  • Test the battery in case of cold

I’m just doing a maybe unusual battery test. I bought a used vehicle this year. Unfortunately I don’t know how old the battery is. I couldn’t get any information about it from the seller either. Battery: Varta 44 Ah 1K0 912 105 220 A DIN 360 A EN/SAE Vehicle: VW Caddy Ecofuel Bj 2009 80kW 1984 ccm I drove yesterday an hour to charge the battery relatively fully. At home at 18:00 I then removed the battery and put it in the freezer. (-20° C). Today I want to test the battery around 10-11 o’clock. Thus the battery should have cooled quite well. To load the battery I have unfortunately only one GYS TBP 100. Yesterday at 21:20 the battery had an idle voltage of 12.73 volts. Today 08:30 12.69 volts I am already eagerly looking forward to the measurement results.

  • Log in Homlink system to garage door opener

Hello together; Would like to introduce myself as a new member in the forum. I drive a SL 350 year 2013. Unfortunately I have a problem, the built-in garage door opener does not work with the garage drive. After the description of the vehicle and the frequency this should work with the drive. Has someone already made an experience with it?

  • Gas pressure or oil pressure shock absorbers

Good evening dear MT community, need a consultation/information from you again. Renault Clio III, 1.2 Turbo with slightly more than standard performance. Now shock absorbers are due. Actually only rear left. but for me logically to exchange the 2 back. Question: Oil pressure or gas pressure. Just rear axle or complete. – Monroe Reflex or Sachs Supertouring…or another recommendation from you. In any case no suggestion please towards coilover suspension or similar. Thank you already in advance!

  • Store winter bike, tube hanging through middle hole

Does the set of tires (complete wheel, tires on rim) speak however for the other season in the way described below? All 4 pieces close to each other tire flank at flank, steel tube through center hole of all in series standing wheels introduced. Tube of diameter approximately of the center hole rim (pipe wall about 3mm strong). Tube pulls out sufficiently wide at both ends from the row of wheels. Tube hung on both sides by e.g.: 2 belts for transpor tgut safety, each belt runs like a V. Tires float a few centimeters above ground. Tube in horizontal position while it hangs on two belts, on top the 4 wheels.

  • Seal the final pot connection

Hello guys I bought a motorcycle again after almost 30 years break. CB600 Hornet. 2008. Has a end pot from Leovince and the whole exhaust system is not original either. I have the original but (hopefully complete). I am here in Spain. Salesman meant to check the original end pot for a little bit. I tried this today ma because I don’t necessarily like the louder Leovince pot anyway. As almost feared, the original pot does not fit Although there was such a ‘dichtring’ there, the connection of the original pot is much too big, even if I pull the clamp very tightly I can twist the exhaust without any effort on the pipe and of course he ‘puffs’ out there as well. So back and again the Leovince put on it. While dismantling pieces of a tape have fallen out, some aluminum tape … now of course the Leovince is no longer dense. So probably my question, I have been looking for almost hours what the woh l for a tape could be what you use for sealing, but I find only tapes for repairing defective exhausts or for wrapping pipes. What do I need to look for?

  • Honda Dax goes out when it’s warm

Hello, my old Honda Dax St70 starts cold wonderful. But when it drives so 5-10 min, it pulls less and accelerates only when the gas is low. It has a new tank, new iridium spark plug, new air filter and cleaned carburetor. What can I do or is it plunging the ignition coil?

  • CBR650RRatter when inserting the 1st gear

Hello all, I have bought a CBR650R which has now run about 500km. I noticed that it is making a rattling noise recently, when I try to put the first gear in cold engine (too soft?). So I have to kick it in jerky so that this grinding noise does not appear. This happens to me on the one hand only on cold engine and on the other hand I think that this was not like this from the beginning. (longed coupling rope would be a conjecture, but I am not Since I don’t know exactly about motorcycles, I ask for indulgence. I’m technically skilled (as far as engines are concerned) but I’m not completely enlightened when it comes to the motorcycle gearbox. Please don’t give any tips on how to drive to the dealer, it’s a guarantee. I’m aware of that, but I would like to understand the behavior and therefore ask here in the forum I hope someone can give me a tip and/or an explanation. Thank you very much. In advance!

  • Honda Transalp PD09 1995 beating sound of chain or left side

Servus, and I bought a Honda Transalp PD09 last week as the first motorcycle with 42000 km. However, what I noticed already during the test drive, and was stamped as normal by the owner before, was the beating noise when accelerating out of the chain drive. You also feel at this moment like the motorcycle jerks synchronously to the noise. Especially when rolling you hear it especially strong whether clutch pulled or not. Since I wanted to have little idea of motorcycles i I have already checked the chain tension and would consider it to be good. I am grateful for any help.

  • Carburettor basic setting

Hello dear community, I’m driving a Sym Jungle 50ccm 2t built in 1998. I’m reporting because I have a question about the carburetor basics, i.e. the CO and stand gas screw. First of all: I cleaned the carburetor, because the scooter starts badly and I had the problem that he did not take any gas when starting (to start I had to give full gas). Now I set the stand gas so that it can hold it at all times (I don’t know exactly how far the CO-Schr Aube is outside, but he usually sounds good). But now it is that if I give half-gas already at full speed. Now I wanted to know if that is bad for the scooter now, or if you can drive with the carburettor grounding so, without which you break something. Thank you already in advance! Greetings moritzg928

  • Windshield/Disc Traffic torn by PUIG

Hello everyone! About 4 months ago I had installed a PUIG windshield (Traffic 6769 H) correctly and without the use of cleaning agents or other fluids. Now the PUIG windshield starts to form cracks at the right mounting point. Previously this has also happened – but only after about 3-4 years with the same PUIG windshield. I assume that the reason for this are the shock loads during driving (asphalt, rarely cobblestones). Too tight or too curly. r I had hopefully not tightened the mounting screws. PUIG refuses a warranty, since it is claimed that I used a chemical liquid/spray for washing – which is definitely not the case. Does anyone have an idea or a hint as to how this windshield can remain crack-free in the future (rubber damper or similar)?
