  • V50 – loud pipe from engine compartment (not oil trap, not LiMa)

Hello Elcher! I’ve been having the following problem for a few months:http://sdrv.ms/Teuyy7 (If Firefox complains about Silverlight trying with Chrome) It’s not the oil trap (crankshaft housing) that was done last year. The LiMa was changed only 2 weeks ago, it can’t be. The timing belt was also made in the same train, including all belts, rollers, tensioners, pumps etc. Everything original at Volvo just. Since the fun last cost me a lot of money ha t, and the Volvo-Monteur meant this is the Lima that is working now, because the battery may not be fully charged, it stirs me up more and more every day… Can you guess from a distance what that could be?? Thank you for all relevant notes Edit: Oh yes, it’s a V50 T5 BJ 2005

  • Volvo V50 speed fluctuates with acceleration

Hello municipality, I have the following problem with my Volvo v50: We bought it a few days ago, since everything was still in order admittedly not the most beautiful but no error messages or similar. When we drove it back, we noticed when speeding up the speed fluctuates upwards without the car speeding up great. And once we completely accelerated it, above 4500 revolutions per minute nothing went like a power drop. But if the speed went up to the limiter. Does any of you have any idea what it might be? I read what about a broken clutch or brake fluid or back bearing? I’m still young and it’s hard to have a clutch replaced like this:/ Thanks in advance! ??? Pair of key data: Volvo v50 2.5 t5 2006 BJ 198000 kmh 220 hp manual transmission

  • DPF regenerates very often, error 2458

I need your help or tips again. It’s about my V50, 1.6D, year 2008, about 148.000 km. Recently I notice that it often regenerates. Often it means almost every 100 km and less. It jerks then and takes off badly gas. When reading with Torque the error is 2458, particles filter regeneration too long. When I notice this, I always drive until the “intake” temperature has dropped to about 40 degrees, at the same time the current consumption falls. I’m happy. He easily creates 190 km/h and has a consumption of about 7.5 / 5.5 liters (city / highway or overland). The Volvo gets all the maintenance at Volvo, the particulate filter has been in it since about 40,000 – also built in by Volvo. Now my question – why does it regenerate so often? Can I influence that? I usually drive city, usually at least 15 km. I am grateful for your tips. Greeting newbieneu PS – Can I drive on like this?

  • Troubleshooting Ignition electrics – Specialists asked!

Hello together, I’m looking for possible solutions for a problem with one of our two Volvo 850 … vehicle: Volvo 850 LW (comb) 2.5 l, 140 kW, key number 9101 / 495 Bj 1994 Symptom: engine runs from start round, turns easily high at the beginning. After about 20 min. it “swallows” itself while gas. Critical speed range: approx. 1600 – 1800 rpm. Above it runs round, below it also, only the gas giving causes dropouts, especially on the mountain, so under load, or at fast durc The drop-outs become more and more frequent / heavier and it finally goes out with the gas, then does not start any more. After about 60 minutes it starts again than its NOTHING was… runs well-tempered in the stand and turns again high… until after some time, so again after 20 to 40 minutes everything reoccurs again. Suspect: error in the ignition electric. Diagnosis of the workshop: ignition coil is through. Thermal expansion, thus possibly mass closure or reduced conductivity. Recommendation of the workshop: Change ignition coil. Action: New ignition coil of PolarParts installed. Ignition cable coil>Distributor also renewed. The gas acceptance now feels “agile” but the swallowing and the described symptoms are still there. Other: vehicle was completely overhauled 3 months ago, new HU, engine-side work: valve shaft seals new, timing belts, water pump, oil trap new, camshaft sensor cleaned, candles new, distributor un d Finger new, ignition cable distributor>Cancel new. What to do? What to do as a source of error? Exchange ECU? I am grateful for ideas and tips!

  • Shortly before ordering an XC90 …. Tips for me?

Dear people, after a long time of planning and testing and listening to me and what you do before ordering a car, I decided (with strong applause from the V90-driving OHL) for the XC90. I am now just before ordering as follows: XC90 EDITION D5 AWD GT silver, anthracite, aluminum Extras: Climate-package alarm system CD-changer Bi-Xenon me dynamic cornering light passenger seat electrically adjustable speed-dependent power steering IR-re In the end, I decided to use the EDITION package, although there are a lot of things that I don’t value (rain sensor, internal mirror automatically shielding off, loading space roller, mounting system, headphone connections, 18″). However, a correspondingly equipped KINETIC would have been more expensive …. What does the experienced Volvo community say about my choice? NK!! So long

  • Phaeton 3.2 FSI when accelerating trembling

Greetings My 3.2 fsi (front) 5 gear tiptronic has the following problem It’s not always; mostly rather sporadically. If I give gas (also mostly with medium to strong gas) I notice how there is a trembling at the front in the acceleration. My 5 gear tiptronic has already got a new converter before 70k km. I have changed gear oil fresh incl. flushing, so transmission would exclude, it also switches absolutely clean. What else could it be? Drive shafts I have checked If you have any ideas or experiences, it is also difficult to describe it, it is a mixture of stuttering and tumbling. I have a gas system, but this is both in gas operation and gasoline. So the gas system should not be the problem either. When reading out, nothing came out especially now, only level sensor at the front obviously defective. One thing I have to say also bothers me, when I give gas I hear always what howl, but only give at the gas (whether much or little) and when he rolls cars it is gone. Wheel bearings?

  • V70 – Experience with Wrkstatt

Hello together, had said some time ago that I would give feedback about the workshop visit and the little woeWhchen which the V70 had: 1) Metallic rattles below the vehicle at 2000 tours in the 3rd gear: Someone had suspected here that it could be a loose tin from the cat and so it was also according to friendly. Only unfortunately he could not permanently turn it off. 1-2 days went well and now it rattles again 2) Very sporadic but very annoying Qu Itching on the A-pillar on the driver’s side: According to the friendly, nothing found even though everything around the A-pillar is disassembled and reassembled. Result: squeaking again appeared on BUT much quieter. 3) Ventilation nozzles in the center console, both controllers to 20 degrees, left nozzle = warm air, right nozzle = cold air: According to the friendly known and to fix by software update. Software was replayed according to the friendly and climate system “adjusted” BUT … this morning at 12 degrees outside temperature … warm on the left, cold on the right! Pustic cake ! Furthermore, I could observe the following: If I set the right temp control to maximum temp and then turn the blower up fully, after a few seconds GAR NO AIR comes more from both middle nozzles !?!?!? 4) The worst thing in my opinion, however, is that since the car is back from the friendly one, one thinks that the car suddenly has trecker tires on it, so loud are the driving noises. but it doesn’t grind anything on the tires, that’s what I’m ready to look at, the air pressure is also OK. What can that be? Did they forget their tools in my wheel cat or what? Could it also grind on the drive axle? Does anyone have an idea? 5) The tank cover 10min theme: I was quite happy when my friend said that he had a good idea? 5) The tank cover 10min theme: I was very happy as my friend said that he this software setting would make it free of charge and would set the value to 0 (for tank lids at central locking immediately). So I was all the more disappointed two days later when I picked up the car again, that unfortunately this would not work with my V70 BJ 05.02, the car was too old. At least I have to go back 100 km to the friendly and 100 km. Not that the fuel would be too bad for me but there I am again hours on the road … Finally the visit has It’s really frustrating … to say something better or brokenly repaired … The positive, however, at the end: The friendly person has listened to everything patiently and, was (as the name already says) really very friendly and also gave me a free rental car, (V50) what my local TO NOW NEVER did, so I knew so far only from my Nissan dealer . Greeting Jan

  • Questions of a c30 newcomer

Hi, recently I am proud owner of a Volvo C30 D2 Bj 2012 with about 60000 km, and I love the car now However, I have a few questions about it, maybe one or the other one knows something about it So first of all to drive: If I have the Volvo standing in idle, you notice a quite vibration, especially on the steering wheel, is that normal? Not that it would bother me a lot, but I just want to know if everything is okay. Then I have to resist Is it true that from the D2 the fiter no longer has to be changed at 120000 km and that you no longer need an additive? at Pre-Facelift 1.6 D it was apparently so What would answer the second question would be a maintenance plan for the C30 D2, I wrote Volvo already an e-mail, but didn’t hear from them anymore. If someone has such a maintenance plan it would be really cool if the one could send it to me !

  • Cracking in the closed top of the C70 II

Hello to each other, I have grown with the C70 a beautiful convertible that fulfills my expectations in all matters. Unfortunately cloudy crackling noises of the cover the full driving pleasure. In the workshop, however, the roof was readjusted only with moderate success. Does any of you have advice for me ? Many greet from holders at the lake Ralf

  • Four-C shock absorber replacement sought

In my XC70 (2012) the Four-C shock absorber has recently passed away. (Four-C maintenance required). In the workshop it was found that the integrated solenoid valve in the right damper is broken. The replacement of both shock absorbers on the front axle is necessary. The cost only for the dampers would amount to approximately 1500 euros – therefore I would like to find out if there is more favorable replacement in the free market. The OEM manufacturer of dampers is Monroe – an accurate product The friend can’t help me here because he only installs original parts. Does anyone have a plan here?
