  • New track rod required?

Hello together, I ask for expert answer and help regarding the following situation and following question: On my account of the Mercedes-Benz branch I find, apart from the order given (declared with A1), the following separate additional position (declared with 02): “Technical objection: fixing screw of the track rod on the left in the rubber bearing not detachable / fixed” -> “Loading: Renewing track rod on the left of the rear axle (resolve track rod on the HA support)” -> “Materialkoste n: A203 350 03 53 Track rod and A202 990 11 51 Hexagon nut” Why does it require a new track rod, if only its fixing screw in the rubber bearing was apparently not detachable to dismantle the track rod from the rear axle carrier? I thank you in advance for your answers.

  • Orginal Mercedes heater doesn’t make it warm???

Here we have our “new” short G and I am very happy because he has a heater. So the big surprise on and after half an hour: the car is actually still freezing cold. So in the user manual read again… my husband and son activated… new attempt with fully turned-on heater and again almost no heating in the car. Our conclusion: the heater must be broken! So off with the G in the factory In advance the call that I can pick up the G again… the heater works perfectly. On my request, how that can be (whether we are too stupid to operate the part), the following answer: “If you want it to be really warm, you have to have a proper heater retrofitted… e.g. from Webasto. The Mercedes heater serves only the de-iron of the windows, it doesn’t get really warm.” But when I read the operating instructions there is: The heater h What’s right now? Do I have a heater or just what that means? Or does the workshop have a problem? I would be really grateful for your help! If you had any problems, I would be happy to help you.

  • In addition to OM 656 further engine variants available in the future?

Hello together, does anyone of you know if it is planned to bring further engine variants with perhaps only 4 cylinders, next to the OM 656, which will be ordered from this month, for the G-Class on the market? So the car could also be significantly cheaper. Thank you in advance.

  • Price drop S-Class or What does an S cost in 8 years?

Hello @all If you look around at various car exchanges, you get cars like the former S-Class (W140) already starting from 6000 Euro – and that with cars which once cost well over 100,000 DM. Now the W140 in many eyes is anything but elegant (unless one calls also a Leopard 2 A5 battle tank as elegant ). What do you think will cost in 5 – 8 years a model of the current S-Class from the beginning time? Then something could be spun into the future. The next or the next car will certainly be a car that is still largely priceless for most people today… What is your opinion on this?

  • Wanted: Solder Fitting SAE Air-Conditioning Compressor Air-Conditioning Service Unit Refrigeration Technician

Hello, is there a climate/refrigerating system technician on the way here, who can tell me where to get this fitting? Background: The air conditioning compressor of an air conditioning service unit no longer runs (condenser tested, start relay tested, compressor seems to block, then pulls current until the internal temperature protection triggers. Sometimes it seems to build up minimal pressure and when you switch power off, it seems to run backwards because the piston turns the engine in the other direction. W The two are ok, connections are pressureless, so no too high back pressure. Relay has passage, if you hold it upside down. Without starter condenser it only buzzes, so it seems to be heading in the right direction. I no longer have a defect, why ever. . Plan is now to get replacement compressor and let the fittings solder hard from a climate operation. Or the old ones solder off, but I lack the experience, if this is so easy when soldering hard. connections/threads are SAE 1/4 or 3/8. The larger connection looks soldered together, T-piece with one side screw valve, then above an adapter SAE 1/4 to SAE 3/8, third side tube? When soldering I first thought that the adapters are plugged into the tube on the compressor and then hard soldered, but when looking more closely they seem to have put the fitting outside on the tube. (Normally one would plug in a tube 6 or 8 mm). it is the thread, because the counterpart has a collar and an O ring, in principle the same connection as e.g. on the filter dryer. I have already searched through many air conditioning shops and catalogs, I don’t find these parts, they are mostly SAE connections with rim or directly larger/other calibers. Questions therefore: 1. Does someone know a source of supply (I fear that a climate operation does not have such a thing in stock (or is it common material after all?) 2. et solder again and simply solder on the new compressor, if necessary clean/drill a little, so that you have a clean gap. (Of course, when soldering/dissolving rinse with N2). 3. Is there anything else about the compressor?

  • How do you recognize a very sporty tyre?

I’m still trying to understand how it can be that the previous owner of my S-Max used more than two complete tire sets with actually wear-free tires in a good 50 tkm, while I, who myself is quite fast on the road, had a much lower consumption. Heavy curvature rubbing would be seen at the worn-out outer edges, but they are hardly affected. What do you see very hard acceleration and braking from? Sawtooth? nten? The tires are all very uniform and have really only minimal feelable saw tooth.

  • Electric scooter throttle defect

Hello, My scooter (Kreidler galactica) is throttled to 45 km/h. However, the throttle is not really functional for a few weeks now that it starts to throttle at c.a. 41 km/h and then partly throttled down to 35 km/h. I thought that this is the cdi and bought me a new one. When I installed this I got a spark of ignition but this was so weak that the scooter did not jump on. Once it is on however, he ran very restless and went out again. Does anyone perhaps know which throttle it is and how I can renew it? Since one can currently only very laboriously drive with the scooter because he always slows down I am very grateful for any help. Lg Henry
