Hello, in my search for a second-hand car I always come across offered former car rental cars. These are unfortunately only difficult to recognize as such. An example of last weekend: On my direct question, whether the Renault Mégane was a former car rental, this was expressly denied by the offering Renault dealer. Rather, the car had been admitted to Renault AG, which only a factory member could be considered a pre-user. However, I discovered a sticker from the Hertz company on the inside of the driver’s sun visor. The dealer pointed out that it was quite possible for Renault to transfer his vehicles to car rental companies. I watched as soon as possible to disappear from the dealer’s yard. Therefore, my question: Is it up to a dealer (apart from the obligation to tell the truth) to mark a former car rental as such so that this even without direct demand?

Long-distance comfort of the seats – also possible in the golf class?
Today I drove for the first time long distance with my wife’s focus. (500km) Despite breaks during the ride, I felt really tense at the end and the neck hurt. Now I have a new car waiting for me, that due to a professional change has to last for a 50,000km a year (hs long distance). (with my Golf III I have certainly not driven any more distance over 80km for 11 years, therefore I also lack any reference seat impressions) I wanted therefore ask which models in the lower middle class (golf and co.) have really good seats, which are also suitable for long distance. My seat position is actually oriented according to the guidelines of DEKRA and Co. (relatively high, arms and legs slightly angled at full pedal step, contact to the backrest) I post this here, because it is a cross-brand topic, and is also safety relevant. (bad seats -> driver not relaxed) A Lösu ng would be pro-owned, but I think it is difficult to sit all models for several hours. (since the seats are usually still different with the equipment variant) Would be happy if some opinions could be gathered here.

4 tires stolen from trunk – pampy reaction of rinkens – what lessons do you draw from it?
I bought a 79 Cadillac in New Hampshire in the fall and let the dealer put 4 tires in the trunk (that’s cheaper; unit price there 80 dollars instead of 125 euros) When the car arrived here last week, there were no tires in the trunk. I then turned to the freight forwarder and asked quite innocently if you could do something. I did not ask for anything, I was hoping for a culant solution. Of course, I did not accuse theft, would it be also stupid, because tens of people could be considered suspects, you don’t even know if the tires in the USA or Dtl. got away. Then the Rinkens employee flaunts me by e-mail as follows (all quotations 1:1 from e-mail are copied): (Write and typing errors in the original) By the way: Of course I can’t conjure that the dealer put the tires in place, but since he did a lot of work on the car exactly as promised, I assume that he didn’t want me here. If he wanted to cheat me***, he would have had many other and more lucrative opportunities to do so. Of course, the freight forwarder in the USA might have stolen the tires. The statement is also stupid: “There was a staggering way away in the past, but that’s a popular method, a dissatisfied customer, to keep in mind: “Everybody thinks we’re great, only you always have something to complain about. and I don’t even think I can claim damages. However, I draw the following lessons for myself:

Shipping from the USA – with which company? Rinkens or Pangaea?
Hello, I will take 2 used but new vehicles from the USA to Germany in 2-3 weeks and ask myself who I should order with it. I would love to have a contact person in Germany, but I don’t have to be. I have taken Rinkens and Pangaea Cargo into the nearer selection. Pangaea Cargo has communicated fantastically and answered all questions but their ALL-RISK insurance covers no scratches and paint damage!? The Rinkens contact here in the states schei nt not to read my emails properly, anyway I still have some unexplained questions like e.g. insurance cover. Who can you recommend me? 2 cars from Houston to Bremerhaven deliver in undamaged condition with minimal stress for me? 🙂 Thank you!

Cadillac workshop in the north ? Where ?
Moin, I’m going to get a new vehicle next year. I’m thinking of buying a Cadiillac. Object of desire is currently a CTS 3.6 but it could also be a SRX or STS. On the HP of Cadillac my next dealers would be in Lohne, Porta Westfalica or Neubrandenburg. I live in Hamburg. For inspections or repairs a little far away. Is there a reasonable and reliable working company in HH or environment at such a company? Otherwise I would have to look around for (vehicle) alternatives. Greeting Stefan

Jeep Wrangler on diesel?!?
Hello together: I am a bloody beginner with many ideas in my head, unfortunately a lot will not be possible, I know that! but to my ‘project’: I have to buy a Jeep Wrangler of a medium old year of construction (ca. from 1998) and to completely disassemble this car with galvanized car and galvanized frame with 295′ he tires and sidepipes (at the B-pillar high) and threshold protection rougher, as well as solid front and rear bumpers rebuild! now my question: because the consumption of approx. 15-18 ltr at 4.0 seems a little high my question about the options: Conversions on gas? With nem 2.5 ‘er likes? or even what is my favorite at the moment: convert to a solid MB or BMW rows 6-cylinder diesel engine with approx. 2.5-3 ltr.? What do you see as useful, what is feasible, what is not? and how do you see my chances? I am grateful for any feedback! Exhaust could look like on this Suzi:

Car until approx. 450€
I am looking for a car up to 450€. Although the purchase is not yet immediately at the door (as expected in September), I would like to inform myself well beforehand. I have considered the following models and would need a decision help: Mercedes C-Class W203, I like optically from the outside best, from the inside least, because I have to be satisfied with the VorMOPF model with my budget. Probably consumes the most of all and has the well-known R BMW 3 Series E46 Visually from inside and outside for me in the midfield. If, then probably only a 320er up (because of the steering chain problem) from MOPF (because of axle problems) would be possible. Will be problematic to find a model in the budget, which was not kicked. Audi A4 B6 Optical from outside so lala, from inside with the golf most beautiful, since the most modern. Over the A4 I did not find any real defects, would be very grateful Golf 5 jumps out a bit for enlightenment It’s hard to find one in the budget, mostly high mileage (but more often with a new ZR). It’s also hard to find an engine outside the 1.4r in the budget, don’t think it’s particularly fun. My driving profile: 80% highway, 10% AB, 10% city. I’ll be sure about my mother. Drive about 8,000km/year. Which of the listed candidates would you prefer, according to the budget? What kind of motorization/carrying gear is recommended? If applicable, directly recommended ads (PLZ 24113)?

General questions on the possible purchase of new cars
Hello! Since the current car is getting a bit older and several repairs are increasing, I wanted to ask questions before buying a new car and know your opinion on certain topics, because you often hear different things: – If you compare a sandero with a more expensive small car like the Fabia, where do you recognize most deficits? Similarly equipped they cost 12k or 19k and now I wanted to know whether this is more the longevity, material, workmanship or other How are cheaper manufacturers such as Kia or Hyundai to assess? Are they in between or are they all the same nowadays? – At the VW Group, I keep hearing that there are still enormous problems with the DPF. Is that part of the past or is that still the case today that problems arise when short distances are often left behind? Is it true that the French are less affected by this? – What is the oldest car that is found in today’s vehicles? Diesel engine? Is this the dci k9k engine or are there older ones? – What do today’s cars do better than the current ones about 10 years ago? Are these simply consistent developments and the biggest differences in the equipment found or especially in the safety, consumption and the chassis? Personally, the last three points don’t seem to me really enormously improved. If I sit in a Clio 3 or a current polo, it doesn’t seem to me as if d he is better at these points about worlds or how do you see it? I’m all about the expert opinion of others to see which vehicle you should save on. I’m grateful about different views. Sg

Battery, fuel indicator, indicator, brake light, starter defective
Hi, in the following order my Peugeot 50s scooter gives up one part after the other. Since 1/2 year usually only the kick starter is going, no problem, because by kick it always went on and drives also wonderful. Blinker, light etc. everything worked so far. On Monday it started this week. The tank indicator only shows “empty”. When starting the scooter short jumped up, then immediately again to 0. Also half as wild, because driving is wonderful, lights etc. also. Wednesday: Blinker Wednesday evening: also the light is no longer working and when I checked at home more precisely, I had to find that the brake light is no longer working. The electric starter, apparently no longer working. So it didn’t turn on reliably for a long time now, but it doesn’t even jerk. As if I hadn’t pulled the brake at the start attempt. So yesterday to the workshop. Safety swapped, brand new battery The workshop master said that the battery had destroyed the electronics. To make sure, I was still at another workshop, which otherwise sold China scooters. This also tried it briefly with starter cable on the battery, a little screwed up and then sent me back home. I should go to a Peugeot dealer, because the electronics probably several Can this be true, so the battery can do so much damage and destroy one part after another? Or do I just have to find a better workshop? Peugeot dealer, unfortunately, there is not a single one in the vicinity of 2h. To drive with the 50’s scooter without roadways even further/longer. And without brake light and co I fear that the next police control would pull me out of the traffic. Any ideas from your side or experience with Peugeot Macken? Thanks for help and tips
