  • Kat defective, price for repair ok?.

Hello, I had an oil change with oil sieve check done on my newly bought, used 9-5 combi. To remove the oil pan the cat had to be dismantled. It was found that this is defective, the inner life is literally crumbled. So I was allowed to fly into the bag today and put a good 2,000 euros for the exchange. Is this price justified? Original parts were installed, both Lambda probes are included in the price. Thanks for the help. Saab 9-5 Kombi, 2.0, Bj 12/00, just under 99,000km

  • 95 Kombi 18,5 l/ 100 Help!!!

Hello, I had about 2 weeks ago bought a Saab 2.0 Kombi Bj 4/2000 with 150 HP automatic. Immediately in love, but I was already stunned. I had already expected city consumption 15 liters. Drive only with the foot tip never over 2500 rpm. I have to say that I drive very short distances in the city. But now the hammer: first measurement 162 km fuelled 29.7 liters super 98 octan 🙁 . Is there perhaps something deffekt on the injection system. Have had recently made first ASU. the mechanic beamed when he the engine values saw, everything ok! Ask for your suggestions! What can I do? If this continues, I have to sell the car! Thank you!

  • Purchase advice up to 8500 Euro

Good morning dear minifriends , in the general purchase advice forum this subforum was recommended to me and now I have landed with you I am now 25 years old and therefore it will be time for the first own car in my opinion. Budget is up to 8500 euros, reserves would still be there, but I am looking for a reliable car with which I do not have to constantly go to the workshop. Is this realistic with a mini or should I change my mind oen? Originally my dream car was the BMW 1er hereof I had to now unfortunately because of all the steruer chains/coils/injectors – problems distance, I do not want to shovel me in young years no financial grave. What does this look like here with the Mini ? Similar problems ? I targeted the Cooper with 120 HP , built 2007 /2008 so the second generation with a maximum of 100 000 kilometers .Do you think I find something decent here for my budget ? Should I rather go to the One too I have a few offers, which you can possibly evaluate briefly if you can spend the time. • R53 JCW – 2 chain tensioners broken in a week

Moin! Last week I changed the chain tensioner because it was stuck in the “dead” position and created a terrifying rattle. Changed – rattles immediately away. Earlier I want to drive home from work, there is exactly the same noise again, from cold start to arrival. Cann’t it be that the part after a week and almost 300km already gives up the mind?! The oil level (Castrol 5w30) was and is ok, I control it right often. I can only explain it so that there must be another cause, why in such a short time two chain tensioners have broken – only which one?

  • 6 months R56 S – Conclusion

Good morning, I need your opinion, experience or advice… Since December 2014 I have been driving an R56 S, EZ May/2011. Purchased from BMW. My problems so far: 1. Clutch pedal knärzt if it is warmer only when tapping or on the first two centimeters pedal path. 2. Side disc / driver side / inside: constantly a lubricating film. 3. Circuit rather shaky, transition from 1 to 2 gear unclean, clutch point inappropriate. 4. Air conditioning is jamming up to approx. 80 km/h or when driving/besch 5. Cold start: car rattles and scrapes, i.e. whether a sheet metal would be loose or a can on the rear. You can hear clearly when the car is standing on a wall or driving through narrow streets. Statement BMW: 1. Car is in the 5th year of operation, analysis costs, an MC just makes noises and that just makes it. 2. Is on the sealing lips, no final solution possible. 3. Can one set nothing, because hydraulic. 4. possibly. lack of coolant, noise makes the fan, would be normal. 5. possibly chain tensioner or valve control. It greets an annoying S-driver…

  • JCW rear silencer for Countryman?

Hello together, I play with the idea to give my CM Cooper S a little more sound (… without exaggerating it though). Meanwhile, the rear silencer (model: 18302239423) by JCW is available for 470 €. Has someone already built this part and can tell about first experience? How elaborate is the installation, how does the exhaust sound (…very intrusive or still suitable for neighborly use?) It would also be interesting if a retrofit to the old system is possible, if it is possible. too loud (…a customer can be found over the forum determined 😉 Looking forward to your information. Greetings

  • 1 columns Lifting platform vs. tiled floor

Hello together, I have been thinking about moving to the home garage with my hobby workshop for some time now. It would bring various advantages for me. Unfortunately, I can’t take my 2 column stage with me for space reasons and would then have to buy a 1 column stage. I was at Twinbusch in the showroom and looked at this thing. Basically, I am convinced of the system and the advantages of a 1 column stage. However, I have muffe around my tiles in the garage. In the showroom with Twinbusch had already jumped a few tiles….. Since I had only reluctantly answered questions there and there was hardly any desire for a sales interview, I wanted to ask here if someone uses such a stage on comparatively sensitive to the ground. I had the idea to glue the support trays of the stage with something like anti-slip mats so that the frame of the stage is not pressed on the bare tiles. The slide mat is stable but minimal other idea would be to put PVC tiles under it for industrial floors. The stuff is for heavy duty and can withstand a lot. Vllt has someone more experience and can report?

  • Which Mig/Mag welding device for bodywork and other work

Hello, I’m planning to purchase a Mig/Mag welding device. Mainly for thin sheet (car body), but sometimes also something bigger. Filling wire does not necessarily have to be able to. At the car directly I have only 230V available, at the house also strong current. However, for thin sheet should be enough anyway, right? A light device would be nice, but not a mandatory criterion. Usually I always like to buy high-quality equipment, but with welding devices it seems very useful devices very who (a)https://www.ebay.de/…/170851549498?… b) Or an NFT Mig 250 Does something clear speak for or against one of the devices?
