Sometimes you just have to borrow a car for certain purposes, because you don’t have one or that which is not suitable for the purpose. My question: How can I protect myself for a damage that I financially cover when renting a foreign car (especially from an acquaintance) if it comes to a damage/accident due to my fault. Private liability: A private liability will probably not take this risk (or would it be unlikely) ? Sixt and his consorts offer seperate comprehensive insurances…) Is it possible that if I rent the car from my friend, I can insure somewhere if I myself are in debt with an accident. Damage by reclassification: Well the damage (which might go into the millions in theory) would be limited by the insurance of the vehicle owner. But certainly I would have to replace him with the car himself in the event of an accident and I have to give him the increased liability premium over a year. The damage would not be immeasurable due to the insurance of the holder (since I think that also accident is insured by foreign drivers), but I would certainly add a few thousand EUR in damage amount for the mentioned reclassification. I would be grateful for a practical regulation like one of the acquaintances to borrow a car. This question has been on the agenda for a long time. and would like here at last a final answer. Moin, recently had a bang and I turned off from a main road into a 30s zone about 35-40kmh and had a distance to the parked cars with at least 80cm. about 3 m before me one of them is tearing his door almost completely to “bad in cm to estimate” and rams my kötfkögel + couple of scratchers on the bumper. Hello, I hope someone can help me with my problem, because I don’t really know how to do it. Because I just don’t understand it (1 % monetary advantage, 0.03% regulation). I accepted a new job. The new employer offers me a company car that cost me 28,000 euros in the new value. But he is already 6 years old. My gross salary is 2700 euros. The distance to the workplace is 45 km. My wife (who also needs a car) and I have two relatively new cars. A new car, with first registration in April 2009 (with scrapping premium purchased for 7900 euros) and an annual car bought in January 2009 for 8500 euros. Now the employer says I can use my car and get 0.30 euros for every professionally driven kilometer (not for the way to work) or the company car. However, I still don’t know if and how the petrol and any repairs are paid. Privately I would use the car until work , due to the second car, use little. Then of course I would sell a car with loss. Hello everybody, in December someone drove me in the back when I was standing at a red light. (Accident was clear: the other one was to blame.) Then I brought my car into a free workshop. This then also commissioned an expert, organized a rental car and repaired the damage. Was all so good. Now I got a letter from the opposing insurance company that it is not ready the expert costs as well as the costs for the M In your opinion, these are disproportionately high. What should I do now? It can’t be that I still have to pay what after someone drove me in??? I have left everything organizational with the insurance, evaluator etc. simply to the workshop in the assumption that it will probably know with the procedure in such cases. So… what to do now? moin gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanz stupid thing! this morning on the way to the registration office I’m a nice lady on the back of it. totally pillepalle, number plate bent and who comes up at the zafira from the victim n scratcher in the stupidest fall. I guess the speed at 2 km/h who ever. stupid thing at all. even dumber but the situation that the box still had its old numbers and was still allowed to the old owner. I was just on the way to the amt…15min later the cart was allowed on me. now the question: from WHEN is the car considered insured on me? from this morning 0hr? so was the eimer theoretically already allowed on me? I ask so stupidly because I have a very “inner” work relationship with the owner (btw a business colleague whom I know for over 10 years already) and I don’t want to make him any worse. that I pay the harm myself because nothing really will be wild is also asked except. I would old just like to take over completely myself because I also screwed up.
