  • Winter tires when did they leave?

Hello, at the moment I installed 205/55/R16 H winter tires on my Toyota Avensis. It is still about 1 mm up to the wear limit (indicator marking) of the tire. However, the tyre still has 5 mm profile on it. What looks like here. Until when can I still drive the winter tire? How would you proceed here.

  • Leasing/purchase advice for (Cupra) Ateca, (Cupra) Formentor or (Cupra) Leon

Hello, I’m thinking about whether I should lease an Ateca, Formentor or Leon as a cupra or normally. Here are the following questions, for which I’m especially asking for your own experiences. 1. I have been driving an Audi A4 Avant 3.0 TDI S-line, s-tronic with first registration in 2010 and now 260,000 km. Purchased with 175,000 km and had little problems. Will I notice the change from Audi to Seat when driving from feeling / quality impression? If yes, the difference is extreme or too small. 2. I still fluctuate very much between gasoline, hybrid or diesel. The diesel is a little weak for me with 150 hp. The hybrid recuperate poorly according to a seller’s statement and are soon no longer built. Is it still worth leasing a 245 hp hybrid for 3 years? (I know there will be nothing more with the promotion) 3. Is there an engine/model that makes big problems? 4. Which engine is better: 2 liters petrol with 190 or 300/310 hp? In terms of consumption, maintenance, price/leist Thank you for your experience.

  • Full-year tyres/winter tyres/summer tyres Fuel consumption

Good day, since I also have a question about all year round tires. I drive on Saturday a Formentor VZ 310 sample , which has the All Season Conti from factory on it , since I also live in central Germany and except for a few exceptions here fortunately the snow is not everyday I thought it would go well with it . My basement and garage is already well filled by my Audi wheelsets which were not useful in sales but to give away too expensive . I had actually always Summer /Winter sets, should I buy the vehicle, I still have a somewhat restless feeling. With fuel monitor can be read out very well the former GJR driver, have changed to summer /Winter, and the fuel consumption is also at summer /GJR by 1 liter lower,in the winter /GJR it is almost the same. I put myself already on it that the 310 ps on average swallows 11 liters of fuel,if you can correct this with good tires a little down I will have a pure Som buy merradsatz, and drive the GJR set in winter. In fuel consumption I see also the normal super gasoline caused the highest consumption, this Premium 100 has apparently almost 1.5 L less at 100 km. Honestly I don’t quite understand why the Cupra with this group engine hits so out of line in terms of consumption, with 160 km/h on the highway I wanted to drive already on holiday, but not with the horror opinions of up to 14 /17 liters. Well I still have him Selbs t not tested, but many videos seen, certainly you could still fine tune in the engine software. Thanks for reading and hopefully answer.

  • Return with full-year tyres instead of summer tyres (leasing)

Hello together, summer is coming to an end, autumn is about to start and for some people the topic of winter tyres will certainly be the same. That’s why I don’t want to talk about it further here, but we will install good all-year tyres (GJR) on the factory rims. So the summer tyres installed from the factory are left. Now I have studied the leasing contract and can’t find any information about whether a return has to be made on summer tyres. There is no “summer tire”, this only applies to winter tyres (snowflake). So I don’t think this would have to be a problem/deficiency. Also the VWFS damage catalog does not give anything: https://damage catalog.vwfs.de/maturation.html How do you see/do it?

  • Ice rain, car drivers and mature

It was just outside that I got something, at my job a lot of busy road passes and there was freezing rain. You oh you 2-3 min and 4 driving accidents. And you’ll laugh what it was like: Ridgon Winter profile Summer tire Stunner (never heard but no matter) the other profiles looked like summer tires, I couldn’t see any more, but I didn’t want to look closer through and after the name. Somehow that confirms me again, the rich Tige tires to the right weather is just better! Greetings And of course driving appropriately, look out of the window, one goes to the left, then to the right, you can see it slightly smoke what it probably has on it for tires. Less gas sometimes brings more.

  • Marking of all-weather tyres

Hello! Will I soon buy all-weather tyres (not so easy to find than 205/45/16). My question now is, which markings on the tyre flank must be embossed. On the one hand I read “with M+S marking”, on the other there must also be a snowflake on it… What is the truth? Which markings must be on it so that in the case of mallus I cannot be accused of using unsuitable tyres in the event of an accident in winter? LG AlexRK

  • Summer tires in winter – driver/holder

Moin Moin! My treasure wants to/must go to Bavaria next month, the car in question only has summer tyres. I am in favour of buying a set of winter tyres, but well. My treasure says that we should not throw the money out of the window, because the box will not come through the HU in January 2010 anyway, besides, you can drive more carefully. The question is now: If so the car hinders others or even something happens because of the summer bikes (I don’t go from Personal damage, that would be terrible), what do I have to reckon with? My name is in the papers.

  • The truth about nitrogen gas filling in the tire …

Hello, I hope I have no mistake in thinking, here is a calculation example: Let’s take a tire with 2.5 bar filling pressure, together with the ambient pressure of 1 bar (1013mbar air column) are therefore 3.5 bar absolute pressure in the tire. Furthermore, it should be clear that the ambient air already contains 78% nitrogen. In the tire with “nitrogen filling” are: 1.0 bar with 78% nitrogen 2.5 bar with 100% nitrogen Power 328:3.5 = 94% For a 100% nitrogen filling the tire would have to be an air conditioner is evacuated, has anyone ever seen it? In a tire with 2.5 bar filling pressure and chargeable nitrogen filling are therefore at most 94% nitrogen, in a tire with normal ambient air but also 78% nitrogen. Do you really notice the difference between 78% and 94% nitrogen filling, only 20% more? mfg chris

  • Engine doesn’t take any gas and goes out.

Hello guys, Two days ago the engine at 80 KMH and cruise control did not take any more gas but drove with 80ig further, yesterday I wanted to bring the car now into the workshop and was a little faster on the way, at the traffic light then the engine went out and the car did not start anymore. After I let the engine rest then he started again and ran only stutter back to the workshop. The workshop is completely clueless and has submitted this to Kia the car has The car has been constantly firing under cruise control even in normal driving mode and simply does not speed up properly. Today the workshop has now been tested and that twice??? and only the problem with the gas has occurred, but also here it has not indicated an error. The workshop had a diagnostic device with it and there only the MapSensor was displayed, but is already new and the problem definitely cannot cause. Does any of you have an idea what that can be? I personally tap on the engine control unit that would explain all the symptoms. The workshop meant throttle valves or turbo, which would explain neither the gas acceptance nor the ignition oscillations
