with it and what proportion does urban traffic have? 3. Number of required workshop stays/costs: too low, appropriate or too high? 4. Do you particularly like the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) …? 5. Do you particularly resent the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) …? 6. Would you buy the Volvo XC90 (2002 to today) again? I am happy if one or the other takes part. Please don’t write too much, short quotes have the chance to be published (at least if they are representative).

  • Reviews XC70 D5, 2005, 136 kW searched

Hello! After some comparison rides with other XC70 / V70 and S60 models I notice that my own XC70 D5, 2005, 136 kW in the interior is very loud, roars like a leaky exhaust (but that’s definitely fine), the acceleration (11 sec and more to 100, problems with overtaking in the range around 100-120 kmh..) not intoxicating, very long starting time, until 2000 rpm it lasts miserable long, then finally comes the “Schub”, but soon after that is gone and from 3000 rpm only ends in volume, and not least an enormous consumption of not under 8.5 liters diesel on motorway rides, in normal day use was the peak value 10.0 liters on 100 km (!). S60 and V70 drivers (all with the 185 hp D5er), who have made a test ride with my car, were each of the opinion that “there would be something not fit”. Also my ride with a S60 and a V70 have clearly shown that the behaviour of the vehicles is quite different, as yourstance is to take note of the order of the X70, how you have seen your fault.

  • Cooling water loss……heat exchanger?!

Hello dear people, the Sufu spits out a lot on this topic, but nothing that I can so easily connect MeinV 70, Built 2000, 140 HP has slight waste water loss I have to drop off and then something, I have excluded the heat exchanger so far because my carpets in the footroom are all dry. Today I changed the preliminary resistance from the blower, but I noticed that all cables in the area are slightly damp, from touching clearly cool water. Could that come from the defective or leaky heat exchanger? Thank you and greeting from VB, Peter

  • Where can I buy spare parts for a V70 EZ 05/02?

Hello dear Volvo municipality, I have had a V70 2.4 Comfort since 09/08 and am super satisfied. Can you tell me where I can buy inexpensive spare parts (backpane wiper complete with arm) and other spare parts?. I was in a wash in Marl at the Zechenstr., where my rear windscreen wiper was damaged. When I noticed this damage the next day I drove there immediately. The managing director told me that the damage did not occur with Him, but obviously someone was stolen the wiper but replaced it with a new one. Cheerfulness, maybe you can help me further how I can assert the damage. Thank you!. With eco-logical greetings Frank
