Hello I am currently driving an S4 4.2L and am thinking of buying a used Porsche. Reason: in the S4 I don’t notice anything about the speed, you have to look at the tacho to see how fast you are on the road. Is unfortunately not a “driving machine”, but a comfortable long-distance combi. Is the 911 also so “softly flushed”? Type selection: 993: is partly more expensive than a 996 and older than 10 years, but air-cooled. I like the look in principle, but yesterday I saw a 997S from a friend and in comparison the 993 looks “oldbacken”. 996: there are a lot of used ones, but with many offers there is “new engine” with… do the 996s have a problem so that the engine damage is quite frequent? Also I am not sure about the optics, tw. I find the 993er better, than any optical parts are installed in the 996er. 997: does not work out with my budget (unfortunately, unfortunately) conclusion and question: what do I have to pay attention to the 996?

Is the new Civic safe?
The following link:http://www.euroncap.com/…/Honda%20Civic%20datasheet.pdf I also ordered a box like this and I’m hard to think about undoing the purchase. For a newly developed car, this is simply a disaster. However, I had almost feared this in view of the cab forward design. When using this space, the crutch zone is apparently slightly narrowly dimensioned. If you compare the test with the golf and also other compact German provenance, you come to the conclusion that Honda still has to catch up here. No Honda in the 5 stars. Ok, the other models are already older, but that the Civic 2006 shows no improvements to the predecessor is a shame!

TÜV what should I do now????
It’s too puke… so I was running with the moose to the Tüv first quite well AU passed, brake super ect., then small break-in standlight broken, wiping water at the back doesn’t work. I was already looking forward to the new plaque. Then, the car was just on the pit, a call from below: “Ey, colleague look ma” Then two ingenors from below with the screw pulling on crumbling. Rust rushed audible and my hopes shrouded. Conclusion: In the rear area “Frame/bearing parts corrision damage with considerable weakening back li/re in the area of the AHK” according to report. Super! I to home, box bucked up and everything taken apart. What should I say now? rust but only the bumper holders! (see picture). The rest in the rear almost stainless and far from being rusted out. Calling the parts ordered with the comment: That’s not a carrying part! So what should I do now? Can I somehow get the gentlemen to pay for a cross?

V70 1 / Lamda probe / gas operation
Hello together, the following problem / the following question: My V70 1 (year of construction 99. 205000 km) has been running in gas operation for some time and the engine control light is also on. The car goes off when switching down, or has rotational fluctuations… In the workshop I was told that the lamda probe was defective. 1. Question: In petrol operation I did not have these problems ? Shouldn’t there be similar problems in benzinbetrieb?? The good master has fitted me a new one, which however did not bring any improvement.. He said to me that he possibly got a wrong one and has to get another one in there… What do you think about it? what can I do ?? Greeting

Are Monroe Ride Lever an alternative to nivomates?
Hello forum. Since the nice uncle of the DEKRA has denied me the seal for the next two years due to a leaky nivomate on the HA, I am looking for a more cost-effective alternative to the series Nivomats of my 850 station wagon. Unfortunately, the OEM market no longer offers identical dampers. And in the bay only scrap-ready models are crawling around. After about 35 phone calls with the car recyclers in my region I came across the Ride Lever from Monroe. Has someone here already had experience with these dampers and can kindly give me information? Do they fit easily into the photos and what is to be taken into consideration when installing them? Do you have to pump them up for load operation or do this automatically? For a help I would like to thank you in advance.

RX8 suspension simply not for 4 occupants!!??
About a week ago we were with 4 adults in an RX8. One might notice nothing big. Logically the car is now a bit heavy etc. But at not even 50 km/h we came to a small threshold which was hardly visible whereby the ground of the RX8 banged loudly against the asphalt…. What could that be???? Is the chassis simply not designed for such a weight or the car just basically crappy????

BB3 water pump leaks – what to do?
Hello everyone, during yesterday’s oil change I discovered a leak in the cooling system. But this only occurs during running engine, so I could never see a wet spot on the road. The leak is at the water pump, which is driven by the timing belt – right? From a small hole between the water pump and timing belt drive comes a small “cool water – rhinestones”. Now to my questions: 1. Is the cause of this leak a def. sealing ring at the water pump? 2. I get the water pump out without expanding the timing belt (so just relax belts and the pump by the belt somehow?) 3. Do I need a completely new water pump (Ebay 43,44)? Or is the change of the sealing ring in the pump rich?

What’s special about the 2.2 VTEC engine
Hey guys I have a question about you and I think I’m right here. I’m looking for a sporty coupe at the moment and am very excited about the price performance ratio of the Honda Prelude Bj.98 2.2 VTEC with 185 ps only want to know what’s special about the engine that is going around the top so good when the VTEC is used but what exactly is that because with Honda I haven’t really occupied myself the last time and I have no idea about the Honda engines in general so it would be nice if you would help me a little bit because of the lifespan, load capacity and maintenance and what comes up with you so much So hope for an answer MFG: QUATTRO1993
