  • Which car for 6 months and 20,000 km?

Dear community, I ask you for help, since I need a mobile kit in a short time now and have no idea of cars. On 1.3 my internship starts and there is only one solution to commute with the car. At the moment I am still in my studies, which is why my budget is very limited. Maximum is 1,300€. The car should last at least for a period of 6 months. I have to travel about 3,000 km per month (in the weekdays about 150 km daily). n Opel Corsa 1.2 C (Bj. 2001, 166,000 km down, 55kW/75hp, from dealer, 1,300€) went to the test, but I am not quite convinced whether this is the right solution. What is your opinion? I would be very happy about a few answers!

  • Kubica has a big problem : Heidfeld

Did you notice that Nick is starting to dominate the Kubica? I think that Kubica is quite obvious, that he was better in the first races than Heidfeld – but that was due to the fact that he was just lucky in qualifying, the car came to him from the driving style – and Heidfeld had problems. Now that Heidfeld finally gets the car to move properly in the quali and get the tyres to temperature you can already see how Heidfeld starts driving the Kubica up and off. What do you think – how long will Kubica stay with BMW? I say, longer than until the end of the season you don’t stop him – the man just has no potential anymore, is too old etc. Someone like that won’t ever be at all – there he sits in a top car and then he messes up the races so… The best example was the Silverstone GP – just like Nick dominated the Kubica … I’m curious about your answers!

  • Slashes for Massa and Kimi?

Quote: Alarm at Ferrari: The Scuderia would love to forget the Grand Prix of Hungary as soon as possible. After the disappointing race of Kimi Räikkönen (only third place behind Toyota man Timo Glock) and the motor-placer of Felipe Massa the Reds pull the emergency brake. All-purpose weapon Michael Schumacher has to hold up once again. The seven-time world champion is to stop the free fall of Ferrari. After the miserable performance in Budapest, the team demanded the Formula 1 R Schumacher is expected to be back in the cockpit in the next test drives in Monza (27-29 August). Ferrari is still in first place in the Costructeurs World Championship, in the driver’s classification Lewis Hamilton (62) already has 5 or 8 points advantage on Räikkönen and Massa. At the season half-time all three drivers with 48 points were still up. Now Schumi’s experience has to hold out again. For me already a slap for d he two regular pilots. looks indirectly as if the two are more than unable to develop the car further. In this way Ferrari should not necessarily raise the morale of the two… your opinions?

  • Grand Prix of Germany / Hockenheim 08

Hello dear motorsport friends, a bit late but here again the thread to the current Grand Prix: Grand Prix of Germany / Hockenheim Facts Name Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg Length 4,574 meters Rounds 67 Distance 306,458 km Local time CEST Start 14:00 o’clock CEST Data Portrait The original track in Hockenheim was founded in 1932 as a twelve kilometer long triangular course.Over the years there have been modifications, especially due to the construction of the nearby Autob The new Hockenheimring was opened on 22 May 1966 and was an absolute high-speed track with a length of 6,789 kilometres through the Hartwald, even though Jim Clark was fatally injured on one of the straights in a Formula 2 race. The first Formula 1 Grand Prix in Hockenheim was held in 1970. When the Nürburgring had to be removed from the calendar for safety reasons after Niki Lauda’s fire accident in 1976, the AvD jumped permanently from 1977 onwards. with the exception of 1985, when the Grand Prix circuit at the Nürburgring was run once more on the newly opened Grand Prix circuit. In 2002 there was another major conversion, because the long straights and the long track length were no longer considered to be contemporary – for safety and commercial reasons. The capacity of the spectators was increased from 83,000 to 120,000 places. In its new version, the model developed by Hermann Tilke counts Hockenheimring to the most modern race tracks in the world. However, the conversions, which cost more than 60 million euros, and the declining interest of German motorsport fans led to the Hockenheimring not being able to afford an annual alignment of the Formula 1 race. Thus, with the Nürburgring, which is also in a similar situation, it was agreed that the Deutschland-Grand-Prix will be held alternately starting in 2007. • Formula 1 Brakes

Hello, after you helped me with my last question so good and friendly (thanks again to everyone!!!), I am so free and want to know something again: This time it’s about braking in Formula 1: I would have liked the following questions: 1. Is 2008 still the adjustment possibility of the brake balance allowed by the pilot via (turn) lever in the cockpit? Found this at the FIA (formula 1 rules): 11.1.3 “Any powered device which is capable of altering the configuration or affecting the performance Does this mean that no more brake balance adjustment is allowed? 2. How is a Formula 1 brake designed exactly? (that the discs and pads are made of carbon, I think to know)? 3. What does braking actually do in an F1 car? The driver pushes to the pedal with about 120 kg…and then? I’m always grateful for every input.

  • F1 engine crankshaft

Hello! Have a question to the technology experts: A few years ago, when the cylinder number was limited from 10 to 8, an F1 engine developer in the MSA reported that there were problems with the now stronger engine vibrations. I conclude that 180° cranked waves (flat plane) were used, which cause very strong mass forces 2nd order. Because waves with 90° potting (cross plane) have a significantly better mass balance (no free forces 1st and 2nd order, very low moments by conrod width), I wonder why this design was not used. Can someone please tell me something!? Greeting Sven

  • Ideal Line vs. Battle Line

Hello, I hope you can help me. I’m basically concerned with the difference between the ideal line and the battle line in a Formula 1 race… The following questions would be interesting: How / when /where do I brake a curve / curve combination if I want to drive it through ideal or battle? (e.g. corner outside vs. curves) What are the fundamental differences? (e.g. brake at the ideal line earlier?) What do I have to pay attention to? (ideal line) vs. battle line eight) Inflection points? The whole thing could be fixed to a “normal F1” curve and a kuvrencombinant (such as the one immediately after start/goal in Sepang)) Can you help me there or do you know where to find something? Thank you in advance

  • Fix matt lacquer?

I’m buying an 8-piece convertible in the BMW Individual Lack Frozen Pure Grey Metalic. Unfortunately, the vehicle offered has a few stone strokes in the front area. It’s comparatively small places, but I wonder if you can cure these kinds of spots with a kind of smart repair? (NB: I don’t understand why such vehicles don’t protect from such flaws ex works with a protective foil. If I really buy the vehicle, then I’m going to buy this car. who has experience with this, or other comparable matt-lacquers?

  • benzinhahn wrong

Hello, since I’m now running at the CPi Aragon Gp 50 I’m already facing the first problem.. The petrol tap is for 4strokes and not for my 2strokes, right?
