  • Motorcycling all year?

Hello together. Just to the background of my question: my wife and I have run 2 cars in our family. I drive 30 km daily to work with my golf. My wife works in the same place and can easily ride the route by bicycle. Purchases and other minor completions are done by the second car. We now consider abolishing a car. I would then be able to drive the motorcycle to work as often as possible. In the case of snow and ice, of course, I ride on 4 wheels. However, I would also be partly on the road. Of course, I would not like to expect my BMW r65 to do so. A r1150r would be intended for this purpose. Does the moped suffer from bad weather in winter or is it due to the corrosion like in the car? Are there good helmets, which do not fog in the cold and what is the situation with suitable clothing? With what insurance, tax I have to reckon about with the machine? The r65 costs almost nothing. It would be great if you could share your experiences and opinions with me. VG Markus

  • Brake pads original or accessories? And valve adjustment.

Need new brake pads for my ZRX 1200S, which are not yet down, but squeak in front, that the neck hairs stand up. think also that those are already glazed. What am I going to say, original or from the accessories? I have read somewhere that Kawasaki has changed the pads of squeaking because of. Which would you recommend and how high is the price difference to original? Point 2 would be to set the valves, the buck now has just 24 k km down and would therefore be fälli g. However, the motorcycle is 19 years old and I don’t necessarily want to put 800 -1000 euros into the old car. Has someone experienced with it and can tell me if the valves are really so much different that they are outside of tolerance? Yes I know that adjusted valves can lead to engine damage. But my motorcycle is always driven sensibly warm and never turned out. My Z1000J did the grapple at the time because probably someone has done crap at the time. Of course, you can’t prove it afterwards and was at the Kawa dealer who messed up that. So, of course, I’ve got some muffin. Are there only fussers on the road these days and I don’t have the skills to work for them. A colleague told me that nothing had to be done with his Yamaha Xj 900 after 60k km.

  • KLX650C starts only with bridging

Servus with each other, I signed up here in the forum, because I’m starting to despair. I’m going to pick up a little bit further and describe how my problem started: About a year ago it started that my KLX warm no longer starts. Cold, however, still perfectly with Choke. On demand in a KLX group I then set the valves and the problem was fixed for a short time. -> I thought that the valve play is too small and thus a valve in the warm At the end of the season, however, the problem came again, so set valves again. Outlet side was a bit too small but not a big difference. Unfortunately, the expected result stayed out now and it still did not start warm. However, rolling up worked. I got a tip to bridge the motorcycle, see that warm starts perfectly. -> 3 new batteries tried out, however, did not bring any success, meanwhile it starts I charged all batteries before installation. Voltage usually drops to about 10-10,5V when starting. Charging current has the Kawa in the normal range. In addition, I have already changed the ignition coil and spark plug. I have already checked connections between starter and battery. I have already found several forum contributions of this kind, but none of them has led to a successful result with feedback. Would be great if someone could help me.

  • What small car?

Hello first of all to this forum I am now 20 years old and have been feeling for 2 years and 2 months. unfortunately I have to ask myself because I could not really find something for this purpose. I will be serving civil service from november and at the beginning of my (hopefully) training in the next year I will buy a car. the question arises: which? so my priority criteria are: – purchase price max. 4000€ better below – fuel saving petrol – lower insurance ngsbeitrag – low taxes – relatively low mileage (how much is ok with such a price?) – cheap spare parts / repertures – no car prone to the whole history still a few questions and namely: 1.) I would insure the car via my father. he already has a 2nd car. can one still take a 3rd car into the insurance? 2.) if yes, how much % and euro in the year would be expected (he drives car without accident for 30 years)? 3.) is e right s that well-known “young cars” like corsa or golf are very high in insurance? if not the corsa would be in my tighter selection. at the moment I can’t remember anything anymore. I ask you to give me some suggestions and tips and answer my questions, if that is possible. thanks already and friendly greetings lame

  • Purchase advice 25ccm

As the title should already tell, I’m looking for a scooter.. “Yes, nice, many do,” I think now probably.. So now to me and my priorities.. I’m 15 years old, I’m currently doing the 25cc driving license and looking for a mofa to a certain budget. I’m unfortunately a bloody suspect and don’t know much about the matter (is still coming).. I’m looking for a scooter that is 1. suitable for big people like me (1.87m).. sat already with a buddy on the Aer Ox and that’s not possible at all! Another friend owns a sax or so similar in any case the model RX1. It’s definitely clear on that. 2. a good acceleration has since I live in Osterode a.H and there are some places here where I will come to stop.. 3. also open (No, not now.. but later as it will be for me (with class B) legal) has a good performance and also someone can ride on it at the back. 4. to buy in a radius of 200km I live in Osterode am Harz 37520, Lower Saxony and hope that you might help me to choose a scooter because I am, as I said, a bloody beginner. 5. I didn’t run 15k or more because I still want to have some more years of the scooter.. My budget is just under 1,000Euro.. however:”just less, all the better!” Thanks for your help and nice evening even more

  • Scooter doesn’t start or very bad, Flex Tech Fun 50, it’s starting to piss me off real

Hello is the carburetor sitting on the cylinder or combustion chamber, or what do you call it ? sorry In any case, the room always runs full of gasoline so we don’t start. If you loosen the screws and pull the carburetor up a bit it starts. What can I do, control, renew ? Or knock the whole scooter into the ton. Slowly the muzzle full. Has only run 4000 km. gruss

  • REX 125ccm; Open CDI 125 .. ? More power ?

All the one Rex 125 ( RS 1000 ) driving, and he thought he could drive 100, to be told; Is ́not ! Max. speed 79 KM/H Who really thinks to buy a new CDI on the Internet( I was once so stupid!) does not do himself a favor, because, some do not work at all !! I had bought a CDI, was exactly described in the catalog, but it did not work ! Look after several times back and forth, in and up Old /New, not . The old funtioned, the new This REX 125 / RS 1000 is throttled and, as some others have already said, thought more or less in the city area. There he is good at it and it is fun, But as soon as a Landstr, or a four-lane train comes where 80 or 100 are allowed, Uff, fear, one heavy truck after the other,,,,,..!!! I hate it! I also wanted to drive BAB, but with 78 KM/H, laughing and fire dangerous. Greetings to God Jürgen

  • Oil from the exhaust, where does that come from?

Servus together, before 200km I have mounted a new cylinder, scooter drives 1A (Aprilia Sr 50 WWW with carburettor). But: Although the carburettor setting should be correct and the candle is brownish, it smokes out of the exhaust and it also comes out oil. The question: Where does this come from? When I assemble in the cylinder room I did a good sip of oil to prevent a clamp. Can that be that after 200km still is not outside?? t set, right? The oil that comes out of the back is relatively clean (i.e. still honey-colored). Since the scooter otherwise drives well, you can exclude the carburetor, right? Thank you
