  • Black metallic new paint. What can I do wrong

Hello, I would have liked some advice from you! I took over an A6 the day before yesterday. I didn’t configure the vehicle myself, so I’m a bit blank when it comes to maintenance: the vehicle is metallic-black (myth-black) and the more I read about the care of black cars, the more I get the feeling of leaving my hands on it. I have a black motorcycle (RNineT) with a black painted aluminum tank. Micro scrapers come in from looking at it. I hope So I would like to do something good to the vehicle by hand without running the risk of polishing holograms in the paint. I guess everything without grinding particles would be something for me. So far I only have one Sonax spray wax (does not convince me so much so far) and Meguiars Swirl Remover (also with this I have improved with the BMW rather smeared). Can I do anything at all to get the black a little more shiny, until now the black man I would be very happy about product recommendations for my special application case and maybe also something for implementation. In advance thank you and nice greetings.

  • Lime stains – vinegar cleaner?

Hello, I was at an ADAC driving safety training today. Due to the constant watering of the track, my car naturally looked like sow. My problem is that there are lots of stains on the paint, I guess it’s lime stains that have burned cleanly into the paint through the sun. Having arrived at home, I washed the car by hand, so I didn’t see it much better after the leathering, I immediately washed it a second time by hand. It still looks terrible to me, but especially on the bonnet and at the thresholdrs. Did I have a nano-sealing made two weeks ago with the conditioner, but doesn’t seem to have stopped the lime as well How do I get rid of the lime stains? Dilute the car with normal vinegar ringers with water? Does it attack the sealing? Or maybe other tips, but I didn’t want to polish it, otherwise I would have saved myself the sealing. Thank you MFG

  • 330e longer 230V charging cable possible ex works?

Today I brought a 330e test car and hung it in the underground garage on an existing 230 V socket. Unfortunately the charging cable is about 1 m too short, so that I had to park it the other way (forward) as usual (see photo). Extension cable should not be used (because of temperature monitoring in the plug?) and that would be quite clumsy with me: Directly behind my TG-Platz I have a hobby room which is separated with roller gate and in it is a socket in approx. 1.5 m Höh e. This is on the right side (driver side) if I park backwards, but nevertheless the enclosed cable is too short and is not enough if I put it on the floor so that I can let the roller gate down again. I will usually leave the cable plugged in in the hobby room during the day and want at least the plug to be secured by the roller gate – if I would take a normal extension cable, the whole cable with brick would lie unprotected in the TG and anyone could just take it by the way… Does anyone know if you can order a longer charging cable when ordering instead of the attached one (my friend has no idea, at least the hybrid). Any tips?

  • Why is the X1 xdrive25e not Bafa eligible

Hello everybody, I was happy to see that the X1 is available as a hybrid at the beginning of the year. This fits very well in my case. Unfortunately, the X1 probably didn’t add it to the Bafa list of eligible vehicles. Even though the X3 did. (https://www.bafa.de/…/electromobilitaet_fahrzeuglistung.html) Does anyone know what’s going on? Greeting Hubertus

  • BMW Plugin Hybride: What is the reason for the lack of speed increase?

Hello all, clear, 230 km/h on the example of the 330e hybrid is a lot, without question. But with a system performance of 292 hp the classic 250 km/h are easily included. It is completely normal in comparison with Mercedes e.g. that strongly motorized plug-ins also reach the 250 km/h. Since BMW is celebrating the dynamics, I don’t understand that? Does BMW actually have a technical deficit here? If someone knows that, I like to clarify.. “Or is it just a banal reason according to the motto: The H ybrid mustn’t be faster than the pure petrol?” (130e vs. 330e Hybrid) Curious greetings Florian

  • BMW X1 xDrive25e. Where does the high price come from?

The technical data and the basic price of the new X1 hybrid have now been released for me surprisingly the high price point of 45,250 €. Does anyone have an idea how this can come about? The sDrive 18i is 320€ more expensive than the 218i Active Tourer with the same motorization on the same platform. Therefore, I would have expected that the xDrive25e would also cost 320€ more than the 225xe Active Tourer. That would be 42,850 €. – 240€ more. The minimally larger battery will hardly be due to the fact that the cost of battery systems will fall rather than rise. Additional standard equipment compared to 225xe was not announced. It just seems to me that the customers at BMW should pay the manufacturer’s share of the environmental bonus. Very unsightly.

  • Chewing advice Roll-off tipper

Hello together, for our biomass power plant, which will be in operation shortly, must in future drive about 20,000 cbm wood chips from the forest to our plant every year. For a few weeks now I have been looking for a used truck with roll-off tipper. I have so far been able to find up to 25000 Euro nothing useful. The market is quite empty at present. Was already ready to make an offer for a new one, but 130,000 Euro net are too expensive for me. rhalten: Scania R113 6×4, year 1996 with 750,000 KM on the speedometer. The vehicle has already many KM, but is first hand and makes a very well-kept impression. And the suitable trailer is still there for 5000. Since I have not had much experience with trucks so far, I would like to hear your opinion about it. I think the vehicle is older than what I originally wanted, but it will probably last 2, 3 years. Complicated is the fact that it is one of the last 3 models I guess it’s already a rather old box from driving behaviour and operation…. But I haven’t driven it yet and can’t say anything about it. Can’t estimate the repair risk either. What bothers me is that the next Scania workshop is 80 KM away. Alternatively, an Iveco Bj. 97, 400,000 KM for 27,000 euros. Advantage: Iveco workshop is only 5 KM. Otherwise I haven’t found anything reasonable yet. Need 6×4 or 6×6 with as much as possible 7 meters roll-off tipper. They are very thinly sewn. I am curious about your opinions. Thank you and many greetings Markus

  • Main-beam passenger cars

in Austria on the highway, the guide rails are replaced by concrete walls at all times, which may lead to increased safety in case of accidents, on the other hand, to a safety risk for the trucks and in further consequence also for the pkws on the opposite runway I drive only in the night and the most strenuous at this working time are blinding pkws, which either (because of the concrete walls) really do not see that I turn them on 10 times or more often with the light horn, or de if it just doesn’t matter if you blind someone, of course, you can now say that I should just get headlights, but every non-self-employed driver knows exactly that the fewest bosses pay I would just want more clarification from the authorities, car clubs or driving schools what experiences or inspirations do you have on this topic?

  • Car purchase Golf 4 or someone else ?

Evening, since I have lost the fun of the deeper car (Polo 6N) and the restricted ground clearance bothers me I want to buy a new car. Now I’m not sure what kind of thing it should be.. I drive very little, 60-80km/week, and sometimes long distance ~300km upwards at a time. Find a reliable, inexpensive (petrol consumption, rep. insurance/control) car. Tomorrow I look at a Golf 4 BJ 2000 with ~89tkm. Much more I don’t know yet Should ~4100e uro cost… I’m not sure if a Golf 4 is what I’m looking for, one reads and hears a lot of very common repertures. Can you suggest cars to me? Should be in the price range around 4000€. If no new big discussion about the Golf 4 can start now, there are already many but well. Mfg

  • Chassis and optics by Mini Clubman

Hello Minifriends! After 4 years Mini Cooper Hatch we have now bought a Clubman. I definitely can’t confirm that the “Gokart feeling” is unchanged. The driving behaviour was very sporty in the R50 in my opinion. You could almost race around the “corner” already. (with org. suspension without a sporty suspension tuning) That’s why we did not do it at the Cluman. – and now!? – looks stupid (also with 18″Cross Spoke) and doesn’t drive so great. Today he goes deeper to lay down. n to BMW with Eibachfeder 30/20mm. I hope that’s enough – I’ll tell you more.
