Evening Audi friends, I wanted to drive my friend home Saturday evening and noticed that it was quite dark in the front and ran right and had to find out that my dipped-beam no longer went, the driving beam only when the lever is pulled, so it does not stop. The standing light and the rear lights work however. After a long time back and forth (and don’t know what it is), I have now replaced the switch for standing light/deep-beam, but this did not deliver any results. In addition, my Audi has had another significant problem in the idling range for a few days, it has a speed range of 3000/3500 revolutions in both cold and warm engines. My question would be whether both are connected (which I exclude) or what it might be, that the driving light does not snap in etc. Edit: After today’s looking for my car I noticed the window lifter (elek.) and the windscreen wiper just did not react any more. the lever on the handlebars together or are these again spezelle problems?

Some questions about the A6 C4
Hello all, have bought me as a winter car an A6 C4 2.6l Quattro Bj.94. Now I would like to change a few things. And I would like to install a xenonkit, has someone ever done this on the C4? And with the outdoor temperature indicator and the climate control panel, the lighting no longer works on the climate control panel, but only the digital display, the bedineknöpfe already. can you do something, or buy new / used part? And I want to at least at the front on electric F how is it because of the assembly, especially the electronics, is it prepared? And where do I get a Sport ESD from? The only ones I found for the Quattro were from Remus but cost just under 450€ only for an ESD a little bit… Thanks already

Mini Cooper S R53 Nails/knocks/tractor noise
Hello dear community! I’ve been a proud owner of a Mini Cooper S R50 (JCW Tuning Kit from factory for almost a week) bj 10.2002 136t km Last night – when I came home, I noticed a strange noise, which I don’t think was there before (know the car very little):http://vocaroo.com/i/s1xmVAIHqHXO The noise definitely comes from the engine block! unfortunately not exactly limitable.. The engine runs calmly (no speed fluctuations), and has its power. I did some research on the internet and read a lot about the control chain problem (but the R56). In my case, I can’t detect a loud rattle. Do I have to worry about this “knock” or tractor noise? And a second problem, rather incidentally: If I speed up to about 40 km/h, the front commutes slightly to the left and right (for the other occupants hardly noticeable) Evtl important: it is a Bilstein b12 coilover suspension installed and set quite low I am happy about every tip! PS: I’m not a mechanic – and as far as Mini is concerned a layman at all Thanks

Rust problems on the mini?
Hello On the weekend I polished our Mini Cooper S and encountered small bumps in the paint. As I looked more closely, I realized that the paint “blossoms” not at the edges but in the middle of the sheet metal parts. On both sides the rear plates between the door and the wheel run are hit, as well as the passenger door. There are several spots to recognize, on which the paint shows itself in about 3 mm large points really blooming. At a “pickel” I scratched once and already bl Yesterday the vehicle had to be inspected, and then I immediately approached the workshop master and showed him the jobs. Someone from the advertising department was called up and now it is to be advised internally how to proceed… The vehicle is by the way first registration 06/2008 and in my opinion a garage car must not start rusting after just two years…. Does any of you know these problems?

First engine now also alternator broken? Already 13.000 EUR Reparatukosten
Hello dear, 6 months ago the engine was changed at my Mini One (Bj 2011 / 60,000Km). Cost: 9,000 EUR including V-belt and Lambda probe. I had to take over 2,000 EUR – but it was a long fight! Now 6 months later my car did not jump any more. BMW gave the start aid. Two days later the same thing. ADAC comes by and says that the alternator is in order. Next day he does not jump again, so again the BMW service called, which says, ss alternator is in order. Gesturer I then took him to BMW. Just I was called with the indication that the alternator is broken and the battery has to be renewed. The alternator is taken over to 100% Matieral, the installation to 50% – stay for me 200 EUR for the installation. Then there are 220 EUR for the diagnosis and 180 EUR for the battery. First I seriously wonder how all this can be, that now also the alternator is capuut. 220 To be honest, I also find EUR for the diagnosis very strange, because more than 1-2 hours are certainly not needed or how do you see it? I am really pissed off. I spent 2,000 EUR for the engine last year, as well as 1,000 EUR (+1,000 EUR culanz) for other repairs in 2014 (chain tensioners, solenoid valves etc.). Now the repair should cost 600 EUR again (700 EUR culanz). If I calculate all this I will soon get to 13.000 EUR for repairs after just 4 years and 65,000Km. There’s already a brand new MINI in it!! I’m really not sure if I should accept it that way. What do you say?

New battery for the R56 of 2008
Hello, Frauchen has received the days for her R56 Cooper personalized offer for various service and partial replacement services. Since the little one has now 7 years on the poke (and except the incandescent lamps) so far had no problems, I want it to go on like this. With in the offer on this flyer: replacement of the battery for 125€ (55Ah). After 7 years you can exchange it on suspicion. Ok ok … ne 55A-Battery you get in part trade si But I thought to myself: “they build a” … “there is guarantee” … “the car is sucked out and also washed” … I don’t have any racing.” That’s worth the 125€. In the offer for the battery change, however, there is “no battery registration”. I know from my Countryman that nowadays you have to tell the system that a new battery has been installed (comfort control unit). How is this with the 2008 R56 Cooper ? I have heeu when I made the appointment, asked extra … not that then +39€ for the coding with on the invoice. This was denied for the 2008er. Can someone confirm that ? Is no coding necessary for the 2008er ? (If the invoice is higher, I will level the store there … or something!) Greeting, JNR

Of phantom brakes and accelerations
In Tesla vehicles, a lot is reported about phantom braking that is at least annoying in individual cases or dangerous for the following. The EQS also has phantom braking and can even offer phantom accelerations. While at Teslas, a miscalculated signal probably provides surprising braking, at the EQS, apparently outdated map data on construction site speed limits are the triggers. Today, on the return journey, I had this several times. Typically on motorways The driver’s assistant (autopilot) jumps to 80 km/h and the car adjusts the speed immediately. Since apparently the follow-up signs of the previous speed limit are stored, this happens several times in the relevant motorway section. So better switch off the autopilot for a while and continue driving manually. For probably the same reason – only the other way around – the autopilot jumps on the previous one even at a speed-limited distance. set speed value for free distance (most of me 150 km/h) and starts speeding up quickly. Also stupid in a “60s” or “80s” track. I wanted to report at this point and am curious if other EQS (or EQx) riders have already noticed this.
