  • Timing belt change Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD 16V

    Hello people =)) I am at an Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD 16V and would like to know something about the timing belt change ! Prehistory: I was torn from the yard with 5-6km/h when driving backwards =((( of course I screwed down the valve cover see 2 tipping levers broken ! I opened the cover pulled out the defective timing belt and saw that the V-belt has loosened like spaghetti and wrapped itself firmly at the bottom of the KW au so on the alternator also ! I made everything of course clean so far ready for the new timing belt and 2 new tilting levers. When dismantling the tensioning roller I noticed that the threaded rod is loose so can be easily moved back and forth is that normal ??? ??? ??? ( threaded rod where tensioning roller comes on it ) Of course I change tensioning roller, deflection / guide roller and water pump ! I know you have chewed this topic very often =))) but I want to vo n you know could have survived the valves ? Can I just renew the tilt lever and go on ???? MFG

    Hello, I’m going to have to buy a new car soon and I’m thinking of buying an MV6 and then having it upgraded to LPG. My old car was an A4 2.5l tdi with 150 hp. With it I never needed more than 8l diesel on the motorway. It was also fast and economical. And the Diesel Omega is too undermotorized, consumes more than the Audi and is not so fast yet. Therefore, there is only the possibility with the MV6. Above all large, full equipment and HECKANTRIEB, which I don’t find in the Audi A4.   • Suzuki Gran Vitara

    For about half a year I have been driving a Suzuki Gran Vitara Bj 1998. Now the car is already the second time (in the turn) on the opposite track, without reason (no wetness, no too fast driving etc.). It seemed to me as if the front wheels were blocking easily and the car just continues straight ahead. However, it could easily be steered back again. A familiar typed a gear damage, but can not confirm it 100%. Therefore my questions: it might be someone who has had similar experiences.   • Question about DAB+ – Autoradio + FM

    Hello! I would like to get a car radio with hands-free equipment. Once caught with a mobile phone costs as much as a radio. But I now ask the question DAB+ or not. In Cologne are so many O lines and high buildings that the FM reception is often disturbed already. So it will probably be a DAB+ car radio. My question is how the FM reception of a DAB+ car radio is, whereby one can probably not generalize that. But such a rough direction would make me reic I have a job and a family and if my antenna (Mistubishi Galant) with a splitter is not enough for DAB+, could I then receive FM with the radio quite normally? Until I find the time to install a proper DAB+ antenna. If I do that I want to do it properly, and time is really short. I know that DAB+ radios switch over to FM with not DAB reception, but are these receivers theoretically also enough for only FM reception? (As I said, since s would be in the worst case short term, say times max 4 weeks)

  • Volvo C70 4 Steps Automatic

    Moin moin, I’m thinking of buying a Volvo C70 Coupé and have a few questions about it. With the hand-operated I know myself halfway out but especially with the C70 there are many automatics – driven on the market. Can one say now that the 4 steps automatic “good” or “bad” is? There are from model year 2000 or 2001 the 5 steps automatic, which definitely also has a converter clutch but has the 4 steps automatic also one? How long does the Autom Atik ca.? Should you rather use the hand-operated one? Is the 2.0T in combination with the automatic transmission to the 1.6 tons too little for cruising but also sometimes faster? Thanks a lot

  • Cracking and squeaking in the front wheel box when steering

    Moin people, I was with my moose in the workshop recently because it cracked while steering in the stand. Several joints were greased and the stop buffers were exchanged. The cracking while steering was in the meantime less, but is never gone and now there again. Besides, I noticed a noise, which I can not classify. Videos are in the appendix. The noise comes from the front right wheel box and comes only when I roll at approx. 20-30 km/h into the curve, without gas too When I steer to the right, the sound doesn’t come. The steering in the stand and at very low speed causes a crack. The flickering noise in the video comes from the front right of the wheel box or directly from the direction of the right front wheel when steering in strongly left without gas. What could it be about? Do you have any ideas? If you still need information or pictures, I’ll be happy to do that.

I am also aware of consumption and taxes. Now to my Fra gen: – Shortly after starting white smoke rises on the driver’s side, I smelled something and would say that it is oil. Is the normal ? After a short distance I could also detect the same smell in the interior. – The oil filing rod is very short, it was only about 2 cm plastic at the end visible. Is this perhaps broken off ?
