  • Harmful wax in the car wash for convertible roof?

Hello all on the other hand yesterday I had a dispute regarding convertible fabric roof and car wash systems. One said: can you drive quietly into the washing machine, but always without wax, because the wax harms the fabric roof. The other said: car wash system without wax does not work at all, because they always put wax in when washing, otherwise they do not get the car dry at all. AND: The wax does not harm (maybe it is also little useful and certainly no substitute for impregnation). Your opinion? Greetings from Frankfurt Jürgen

  • GSF 600 S from 2004 – Umfaller on left side – Blinker broken what to do?

Hello guys, unfortunately my Möppi fell over to the left side last week. Both turn signals and the clutch lever broke. I changed the clutch lever successfully, however, I have my difficulties with the turn signals. I got mini turn signals and the corresponding covers from one of the three big dealers, which is located in my place of residence. However, the latter do not fit, although this is on the packaging. Furthermore, I have my attempts, the V to remove clothing found that they were not only fixed with screws but also with plastic plugs (klips) and that some disguise clips were missing, even in places that were not affected by falling over (e.g. back right). I then interrupted the attempts to disassemble and assemble the turn signals. Didn’t want to destroy the existing clip. Now to my questions: Can you remove the clip without any interference? If no, you can remove them at the dealer o who buy from one of the three big ones? If it is not possible, did you fix the panel completely with screws? If you have provided your motorcycles with other (not original) indicators, how did you establish the connection between the Bordelectrik and the turn signals? I haven’t had the motorcycle for long and not much screwdriver experience yet. Thanks already for the help. Markus

  • Bandit 600 Bj. 99 does not start

Hello, it’s about my possible future baby. Brief history: MOtorrad went out again and again during the ride. In the workshop it was called tank full of rust and carburettor accordingly. Have let the tank rust and let the carburettor clean. After that it ran about 1 month. Now current status: motorcycle doesn’t even start any more. Complete battery charge consumed. of course I looked a little for what it might be. -Zündkerzen are dry -from all 4 swims I have a few questions now, since I don’t know about carburettor engines (always only had injections) 1. What could this be that the gasoline from the one carburettor is black? 2. If I put the gas tap on ON, and leave the drain screw of the float chamber open, the fuel would flow right through and down again. Can it be that the tank or possibly the petrol tap has not been cleaned properly and yet has led to the residual of rust or other contamination that the carburetors could be clogged? Sorry for the perhaps ridiculous sounding questions on my part, but I know myself with the matter (gassing) NULL from Thank you for your help and understanding. MfG David

  • May a swinger hang freely during transport

Hello, do spring legs have such a stable stop that you can let the rear wheel hang freely during the trailer transport? Background: I plan a very short unbraked trailer, similar to the short hangers, which are offered especially for WoMos. The loading area is only about 70cm long. Can a motorcycle, in my case the 125 VanVan, with clamped front wheel and under the engine be mounted and freely hanging rear wheel long distances be transported, or do not make the spring legs with. The jacking is only intended for parking without the vibrations/slips during transport with a hard-springed trailer. Greetings Thorsten

  • The Thought Experiment, Fathers and Motorcycle

I made my motorcycle driver’s license quite late. I have experienced and seen many accidents during these 2 years. I was really scared about the largely too fast driving style of my acquaintances, that I come to ponder now. My children are now only about 1 and 3 years old and I want to stay with you for a long time. I am also currently extremely important the development of my children and I want to absorb every free moment together with you. For me personally, the fun with the family is in the foreground, I have a bad conscience against my children on every tour. Accordingly, my motorcycle is currently more than it is moved. It is not good for working in the city either, because it is more like a 125 scooter. In my case, reason and passion collide with each other mentally. I am mentally quite torn back and forth here, whether it makes sense his hobby in d It’s time to let it rest and start again when it suits better. As so often I’m interested in experiences from similar situations. I’m going to put the Suzuki back in their garage soon, but I won’t sell it for the time being. Thank you for your attention.

  • Michelin Pilot Activ ?

Tach too.. Since the tyres of my XJ finally have to be new (especially on the outer edges they are down..) I am looking smartly and have so far gucked into above-mentioned Pneus. Usually more Bridgestone BT 45 is recommended but I read a lot about it, whose quality would have become worse. In addition, this is a development that exists since the end of the 80s… My driving requirement demands Allrounder because the motorcycle is driven as long as there is no ice and snow. with the pilots and which ones?

  • Stand-up bolts from 🙁

Moin together, Moped is Sportster 883 Hugger, built in 2000 Unfortunately, the standing bolt, which acts as a bracket from the front exhaust pan, is broken inside – could pull the bolt out after loosening the brake pedal forward. I haven’t opened up yet, since I don’t have a replacement bolt anyway. But if I look at the breakpoint (only to see max. 2 threaded passages) I fear that there is no “material” left for the case to grab the rest. The cleanest solution would then be to drill – cut left thread, turn hexagon screw in and out. A.) I have no threaded cutting kit and B.) I am not sure if the standing bolts are secured so firmly (glued) that this stub can then be loosened like this. Does someone have something better in it? e.g. leave stubs in it, from the inside through you sprocket cover a short screw through and done – just fix it on the inside then? ?Thank you very much for your suggestions Question 2: If I want to take down the pinion cover, separate brake pedal from the brake cylinder – unscrew the brake cylinder from the cover – unscrew the 3 fixing screws of the lid and then (completely with brake pedal and rest attachment?) take off. Or do I have to separate the brake cylinder from the brake line? @ KW: thank you in advance for pointing out a proper workshop manual. I know it is very useful, I know about my Honda – but: I still have none, maybe enough in this case also tips. Greetings Lone

  • Mini-Van SUPPORTED!

Good day, this is my first post here. I’m looking for a reliable minivan. Drive a Renault Megane Scenic of the first series, where I especially like the space available. What I don’t like is that I have to go to the workshop for a long time, because the brakes are constantly making specs. If it rains, the mill shows zero braking effect, the car is standing in the parking lot for two days without moving, the brakes are fixed on the disc. For weeks not driven, you have to worry if it still starts at all, the Brembeläge then grind when driving for the next 50 km. In the workshop you can find no significant defects: braking effect is normal, that with the fixed baking of the brakes as well, would also occur with other manufacturers, the battery shows great measured values. But I am annoying, so much that I am ready for the vehicle change. What I expect from the next: Modular space offer behind the first row of seats, seats foldable and removable, vehicle loading floor should then offer a level. Most important criterion for me, there must be two mountain bikes (with dismantled front wheels) standing upright after the length in it, if I just change or remove a rear seat. This solves the old megane playing, the newer ones unfortunately only with small bike sizes. So I am looking for something in similar size up to maximum VW Sharan or Ford Galaxy. Who knows each other from un d can give me recommendations, also knows which car types are without car repair? Thank you!

  • Solid car up to 500€

Moin moin, on the other hand, I’ve been driving a 15 year old VW Golf 4 with 75 hp for 3 years now. Now I’ve been thinking about buying a new car in the near future. Problem with this is that on the one hand I don’t have a lot of money available, on the other hand the price should be somewhere at 500€ and on the other hand I need a solid car, with which I can drive every day without any problems. Since my golf is very spartan, I would like to have the following extras: – Central locking – electr . Window lifter – air conditioning Besides, I would like to have a little bit more power, i.e. at least 100 HP it should be. Since I want to drive the car for a while, of course, he should not have too much down so best in the range of 100Tkm. Do you have any ideas? I thought about a Seat Ibiza, Leon, Skoda Fabia, VW Polo. What do you think would fit well for my requirements?
