  • OT: Funny story happens, tips desired!

As the topic says… I let my mother out of the back door earlier, and 2 minutes later the dog starts to bark excitedly. So I went down to look at what happened. I see my mother standing at the door completely disbanded. I then naturally asked her what’s going on; she: I just got in the car, key in, car on, automatic on D and off. I am at risk there 2 meters, look and think I don’t really see. `NE MOUSE ON THE ARMATURE BRETT AND GU CKT ME WITH THE BEING KNOPPES My mother screamed everything together first, out of the car and then came back to the door. I also bent myself to laugh at the first time Then I went to the car to look where the little girl is, but she was no longer there. Either she died in horror or we have a problem. I bought 2 live traps first and placed them in the car. And now my question: What else can I do? Has this happened to someone? r Tips open!! But please don’t say put in a cat and wait. I have already thought about it, only we are allergic to cats. Oh yes is n Audi A6 2.5 Tdi Avant and now with the special extra: mouse!

  • Lie down because of gasoline pump and then still ABZOCKE?!?

Hello, so this happened to me. Yesterday on the AUtobahn my car went out suddenly (suddenly no more gas accepted) – and also in a construction site. I then informed my Vers. for protection letter, which then wanted to send a tow truck by. Also I called the police and my friend – which also arrived at the same time before the tow truck. So we dragged my Audilein (which blocked the right track away until the next exit. After the test by the towing service, I was told that it was 90% the petrol pump. So we had the car charged and brought it to the next Audi workshop. Since there was still the mob guarantee on it, we should wait for a moment whether they can repair the vehicle or we can get a rental car. After perhaps a quarter of an hour the master came and said that it was the gasoline pump and we could repeat the AUto today. The towing costs The mob.-gar. does not take care of it, since we did not call Audi for towing – I only had the old 0130 number, which is no longer available, but we don’t tell anyone. Today we picked up the car again and it almost hit me off my socks – almost 325 EURO! What surprises me – they also charged me 26.75 Euro + VAT for “defect diagnosis engine”! HALLOOO??? May that??? – is the purest rip off. I only knew that so far, d if you have to pay for a fault diagnosis, if you don’t have it repaired then. But if you have the repair done then the workshops usually do without it. Besides, there was no estimate! And the diagnosis petrol pump is even on the towing protocol, which we also gave to Audi. Otherwise, the fault diagnosis would not be included in the mobility guarantee, if you are already lying down? Or is the pure rip-off from the car dealership. I am looking forward to some information/feedback! Best regards Nicole

  • New rear tyres, replace front tyres as well?

Hello, I need your advice. When changing wheels, I noticed that one of our Hankook winter tyres (DOT 2714) was flat (0,35 bar residual pressure). I was able to verify a pressure loss of approx. 0.5 bar / day by filling up several times. Today I am then to the tyre dealer (Euromaster), unfortunately the cause was not found there, it was probably not on the valve. Since the tire sowiso had only 5mm profile and I currently have little time, I have closed two new Goody I now have to decide whether I should replace the front tyres (e.g. Hankook, approx. 5.5mm residual profile, also DOT 2714) in order to have a uniform tire again. Frame data: Peugeot 308 SW Built 2010 HDI110 109 HP, 157.000 KM 205/55 R16 Driving profile: Daily Driver, approx. 25,000 KM a year, daily 60 KM in Stuttgart surroundings, sometimes side roads. In the Alps it also goes by car. In general, in front of the car still have at least I’m afraid that the remaining Hankooks will have to be replaced after the season. What would you do? Keep Hankooks or also convert the front axle to Goodyear? Best regards Mathias

  • Longitudinal groove in Pirelli Winter soaps

Hello together, when the winter tires were raised, it was noticed that the two rear tyres (all-wheel) on the inner side have a “rille” that doesn’t belong there… Has anyone seen this before? It’s Pirelli Winter Sottozero in 225 50 r17 RFT from 2010. We wanted to use the tires after the winter because of the age in summer.

  • Current all-year tyres for small cars …your experiences, opinions and direct tyre tips

Currently I am still looking for a suitable all-year tire in the size 165/65 R14. Other Corsa B and Tigra sizes may of course also be here. I would like to ask you not to write over winter or summer tires but only about all-year tires, otherwise all will be too much! Whether a tire was bad or good, cheap or expensive, loud or quiet, bad or good in dry, wet, snow or ice…here everything can be in the thread! Durability and verb I think one or the other will find it interesting. I see the Corsa B as an inexpensive intermediate solution for my part. So I will drive about 12,000km/year and be less in snow areas. Think for the next 3-4 years the tires should be and I think good values are important for dry and wet in the summer as well as satisfactory values for snow and dry/wet in the winter. Now since you started…

  • Do you have to raise aluminum wheels?

Hello community, am new among the car owners and come with a maybe very stupid question, which the Internet but also research could not answer yet. I have an Opel Corsa, on which are currently summer tires with steel rims on it. I now want to make the winter tires on it, which lie in the basement, and next to it there are 4 aluminium rims. Now I thought a tire change costs so about 30 Euro, but they want now 94 Euro, which has probably to do with that, that one the Aluminium wheels have to pull on the winter wheels, right? So the second question: Can I just leave out the aluminium wheels and use the steel wheels that are currently mounted? Would that be cost-efficient? Does not want to spend 200 euros per year for tyre change. And why didn’t the previous owner of the wheels just leave the aluminium wheels on the winter wheels, then they would not always have to be refitted.?

  • Tyre selection Golf 7 / Summer tires

I bought a Golf 7 TDI BMT a few years ago. It is an annual car with 17″ Dijon (205/55/17) tyres. Currently, the Golf M&S tyres have been raised. Since I find that the Golf 225 tyres are significantly better, my plan is now 225/50(45)/17 on aluminums in the next few days to buy. Now 2 questions about it: 1. In the COC (EU) paper there is only one entry for the current tyres (205/..). Where/how can I find h whether / which other sizes can I buy and raise for the golf? Where do I ask for or how is this general approach? 2. I find that the golf (highline) is very comfortable on an uneven track, but I feel it is very “smoky” in curves. Does this have to do with the current tyres (high cross-section and M&S) or can the 7 highline generally be “floating”? Many greetings and thanks in advance!

  • ATU – Put tires on rim – duration?

Hello, two weeks ago at an ATU-shop near me, tires to pull up on aluminum. These were ordered in the online shop and delivered to home. Charge is June 2016, was already good. To the rim: BJ 2002 14 inch 175er.. I signed there a confirmation and now wait for a call that I can finally pick up my finished tires. Until today (or yesterday) no one has reported yet.. I have some slight concerns since I don’t even have a wipe with have received, in the form of a copy of the order confirmation.. Has someone ever had the same and knows about how long this takes with them?

  • Mikuni HSR 42 a real improvement?

Hello, since I am currently working on my Fat Boy Bj.: 99 (Evo) with my original carburetor (with Dyna-Jet) adjustment problems, I am considering whether I will save myself the next working hours for adjustment work and add the Mikuni HSR 42. Does this bring a noticeable improvement? Do you really want to keep the original filter for optical reasons (and because of the coal). What do you mean??? Or can you get a good performance from my carburetor and save money? Thank you, Thomas.

  • TC 88 turns extremely high when starting

Hello guys, maybe someone has had something like this before: Today on a tour after approx. 200 km noticed that the stationary gas was slightly higher than usual. I still thought: Maybe the throttle clamps … so first home. There after approx. 1.5 hours (machine was properly cooled down) times joined. Gas train tested: no result. Runs clean, and moves the throttle shaft to stop and back. Adjusting motor for the stationary gas adjustment at cold start also drives correctly. See if the throttle flaps move correctly: Do them. Starting the engine: Engine turns immediately on “full gas” when (quasi) closed throttle flaps (feeling): immediately killed. The engine also started hard, usually the machine is there immediately. In a warm condition even better than in the cold. As mentioned above: TC 88 in a RK from year 2000, i.e. Magneti Marelli injection system. Does anyone have an idea how to circle the error? Can such a symptom by defective injection nozzles occur? Questioning greetings
