My experience with a Brilliance BS4
Hello together, I had last week the “honor” (or even more the bad luck) to drive a Brilliance BS4 for two days. Well, what should I say?! For the price the car has disappointed me more than. I was aware from the beginning that I can not compare this car with a car from the VAG group but on the whole I would not lie down for the car 500€. Defects: – Clear processing weaknesses everywhere. Clammers and rappels everywhere. – The seats were completely uncomfortable. Na I noticed it in the back. – The steering wheel had extremely “game”. The chassis was really nothing pleasant. At 80km/h (faster I didn’t dare) you didn’t even want to touch the steering wheel, otherwise you thought that the car fell over. Not a nice feeling – you don’t need to talk about the safety standards. No ESP and 2 airbags are no longer up to date today. – Circuit and motor are comparable to my old previous Golf 2 BJ 1985. Motor brake with the Geartronic: between nice and unusable?
Hi together, after I not only became aware by the MT that most (not all!) Volvo GT drivers (sounds good, right? 😉 don’t use the beautiful GT at all, but let this expensively paid feature be gammeln in front of me – I wanted to devote myself (who also does not use the GT for manual switching) to a small additional feature of the GT (or any other automatic): the engine brake. Brake lining and disc cost money – the wear of the engine by motor brake In addition, you learn to drive more carefully, because the GT does not always work as a motor brake. It’s a lock installed (only in the D5 or do the petrol engines also?), which prevents the D5 from turning too high by switching it down too early. It’s embarrassing, if I actually need the motor brake very important, because the brake is down, I can’t use the engine brake either. I have to brake before I can then use the engine brake. Isn’t it a good idea, isn’t it? The only learning effect (as I have just written before) is that you learn to drive more forward-looking to use the engine brake (is not only a positive effect because of the fuel prices). Clutch question
I can see if I ask a so profane question here: Is it harmful for the clutch if one stops at a short stop (e.g. traffic light, or stop-and-go in the traffic jam) with already inserted (1.) gear the clutch pedal, so NOT switches into the Leelauf ?
