  • Mirror housing dropped by wind ?

Hello , when I went to my Seat Leon today lay my mirror housing driver side next to my car. The mirrors had not been folded.Today it is also quite windy outside with us, so it can be that the housing has made itself thereby “loose” or must I rather expect that someone might have to tear them down willingly ? At the car is nothing to see, Blinker also works mirror housing lying on the road has some scratches now and is fortunately also not a uf the road rolled.. means I could mount again. Has anyone ever had such a similar case ? Am somehow confused

  • Buy Seat Leon / Inspections

Hello together, we have decided to buy a Seat Leon 1.8 TSI + DSG. But are we not yet sure whether day registration (20 km) or a used car (1J / 25,000 km). The price difference makes around 3,000 EURO with comparable equipment. Here we are torn back and forth what is better. On the one hand, 3,000 EURO is a lot of money, on the other hand you know with the quasi new car also really that it was not abused before. What do you think about it? What we definitely want to do is extend the connection guarantee at Seat to 5 J (unfortunately later and therefore a little expensive, but ok). A question that asks us, which inspections expect us in the near future with the two variants. On the Internet I researched the first inspection at 30,000 km, but also read in forums that after 1,000 km an oil change is required. S The dealer offers us the first inspection at 30,000 km for 550 EUR, I assume that this is a bad offer or not? Thank you for your assessments.

  • No oil specification Petrol manual from 2018

Hello, My Leon has to go to the first service after 2 years including oil change. It is built in 4/2018. I wanted to switch to fixed intervals and drive 5w40 oil. In my manual (11/2017) there is the standard 50400 at a fixed interval which is but 5w30. The standard 50200 does not exist which contains the 5w40 oils. In the manual 11/2016 it is still in it. And in the manual 7/2018 and later there is nothing more for petrolers. Have they forgotten this? So according to my manual ic h then no 5w40 drive with 50200 standard. Thought that always works. What do you say about it? Ask dealers?

  • V8, but which car?

Hello people, I am looking for competent advice for my vehicle search. I have been driving a BMW e39 530iA Limo for 7 years, and am still very satisfied with this reliable car. I have to make inspection and service, and also buy only good brand tyres. I pay TK at approx. 35% 800€ in the year and 200€ tax. the fuel consumption is 8.5 to 13 liters in average. I drive approx. 6000-7000km in the year, 70% overland 10% BAB and 20% city. now I have much about various V8 read through and found that a V8 would only be slightly more, or even the same, if not less would cost in maintenance, and the sprite consumption would have to be as much as I need for my 3.0L row-sewer. for the following cars : Ford Mustang GT 4.6 V8 S197 305PS ( 05-09 ) Mercedes CLK 500 ( 300 or fl 388 hp ) ( 03-09 ) BMW e60 Limo 540,54550 BMW e63 coupe 645,650 these are the cars that would come into my narrow selection criterion. e car data, fl, vfl, ect pp and the engines informed. driven of it I am the Mustang GT and found him very horny, bit on the chassis, and a SL 500, from sounding great but you notice him the 2T empty weight already. now I want to ask which car you would decide for, and why ? and if you have experienced with one of the vehicles, would also interest me the maintenance as the weak points. I want to spend up to 1500€ and bit about 150,000km I don’t care if 4.0 ,4,4 or 5.0 ,5 liters of space ,300ps are enough for me too. so I would be grateful for any advice

  • Buying an annual car with repaired sheet metal damage?

Hello together! I’m considering buying a VW Touran (built in 2013) from a VW dealer. The car had a sheet metal damage that was repaired by a VW workshop. Affected were tailgate, rear side and rear door. The parts were not replaced but repaired. Do I have to pay attention to something when buying? Can these parts rust faster or is it not to be expected if the repair was carried out professionally? Thank you for your assessment!

  • [Purchasing advice] City flicker for 800€

Hello everyone! Since I want to say goodbye so slowly to my faithful old Golf 4, I am currently looking for a new car. In the meantime I moved from the country to the city and am also mainly there, with occasional highway rides to my parents or at festivals my annual driving performance should amount to 10,000 to 15,000km (way to work/university is daily a distance of 2x5km). According to my previous research it should be I don’t know if I take a diesel or a petrol engine (if necessary I’ll have a better one). The age of the car does not exceed every 7 to 8 years and the budget, as mentioned in the title, is 800€. The car should not be all too big – by no means a station wagon! Four to five seats are mandatory, with the doors I agree with three. Storage space should also be available, as I mentioned in the beginning, in the summer the one or the other The design itself should be sporty, modern and youthful – with my 20 years I don’t want to drive an old C-Class Since I’m also on the highway from time to time, the car should also have a few PS more, in order to be able to let the sow out – so at least around the 100hp, very gladly also a little more (i.e. The last criterion that I could think of now: no BMW, no Frenchman (I didn’t have a good experience with the Twingo from my mother in terms of quality). So far I liked the current Ford Fiesta, the Honda Civic, the Fiat Grande Punto, the Opel Corsa / Astra and the Hyundai i30. Here my somewhat unstructured requirements summarized again: Budget: up to 800€ Annual driving performance: 10 to 15 thousand km Age: max 7 to 8 years – no combination – 4 to 5 seats – storage space for 2 to 3 people + luggage – air conditioning and common safety features – 100 hp or more – no BMW, no French I’m looking forward to your suggestions!

  • The spoils of choice

Hello, I mentioned weeks ago that I wanted to repaint my competition. The vehicle was re-primanded and filled……… Now only the question arises: What color would you take?? I tend to LZ9U volcano black pearl or the blue from the RS as it was before.

  • Minimise tyre noise

Hello. Ever since then, tire noises have bothered me. Depending on the type of vehicle and its insulation, sometimes more, sometimes less. If I have a new car, I buy new tyres directly. Always the ones with the lowest dB load. The “BOAHR GEIL” effect usually remains out. It’s just nuances. One could also say imagining. With cars that I like otherwise, I’ll reshuffle. How? With bitumen or alubutyl in the wheel boxes. Effect? Is there, but moderate. And is not in proportion to the effort. I don’t know any insulation methods. I’m watching the tire development. Conti has something. Calls itself “ContiSilent”. They promise: “The most beautiful thing about driving: nothing about it.” Sounds good.https://blobs.continental-tires.com/…/…isilent-download-1-data.pdfThe bad thing: there’s no such thing for normal tire sizes. Only in 21 inches. The good thing: More than a layer of polyurethane foam that is glued into the tires is not that. The idea: get this foam (there is, you have to vote), i I don’t ask the question about experience reports. I’m definitely the only freak.=> Answers if my idea has a catch, would interest me against it. I thank you, I’m very much in love with you.
