  • DSG switching problems and delayed gas removal

Since August 2023 I have been driving a new Skoda Karoq 1.5 L with DSG. Since then my, otherwise very nice Karoq, has been frustrating me again and again. The delayed gas acceptance from the stand or during the ride, I feel as an insecurity and danger. Especially if you urgently need acceleration, nothing happens, but then overly used. If I want to drive at constant speed and accelerate easily, no reaction occurs. more gas, no reaction. A little more gas and it shuts down and goes off, like a rocket, almost. On the highway driving up in the construction site area with limited threaded track I tried to speed up because a truck approached. Normal way a quite normal and relaxed situation. Instead of speeding up the engine was crying out completely. I first scared myself. I slowed down and the car behaved like I was idle. Thanks to the gl The truck driver skipped the narrow left track of the construction site and nothing happened. My confidence in the reliable acceleration of the car is no longer available. I bought a new car with all imaginable amenities and the master in the workshop tells me that it is normal and there is no reason for a return or change for the car. I have been driving car and motorcycle for almost 50 years. I have already had several Opel records with 3 gear converter automatic, the first Opel Mokka with 5 gear converter A. , the PSA Mokka with 8 gear converter (a brilliant drive with three cylinders) and NIE I have had such a situation. If some think that it is the “Turboloch”. This is my fourth turbo. For example, there was still NIE before. The Karoq should be my feel-good car with comfortable entry and much age-appropriate comfort. A lot of money is powdered and no fries at all. more about it – just frustration. Of course, I’d like to find a simple solution, such as software update. How to proceed ……………….. Thank you for your attention and have fun with whatever you’re driving with. Maybe there’s a miracle 🙂 ?

  • Manual Navi Update ECE A1 2025 to SD card breaks down with error

My Karoq still needs a manual Navi update to the SD card, so download the ZIP file from the update portal, then unpack and copy to the freshly formatted SD card. Unfortunately, unpacking the ZIP with a CRC error breaks in the file “maps\00\nds\PRODUCT\E1\ROUTING.NDS”. I have tested several downloads with different browsers, PCs, operating systems (Linux+Windows 11) and unpackers – without improvement. } Has anyone successfully executed the update? Thank you & G Rice

  • No more short beeping when inserting the reverse gear

Hello, with my Skoda Karoq year of construction 2024 there is since today suddenly when the reverse gear is inserted the short beep is no longer available. The volume reduction of the entertainment system works however. The rear sensors seem to work because it beeps when approaching an obstacle. What could this be?

  • Display 2-cylinder mode does not come

Hello, with my Karoq Sportline 1.5 TSI ACT, 110 kW, DSG, built in 2024 I have seen the display “2-cylinder mode” only once after vehicle collection, since I have tried the views of the virtual cockpit. Since then I no longer see the display, although I always have the current/average consumption display active. In which view is the text displayed? Or can it be that the ACT is defective with my vehicle?

  • Tyre pressure indicator EQS

Today my EQS received the warning that the tyre pressure was too low. So to the next petrol station, open the tank cover to check what the target pressure was. Missing! Although symbols for the loading were visible, but no values! User manual – the same: symbols, but no values! On the Internet on the quick (the questioning looks of the passing burner drivers to the cash desk were little animating, longer than absolutely necessary to stay) looked – also misance question in the round: what is on your tank cover? Otherwise: in three months about 10,000 km down and I feel more comfortable than in my GLS, which now my wife drives and so far refuses to switch to an EQV – unfortunately she has gotten wind that Mercedes will also bring out a large electric SUV (the EQC is not possible because the trunk is tiny) …

  • EQE/EQS heat pump

I would like to have a discussion of the facts about the heat pump here and have opened separate thread Mercedes has published the following description about the air conditioning.https://…p-media.mercedes-benz.com/…/…e-Klimatierung.xhtml?… Takeaway: – The battery is only heated under -25° or before fast charging. On normal driving there is even nothing, so no electricity is consumed – the interior is heated from waste heat eATS or heaters Statement MB Due to this efficient waste heat usage I can confirm this from my everyday life. If >5°C then the consumption is in a very reasonable frame. But if it is under freezing point then the heaters (3-5 Kwh) run and depending on the average speed I am at 25-40Kwh/100km. Can you understand 1:1 yourself. If you drive as written by MB in Eco+ the heating is off, it remains cold in the car and the consumption is normal. So where does the heat pump even use a noticeable one depending on the application? – At temperatures >5° the heat pump is sometimes negligible – In winter, if it is cold in the car in the morning and then car should be heated up at maximum speed? Does the heat pump already jump in and reduce the power consumption of the heaters? – Does heat pump bring what for the short-distance driver 15min? – or does it need long-distance for noticeable benefits? I suppose: – during the winter short distance commuters it will bring little to nothing, because the PTC heaters bollards – in the winter driver from travel time x it will bring something – at >5° it will bring little to no overall benefit then probably strongly depends on the individual profile. Your opinion?

  • Loss of power

Dear friends, I have a “exciting” problem with my G, W463, 270cdi, Automatik, EZ 10/04; for better clarity I number through: 1.) I start the engine. 2.) I speed up; 2nd gear comes at about 3100 rpm, then very soon the 3rd gear is already at 1700 rpm, then the 4th and then the 5th gear quickly too. 3.) The G thus reaches a maximum of 120 km/h at approx. 2700 rpm; there is nothing more, even with lead foot not. 4.) On low gradients this will be 5.) I stop. Engine continues to run inconspicuously round, no shaking, no jerking. I move the selector lever to position N and give gas: the engine turns high up to 2900 rpm, then it regulates, more revolutions do not come. I then move the selector lever to position P, and everything is like in Postion N. 6.) I turn off the engine, take out the ignition key, reboot it and restart the engine. 7.) Now, As it stands, it takes full gas, the pointer of the speed meter speeds up normally until far beyond 3000 rpm. It is clearly no longer regulated. 8.) Then I drive, and everything comes back as described above … Who of you can please give me a hint? I can only give my G time in the next week into the MB plant saddle; can I still drive it until then, or should I not touch it any more? Many thanks in advance. Gruss Wurzie

  • Plant oil conversion for G-Class CDI – who knows more?

Who has OWNER experience with CDI engines converted to vegetable oil? Would you like to drive the G320 CDI ADDITIONAL with regenerated vegetable oil later (after expiry of the regular warranty). What do I have to pay attention to? What problems can arise? Does someone know a professional retrofitter in Switzerland? Thank you for your help.

  • Speed decreases when uncoupled/

Hello, Problem 1) has the problem most often during on/off-coupling and almost always when I drive backwards, the speed drops up to 500 and itself goes up again. In idle the engine works normal. 1.6 Zetec E 9 Ps Year of manufacture 97 HAVE already changed the crankshaft… valve, corner hose, empty running switch and the throttle valve ruptured. What else can it be ?? Problem 2) The other problem, I noticed that sometimes on the highway when I give gas so at 120km/h he don’t drive faster and then I push the gas pedals completely and then it goes very slowly faster. After a few minutes it is gone and then it is splashy again. Is it maybe the LMM ?? THANK YOU

  • Sports air filter or exhaust system

Servus together I have a question that has been asked certain scon thousand times. I am thinking about whether I am putting a sports air filter or a sports exhaust system underset at my escort 1.6l 16v bj 96. I am less concerned about the acoustics but about getting ahead. I have already tried out my escort a bit in things air filter( time measurement 0-100 standart then without plug on air mass meter and without air filter I have also driven on clean road times and have determined without air filter the time measurement was 4 sec faster) and in things sport Auspuff it is actually about that the engine has less exhaust back pressure or am I wrong? I had there but other experience can make then at my polo86c, since I fell off the end pot and the car was no longer out of ass. 130 was celebration evening without end pot! please to clarify what brings something greeting Marcel
