Hello dear motor talker, since our Golf 4 after 330,000km now demands his well-deserved retirement I am looking for an alternative. Key data: Budget: up to 15,000€ EZ: from 2014 KM-Stand: less than 100,000 prefers under 70,000 petrol compact class or small cars (sometimes except smart, up and co. and no combo) desirable: Automatic (definitely no need) hazards will be about 20-25k km a year with relatively little highway a lot of highway. So no absolute PS monster must be. Had already looked towards Mazda 3, but there still seems to be the topic rust. I hope you have some great tips and ideas for me. Thank you!

New car and the handover of the dear vehicle letter
Hello together, sometimes accepted person A gets his car delivered in May. She ordered it in a large branch office and the delivery takes place at the German manufacturer. The vehicle is paid by bank transfer. The seller said to person A: “We send the letter before delivery to her registration office and there the letter can be taken after registration. If it cannot be taken, I get it at the delivery. One day before extradition, how is the post office supposed to send the letter back so quickly that person A receives the letter at the time of extradition? 2. Question: Can person A really take the letter home after admission? Has anyone ever experienced this before? Info on the sidelines: According to the seller, the letters are ALWAYS sent to the registration office, whether financing or cash payer.

Buying advice Diesel or petrol
Hello together, I have read useful information here in the forum for years and decided today to make an account because I urgently need help. It is about buying a new vehicle. I will soon start an apprenticeship and the job is unfortunately a bit far away, so I would have to drive 50 km back and 50 km every day. In other words, it is 100 km daily and 500 km a week. About 20 km would be highway, and the rest is 20 km inland and 10 km rural road. Diesel problem I am very undecided which is exactly the right solution. Either I buy a petrol truck and have my rest despite the extra consumption, or, I buy a diesel truck and hope that I will not get any driving bans in the area. I think that this year there will be no bans anyway with the Euro 5, since you are certainly on the safe side until the end of 2019. My budget is between 6,000 and 8,000 euros. It could also be something more, then I would have to However, since I own a BMW 318i with 143 Facelift, it would be strange for me to buy a new car that has less power than my BMW. However, this one consumes between 9.2 and 9.4 liters inside. Have looked at the Astra/Corsa, or the Corsa E with 95hp diesel. But from a BMW to a small Opel would be a big step backwards for me what smooth running and processing was about… Which car would be in question, but which has enough power Now buy a diesel (Euro 5/6) with the problem that I no longer come to the city center? In theory, I would have time with the Euro5 until next year or the end of 2019 until the Euro 5 would certainly be banned. But this risk is clearly too great for me, and a big waste of money… What car would your recommendation be? Greetings EmanLF

Successor Audi A4
Moin, this year my A4 2.5 TDI is to be replaced, although the motorization is not very popular I have to say that the A4 has held on really well until now. However, I don’t need or want a diesel car anymore, the A4 still has Euro 3 which is not very helpful in the near future. After 5 years Audi I want to look around towards Lexus – Toyota. My first car was a Toyota Avensis which accompanied me for 3 years without a shortage(although I have the s With his only 110 hp he was a little too weak on my chest, then changed to an A4 1.8 TFSI (chain problems, oil consumption), then on the 2.5 TDI. Spontaneously I would have thought of it as a solution for the 2.5 TDI – Lexus IS 250, 208 PS V6 petroler – Lexus GS 300, 250 PS V6 petroler – Lexus GS450h, 296 PS V6 hybrid petroler Lexus should play in a separate league especially in terms of quality and durability If you are allowed to cling to “internet reports”. At about 10 – 12 000 km a year the fuel consumption is rather secondary. As a budget 10 to a maximum of 13k € are available to me. I am basically not dependent on a contract workshop, can use here a few capable mechanics. But I am also gladly open for other brands, German “premium brands” fall out for me, I had now for 5 years than daily – enough. If someone himself one of the Lexus Mode of course, I would be very grateful about it! My regards Daniel

3 beginner cars to choose from and already headache
Hello as I wrote above I have currently 3 vehicles to choose from! Drive them my son (starter), who in turn has no connection to cars and learns out from summer! Which in turn means there should be as few problems as possible! Ok, that this is not excluded again in the price range up to 5000 € I know itself. But at least this should be minimized as far as possible according to experience values! So now the 3 candidates: 1: Seat Ibiza 1,2L 12V 3cylinders from 20 10, with 130000 km on the speedometer. However, at 94 000km ne new machine came in, that is currently 36 000 km on the clock! I guess on defective steering chain, but I can get that out on Saturday. 2: Renault Clio III 1.2 from 08/2009 with 83 000Km 8 times tired, top maintained, discs/clusters rear/front new 3: Ford Focus 1.6 (101PS) from 06/2009 with 122 000 km. First impression: Top maintenance condition, no rust! As far as the theoretical data is concerned! I can also say nothing about the whole chassis problem (lager, bushings blablabla…). All candidates move at the same level in price! How would they decide? Best regards Sven

Car with power potential by 800€
Hello community, I’m looking for a car up to +-8000€ and would like to do something about the engine later on still performance-wise (chip, downpipe, possibly exhaust system and LLK). Age doesn’t matter and displacement should not necessarily be over 2,000cc and so up to 160-230Ps series. I would plug in as much as 250€ and would be nice if it were then a low 6s to 5,5s time from 0-100. And it should already be a turbo engine from home. Had so on 1.8t`s and 2.0 with K03/K04 Loader thought of by VW Group but also with Japanese I am not averse. Grade with older like Nissan 200SX etc. Otherwise the rest doesn’t matter…the overall package must fit. MFG

Charging pressure indicator ?
Hello @all, For about 2 weeks I have the following problem. Model 9-5 Aero Sportcombi EZ 04/2003 with Sentronic. The charging pressure indicator has 3 areas – green – yellow – red The full speed up the display is only slightly above the yellow area. In the “normal” / “sport” or manullen mode of the Sentronic. That would not be tragic if I did not have the funny feeling that a few pens would really rest in the stable. Should this charging pressure indicator in the “normal case” not correctly anze or can you label this ad as “nice to have”? MfG JürgS

Expensive financing at 24.
Hey am 24 & would have asked n if you would do it the same way Currently I have n 3 Bmw running over the BmW bank, purchase price 32k & more than half is paid are still 15k open. With a sale I get about 23-25k for it so I have at the end still 8-10k „profit for the next car. Now the question, I wanted to get a C8 Corvette for about 106000€ , i.e. the amount from the other car as a deposit + 5k own capital. The monthly rate I would also make 1,2-1,5k there I only have fixed costs of 300€ with a earnings of 2.8k net rising. [Job is 95% safe for the future] ) In 4 years this would be 72k + the ca 15k payment € which are already paid off then. prefer n higher rate instead of I spend the money so. [Once money there is usually out ????] Outlook into the future is not planned own home or children since I can theoretically live at home free of charge for which I am grateful [own floor] Since I would save the money anyway I’d buy a car like this doesn’t make any difference if I’m enjoying it now or only right in 4-6 years? Vlt changes my future for home after the years but there’s nothing planned since it’s supposed to be for the car tbh. Did you just want to hear your opinion like you think ??. Would you do it the same way?

Car purchase agreement invalid because of remaining complete payment instead of rate?
Hi together, the following situation between buyer and seller within the family. Private car purchase, which is recorded in writing in the purchase contract, with a standard form from the Internet. (Mobile/ADAC/etc.) The whole was agreed in instalments, which were all paid so far, monthly. There is not a single delay in payment. 1/3 of the purchase sum has been paid with the rate. The remaining 2/3 are still outstanding and continue according to the contract with the rate. gbrief was with the buyer, because of registration etc. was forgotten to give the seller back into his care. Is of course not good and cuddly, but because of lack of time and new job. Now there was a dispute and seller demands the vehicle letter because he was guided to remember for the second time. (Understandable) There was a 2 day period and the buyer reacted because he did not want to stress any more by transferring the remaining full purchase amount (The 2/3 still open The next installment would only be due in the following month. The seller now claims to want to sell the car, because by paying the complete remaining purchase sum (2/3), which he wants to remit again to the buyer the contract would be void. Because indeed on instalments was agreed. Of a special payment or closing rate nothing is in the form. The contract itself states “The vehicle remains the property of the seller until the full payment of the purchase price.” He wants to keep the car and is dependent on it, had various costs already (repairs, insurances, maintenance etc.). Is the contract invalid/invalid because the “rate payment” was broken by complete transfer? Can the seller sell the car, although there was no payment delay as soon as he has the vehicle letter again? And that is what the contract would be void of? Can the buyer insist on the instalment payment as soon as he has his 2/3 Retrieve?

Purchase advice – New or used cars
Hello, we currently have a Passat 3BG Variant (BJ 2004 – last version) as Trendline Family. This one still has TÜV until Nov 2017. In the near future the following is probably due: – new set of summer tires – new set of winter tires – possibly clutch – cold start problems of the vehicle can be analyzed – rust on the trunk flap of the Variant mileage are approx. 100.000km. We got last year family offspring no. 2. In place we currently just get there, in the K now we could get a new VW Touran 1.2TSI for approx. 25-26 T EUR with some equipment. The new car is really great and would suit our needs with the children well. Now we are really thinking about whether we should take the money into our hands (via financing) and buy the car or drive the Passat 3BG still until at least the end of the TÜV period, well known Do you have pros and cons, experience reports or decision reports for getting the old or buying a new car? Thank you very much!
