  • Xenon Problems

    Good day, can now finally call a Saab 2.2 Tid my own. After I checked the vehicle for the whole weekend at heart I can say that the purchase has been more than worthwhile. I was surprised most by the excellent handling. The only disappointment so far are the Xenon lights, which I was really looking forward to because of the enthusiastic comments in this forum. I just feel uncomfortable during the night driving – contrary to me in the ancient predecessor car Golf 3 I find that the road is lit much worse. Especially in sweeps and when recognizing road signs I find it difficult. The car dealer said that one simply has to get used to the light color of the xenons – what I think is humbug – because every headlight produces more light. 🙂 When I park in front of a shop window the xenons appear much weaker than with any other car with conventional light. m the lamp on the driver’s side seems to me to be even weaker than the one on the passenger side. Is that normal? Or do xenon lights become weaker over time? (the car is 5 years old). Could it be that the left light was affected in a possible accident of the previous owner?     My SAAB 9-3, Bj 2008 ( 2.0t, 175hp ; BioPower with automatic transmission ) has 120000km. The transmission oil should be changed at 1200000. Questions or can someone tell me: 1. Which type of oil (exact explanation) are used in the 5-speed-sentronik automatic transmission. 2. Also the procedure / a description of the oil change of the automatic transmission would be good to know. 3. I am also not known which type of A-gear is installed in a Saab 9-3. Can you help me ?   • Dekra reports at the end of the lease agreement

    Hello together, today was my last day as a mini-driver As if that wasn’t a punishment enough, I just get an e-mail from my mini-advisor that the Dekra are finished with the report.The following defects are burdened me : – driven multi-kilometres – crack on the front apron – worn off summer tires – 3 damaged rims (scratched) – small marten damage on the antenna To this one has to say that I already had an appointment with the Dekra at the beginning of December.   • R171 BJ 2004 – Watch out for what?

    Hi, I have the possibility – through a friend – to get a SLK relatively cheap – about 600€. The SLK R171 BJ 2004 has approx. 110.000km, automatic, was driven only by an older lady, only long distance and is completely checkbook maintained. I have driven it myself already several times and I really like it very much. Only the sports seats, at least on the driver’s side, I find something uncomfortable (but good hold!). Otherwise it is really super fun in the curves, performance fin I don’t really notice anything noticeable when driving, but I don’t know how to do it so well either. Everything is a little bit tricky, but no more than other convertibles and fully within the frame. However, I noticed that the window lifter works on the driver’s side without any problems, but when driving up, the door shakes something. What could that be? My question is now before I buy it, what I should pay attention to. Is there anything that I need to do? How durable are such cars? 110,000 seem a lot to me at first, but are not so much for the car, at least according to what I read.

  • Some questions about miscellaneous….

    So, after having carried out the weekly all-around carefree package on my car today, some questions have come up to me. This is the following: 1. What does a repainting of the bonnet cost? Unfortunately, I have no one who could do this for me, and I don’t want to latch anywhere without an appreciable specification. The price range (or bullshit) is quite high nowadays 2. Before well 4tkm my engine oil was changed….Today I checked the oil stand times (cars stand berei ts 1 hour) and the oil stand is good 2-3mm above the max mark! Do catalyst damage already threaten here? Let off some oil again (for safety)? My engine consumes only half a liter of oil on 15tkm, that would take a long time until it is in the “normal” range again…. 3. Recently there is a blow out of the engine compartment if I suddenly hit the gas (comfortably only in the 5th gear!). Defective engine bearings? If yes, what costs material + change? Make yourself easy? 4. Why ge Is there a logical explanation for this? It’s the case with me, and then again. As if the radio would do this at the start as if it were in a mood……. 5. Last time someone had opened the thread with regard to his oil measuring rod. With me today this arrest (where the staff comes in) is stopped …..   • Axle carriers rusted through

    Hello, I ask for your help. My Clio 3, BJ 2007, 75 hp with 70,000 km no more pickerl. Main problem according to the workshop: Achräger (front carrier) rusted through. Oral offer for repair was almost 1000 euros, with repair lateral handlebar bearings right (cracked out), repair brake line back (rusted) and exchange brake fluid. Workshop says, this is so expensive because it gives the axle carrier only original from Renault and is the piggy expensive. Unfortunately I don’t get a written KVA. I did a little research now, with the name front carrier I find nothing. Now I put myself in the front of the car and took photos. Can you please tell me which part this is? Aktull with driver’s license bonus approx. 6200 EUR I wanted to go to the travel enduro area. For years I found the BMW 800gs beautiful, but without having ever really sat on it. Now I sat on the Triumph Tiger 800 … and I fell in love … Price approx. 9100 EUR … Now I stand between the chairs. Should it be a new bike at all? How would you finance such bikes?

  • You’d rather go on a motorcycle or not?

    Hi together I’m new to the forum and 16 years old. I’m riding a 50cc scooter for the second summer and screwing around, touring with friends and generally everything on the scooter makes me very much fun. The first summer I was already obsessed with it. I can imagine that riding a motorcycle would be at least as much fun and that the driver’s license would be worthwhile and so on. My problem, however, is that my mother tries compulsively, like in the scooter driver’s license, You can even hear phrases like, “If you really want to die when you’re 18,” or “If you’re severely disabled in the hospital, I won’t take care of you and send you to the home.” (Normally, it’s not like that at all, but it’s really funny on the subject). Is probably because my uncle had a serious accident many years ago and has been physically disabled since then. I find scooters are more dangerous than motorcycles. I have to decide in the next few weeks.. soon start with the car driver’s license and then I would make the 125 moped ticket with it. (This can be extended later). What do you think.. is it really so dangerous? Should I rather wait until I am older? After my mother’s standing talk, I am always quite unsure about the topic. r happy about answers! LG Splashy
