  • 2008 120 hp diesel BJ2017 timing belts

Hello! Have a 2008 BJ2017 with the 120 HP BlueHDI Diesel. I brought it today for the 5 year inspection (83000km) and my dealer (Original Peugeot Citroen) told me that there is a recommendation for this engine after 5 years (or 100000 km) to renew the timing belt, because this could tear and he would have already had 2 cars there where with approx. 100000-120000 km the timing belt would be torn and then the engine was over. A new timing belt would be installed which would be improved constructionally and then a normal change interval would be given again. Is anyone this known here? LG

  • Dealing with the possible loss of funding for plug-in hybrids from 2023

There is a detailed presentation of the proposed changes to the promotion for e-cars from 2023. There it says via plug-in hybrids: Quotation: 3. In the sense of a as slim as possible promotion, which focuses on the positive climate protection effect and since plug-in hybrids are now marketable, the promotion for plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) should end on 31.12.2022. Specifically, this means that plug-in hybrids with a first registration from 01/01/2023 thus no longer receive any promotion. Of course, this still has to be decided and implemented. I would like to know how the reaction of the old PSA core brands is to this effect. Especially from the point of view of the current delivery times. Do you buy the vehicles anyway or would this change lead to a cancellation of the order? Vehicles such as DS4 or Peugeot 308 have only come to the market this year as a plug-in hybrid. The price difference to the pure burners is still clear at the moment. Note: Please a factual friendly discussion and limited to the former PSA core brands.

  • When starting only short engine rumbling, but engine does not start

Hello Together, My Ball no longer wants to :‘-( Vehicle data: SMART CITY-COUPE 0.8 CDI Key number: 8773 302 Built: 07/2002; approx. 160,000 km When ignition is switched on, you hear a surging noise (fuel pump (?)) for a few seconds, while switching to N you hear the gearbox. When starting the starter spins, then the engine rumbles a few times unround before it goes out again. It sounds like the last kick is missing so that the engine runs round. This can be done until the battery becomes weak. 1. fuses are checked; all are OK 2. gears are heard when switching on N, R and 1 3. New battery installed 4. start pilot/start assistance spray: Just as described above. Engine jerks a few times, but does not pull through 5. relay box climate (under driver’s seat) reinstalled 6. high pressure pump approx. 1 year old; pressure according to Bosch reader 350 bar 7. error indication lt. reads: charging air cooler, gear selector not gear lever position?

  • Oil moisture in the range of the turbocharger / airbox supply to the turbocharger

Hello, I saw yesterday that my Smart Bj 2000 54hp has a new revised engine before 35tkm and before about 6tkm a new partial load valve in the range of the turbocharger and lufbox supply from the turbocharger oil moisture. Now I am unsure ahead of it can lie. I tried to wipe it away once and did a test drive, however, so far nothing is visible. Which components could be affected by this, which in the area may be leaking un oil, so that I can watch there more strongly? The yellow on the pictures is from the lamp that I used to illuminate. Many greetings Mr Nesquik

  • Brake on the rear axle without function

Hello guys, I’m proud owner of a Smart 451 built in 2009 and I never have a little problem that I need a little help with. On the last TÜV visit a lot on the rear axle didn’t bring any braking effect, hand brake was ok. After I aired the rear brake line everything was ok again but only for a few days, after that the problem was there again. Also the replacement of the rear brakes did not bring any success. What could it be that I only enter the rear brake line air? I’m already looking forward to a few suggestions for troubleshooting, Thanks already in advance

  • Putting CTR into loving hands …

Now it’s time for me to get my new CTR next week. Maybe someone is interested in you. It’s Bj, 07/2002 has approx. 70500km on the watch is from 1st hand and accident-free. The paint is nighthawk black and apart from a few obligatory stone strokes on the bonnet in very good condition (like the rest of the car also ) It has air conditioning, tinted disks, radio with 10-fold CD changer, 35mm H&R springs, Sebring stainless steel ESD and K&N Typhoon Kit installed. The brake has been completely renewed at 55,000km. Winter bikes on original rim with Pirelli Snowsport 240 are also included. It runs normally on standard rim with Bridgestone RE050A. The car is checked and all children’s diseases (lenks, clutch cylinders) have been exchanged. In addition, there is a guarantee of the car dealer group Eitel until 2009. Warming, etc. of course.

  • Bastuck shakes in wet weather

Hi! Since recently my Bastuck shakes and shakes off Kat during wet or rain rides. Not permanently, but now and then… the whole seat vibrates with, really unpleasant. Also he squats something short, I guess water. Do I see nothing, screws are also fixed … so, what else can it be? At Audi I have seen that they also have the problem. Through the water he pulls himself together extremely hot exhaust and then strikes somewhere on the chassis … only where can this be with the Civic? Space has enough in all directions and I can hardly imagine how he should stretch in about 3cm!? Ciao Andy

  • Premium Sound Package 2 (FN2)

Hello, have a question about the Premium Sound Package 2. As I understand it, it consists of 4 speakers and an amplifier. The yellow boxes are for the doors and are connected to the additional amplifier. The gray ones are for the rear and are connected directly to the radio, right? Which are the yellow speakers: Premium speaker set 08A60-SMR600A (double cone) or Premium speaker set 08A60-SMR600B (2 ways) On the picture on the internet (Premium Bass Sound System 08A54-SMR kit2, would say that this is from the Civic price list only with slightly different name) are funnyly pictured by each one. Maybe someone else has got the package with the part numbers and could post them. Background, Honda has so many different systems with the same name and no one knows. Did the Premium Bass Sound System from the normal Civic built in me, which consists only of the gray boxes with the amplifier (sounds neija, money would have saved me). How did you have the amplifier in conjunction with the original radio leveled greeting and thanks Olli?

  • Smart Roadster 452: Measuring the temperature of the engine oil (experiment)

Hello, dear Roadster friends, Some time ago I announced elsewhere in the forum that I would construct and install a floor pan for the open engine compartment of the Roadster. Similar to what is common in the automotive industry toootaaal nowadays. Even at Daimler. Purpose: dirt protection, rust protection, power line, fuel saving etc.pp. Maybe another enthusiast has already started such a project? Then please let me know, thank you! In my insignificant knowledge, the Mercedes-Obrists have pushed our Nicolas Hayek out of the Fima, with the typical sub-layer argument, the car is finished – NOW is sold! The Brave would never have agreed to let go of a car that is unfinished in important respects! Not even for later retrofitting they have tried…. :/ The engineers had in fact everything in planning and preparation, as one sees when looking at the car bodies.
