  • Spelling in matters that, and that

Hello, I think, by now about 95% of all users here need a refresher in the spelling material 1. Class primary school: “That” is not the same as “that”. The word “that” used to be “that” and has a vaguely different meaning than “that”. I have been reading almost exclusively stuff lately, in which practically no “ß” or two small ss occurs anymore or the two small s are used wrongly. At some point, it is hugely annoying if you just have to read: “.. .that’s how it is, I said yes…” “that’s awesome…” etc. If virtually every adult person doesn’t check the new spelling or has a fault in his finger and can’t press a letter twice in a row, how about just unpacking the good old “ß” again? Always better and more understandable than this invasion of the incomprehensible letters.

  • Transit Euroline purchase advice

Hi, I plan to purchase a transit Euroline or a VW Multivan in the next six months (or even a little later). In this forum I have read several articles about rust problems during transit. Is this also true for newer years of construction, from 2002 until today????? If I buy one of the two cars, I intend to drive it until it falls apart. And this should not be the case so quickly, with such an investment. P.S. I’m driving a Ford Focus year 2001 with the 1.8 Tddi Moror with 90 hp and I’m super satisfied with the car. It’s only slowly becoming too small. Before the Focus I had an escort and before that a Sierra. I’ve never had any problems with rust at all and was also happy with my plum cars 🙂

  • Replacement of additional heating in the rear with Eberspächer air heater

Hello all together, has one of you ever replaced the additional heating in a Euroliner (current series), the additional heating is in the rear, with a Eberspächer air heater Airtronic D4 (Standheizung)? In the option list also a Eberspächer air heater is provided for the additional heating. My Ford dealer he used about 6h for it => 400€ for the assembly. I would like to save the money and install it myself. But otherwise there is no room in the bussle for a s Is the additional heating, do I have to throw out the additional heating?

  • Diesel consumption at Euroline

Hello guys, I’ve had a brand new Euroliner with 92 kw for 2 months and so far I’ve driven almost 2000 km. The diesel consumption so far was about 10,3l/100 km. It’s at least miles away from the declared value of just under 8 litres. The workshop informed me that the engine was not really free until about 5000 km. I would like to call my driving method an average. It can’t be that the consumption is a good 2.5 liters above the specified value. What are your experiences? Before I had a Euroline Bj. 99 and this one needed less. Greetings aljulu

  • Ranger XLT 5-speed, clutch(?) clapping

I drive a Ford-Ranger XLT with manual transmission here in the Philippines, i.e. the version identical to the Mazda-B. In idle and decoupled condition, I have a loud flap-rear, which reminds me of the flapping of wrongly set valves. If I step the clutch, the noise is almost gone. I can usually step the clutch several times and at some point after the repeated re-coupling the roughness is gone. achen, however, I have the problem that at higher speeds (from about 2700 revolutions) there are strong vibrations from the engine/gear range, so I can hardly drive faster than 90 kmh because of fear of consequential damage. At 90 mmh this sounds as if I had forgotten to switch and would still drive in the second gear. Any idea? Clutch, Ausruecklager …. If outreach bearings, how can I change the Ausruecklager? Do I have to expand the gear, The car has now run 80,000 km, has been in my possession for a year and so far did not cause any problems on a leaky clutch hydraulics. In particular, it does not consume oil and starts very well. The ‘friendly’ is very friendly, but has no idea what that could be. But the ‘zero clue’ does not say anything, that is the standard with Filipinos to which it should be desired. I thank you in advance. Guenther Davao Ci ty, Philippines, Planet Earth, 33.9 °C

  • Retrofitting of side position lamps at the 9-5er

Dear community of the faithful Saab drivers! I recently saw a diplomatic vehicle Saab 9-5 in our city center, where the lateral position lights were equipped. That looked fantastic – reminiscent of the white stand lights under the flash lights at the good old 900 / 9000. Unfortunately I did not see whether the rear side lights were additionally equipped, but if I look at my rear lights, there is also room for additional light bulbs at the sides. My question: Do you know if these lights can be retrofitted, what the corresponding parts are called (where I get them) and what they cost about? Perhaps someone also has a hint to retrofit themselves? I would be grateful for every answer and vebreibbe with a friendly Hejda! Your Daniel

  • Tips and tricks for the SL R230

Since there are no FAQs here yet, I’ll start with: ————————————————————————————————————————NTG 2.5 Avoid Comand problems with SDHC memory cards Detection and navigation updates. To do so, let Comand Software update at MB. —————————————————————————————————————————————Transfer address data from mobile phone to NTG 2.5 Comand. In order to do this, all contacts must be present as a .vcf file (e.g. by exporting Outlook). Copy the .vcf files into the main directory of the SDHC card and plug them into the comand. In the phone/address book area, there is an option to import address data from the SDHC card. ——————————————————————————————————————————– ——-4GB Use music memory on the NTG 2.5 Comand hard drive (Music Register). Here you can copy music from the changer or SDHC card. As copying takes quite a long time depending on the amount, copying should take place in smaller blocks (10 CD’s) in order to avoid a stop after the end of the journey. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————- In the absence of a hinge, the tip of the rear lid is used as a sliding surface. For a short period of time, the lid scrapes over a sliding knob on the right and left sides of the rear. A rubber sticker is mounted on the rear lid as a sliding surface (Stand MJ 2010), which is worn after a short time and thus the sliding knob massages (or even the fastening screw in the case of a worn sliding knob) into the aluminium of the rear lid. M B is well known for this problem, because there are now hard plastic sliding rails for the rear lid. So: remove rubber stickers, prime damaged areas on the rear lid with paint pin and paint. Glue sliding rails, mount new sliding knobs. ————————————————————————————————————————cratzer on top MoPf stainless steel entry bar. To avoid the unavoidable scratches on the stainless steel strip not me To see you, you can replace these with the pre-MoPf plastic strip. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————–KlappOhren on the rear cover do not completely fold a Here the Bowdenzug – racks mechanics have been too weakly designed and was replaced by a reinforced part. ———————————————————————————————————————-

  • When garaging in winter, put off BATTERIES or not?

Wants to cook my R230 over the winter(5 months). Would you like to ask for help. Knock off batteries or not???

  • Transmission emergency running program out of the blue R129 SL500 BJ 97

Hello together, now at the beginning of the season I got above all SL out of the garage. Season marking 4-11, wintered in underground garage. Car starts with half full battery. I drive closed into the sunshine and drive the car warm to open the cover at the next parking lot. Everything normal. The gearbox switches soft and normal high. Then stopped I opened the cover with running engine and gear position P. Everything worked wonderfully. I set on R (it jerked merkl I), park off, switch to D (it jerked noticeably) and drive off. Only the gearbox doesn’t turn up anymore! What the hell is there??? Well, it will be the emergency program! Had I been to transmission service before last year. There I read out the fault memory and had transmission flushing done. There were 2 errors stored. 1x something like torque monitoring addressed and another. Everything got back. Then everything went butter-soft! Now my Fra ge: What happened to jump out of the blue into the supposed emergency program? What can I do? Can I delete the error memory without the appropriate equipment? Oh yes, maybe this is the reason: the battery was 2x flat over winter. I got it only half full at 48h! Greeting Klaus
