I am an epileptic with a driving license, because my seizures are usually just focal and do not affect my motor skills. I also have to take 1 x per year for inspection, etc. In the last I have the problem, however, that my seizures are getting a little stronger and especially that these are triggered by the very glaring brake lights (e.g. current Audi models)!!! So I got used to driving sunglasses (even at night…which is not necessarily the road safety issue). and wanted to ask if there is also an EU directive for brake lights? And if so, is this also controlled? With some LED lights I have subjectively the feeling that the lights are brighter than the fog closing light. Sure I am only a minority, but also I am dependent on the car and would hate to give it up. Also in my circle of acquaintances the complaints about the glaring lights accumulate, especially when you are in the dark at the amp l stands directly behind such a driver and the one who has the foot on the brake all the time.

Falling for fraudsters
Hello, my parents have gone to a “Danish” fraudster on the Laim. He stated (in English) by email that he wanted to sell his vehicle. My parents became aware of him or his vehicle via the Internet. After they had exchanged some mails, they arranged for yesterday morning at a Bielefeld hotel, where the car purchase was to be carried out. The presumed buyer said to be a 65-year-old man who wanted to meet in a Bielefeld hotel. In order to be able to meet half way, he asked my parents to deposit an amount of 3,500 euros at the Postbank. My parents inquired at a bank near them and they were assured that this drive was possible without any problems, since the money in Bielefeld was only possible by my father showing his identity card and the indication of a PIN number. On this statement, my parents asked me to send a letter to the Postbank. The potential seller asked my parents to fax him a copy of the deposit so that he could be sure that my parents would also come to Bielefeld and that he would not have travelled the way out of Denmark for free. ALs my parents then arrived in BIelefeld yesterday and asked at the hotel for the buyer, they had already there to know that about 30 more people had already been there and that with these My parents then went directly to the post office where they had deposited the money and had to find out that the money had already been collected by a third person on Friday. The bank could not give my parents any further statements regarding the pick-up location, time etc.. My parents then drove to the police and filed charges for fraud. Unfortunately, it turned out there that on the certificate, the e my parents have sent the “buyer”, the PIN number, with which the card was collected. The fraudster then forged an identity card and picked up the card. Did someone here experience a similar case and know if my parents have a way to get their money back? Is there a mistake of the bank? I would be very pleased about answers. Thank you in advance Nina

Day running light – position light (approvals)
I have a question about the TFL, I have already read in many different forums about it, but none answers my question as I originally asked it. I myself drive a Seat Ibiza 6J BJ 2008 and wanted to upgrade TFL. I found something now on Dayline Here’s the link, and there’s something of an R87 approval for daytime running light. In the description below (I like) “The installed relays switch automatically from Ta As soon as the main headlight is switched on, do I have an approval with an R87 approval for this, that the TFL will then be dimmed as soon as I turn on the normal light? Petition on the receipt of the steel safety plank and underrun protection for motobikes
More and more steel guardrails disappear and are exchanged for rigid walls, which reduces our safety. Steel guardrails absorb the energy of the impact instead of completely passing it on to the vehicle occupants. Furthermore, many conventional guardrails are still not equipped with underrun protection. This can be lifesaving. And because something has to change, I would like to draw attention to a current e-petition at the Bundestag. https://epetitione n.bundestag.de/index.php?… A good thing to look into. Finally, it’s about our safety. Greetings M-otto

Underbody protection
Hello people I’ve been dealing with the topic of rust or underbody protection for a long time. But since all a little more or less different sayings I ask you. My favorite would be Brunox Epoxy after that Prime then Coloring Black Then underbody protection there is however also made of bitumen or based on wax. In a video I saw someone carrosserie garage Brunox then takes rope fat ready. I’m concerned about long-term preservation not only to cover the rust that I sand off I will not move the car in the snow salt or storm. That it gets rain off it is normal can happen but it should be for nice days. The underbody of stone strokes and humidity as well as it is protected. Now I was in the hardware store there tells me the bitumen underbody protection on it would have done the Americans like that. Thought ok he wants to fuck me or me. And the caprice really doesn’t have much rusting on the underfloor comes untreated yet again by no matter what you lubricate on it. That all the later rusts inwards I don’t have a peek on it either. Please tell us about your best experiences best thanks

No time to buy a car?
Not quite the right subforum, but I didn’t find a more suitable one. My car (Volvo S60 T5) is quite at the end, more than 210tsd kilometers on the clock, 12 years old, Tüv expired last month and besides some not Tüv Relevant but annoying defects, I would probably need new shock absorbers, new brakes, new Simmering. Also the ABS is out daily and the tires are now also at the end. I still have the first turbo, which does not cause any problems. In short i ch don’t think that it pays to put in so much money again, because it would probably be at least 3,000€. Now I’ve been looking for a while, unfortunately it always fails because of the time to look at a vehicle and especially to have it checked out at the well-known places (Tüv, Dekra). During the week I leave the house at half past 7 and am usually not back before 8 pm, this is on the one hand a lot of work and on the other hand I have 50km easy to drive, which is why I already daily 2- 3 hours in the car. So actually only Saturday is left, but if I am not sitting in the office, I also have the problem that none of the test sites is open or a check without an appointment, which has to be done again 1-2 weeks before. Unfortunately I have too little idea myself to be able to assess a vehicle. I have tried it now with some vehicles, but had always bad luck, sometimes I called Mondays and made an appointment on Saturdays ht, unfortunately, the advertisement was then deleted Wednesdays and on request I was informed that the vehicle is already sold. Now I had an appointment with a flag dealer next week, reserved for the week especially next week on Saturdays an appointment with the Tüv, now I see this morning in mobile already again “This vehicle is no longer available” … Are you all so flexible easy to see several vehicles during the week or you buy all e only with dealers of trust where you don’t need a check?

First car with good price-performance ratio in NRW
Hello, I have had my driver’s license for more than ten years now without my own car and always drove the car from my siblings or parents if necessary. In the meantime, the dependent mobility is very annoying, which is why I want to buy my own car soon. Unfortunately I have hardly any idea about the current car market and would be happy about some suggestions. Maybe you know a few offers with good price-performance ratio from the Ruhr area. My demands are not high, except that it should be a low-maintenance, inconspicuous and inexpensive vehicle in maintenance. – The price frame is at the most 3000€ – compact / small car (with the offers that I have looked at, especially the Ford Fiesta was positive, but for other brands/models I am completely open) – Equally urban and motorway traffic – Cheap insurance costs – Expected travel of approximately 12-14000 km Thank you for reading.

2nd tyre pitcher in 6 months
Moin. For the second time within about 6 months, the tire has burst/cracked on the front side of the driver. The track was, was and is set correctly. Grinding tracks in the wheel box were not visible. Does anyone have an idea or solution?
