  • Workshop Marderbiss Problem

The following case: yesterday (Monday, 27.2. 9:00) we bring our vehicle to a contract workshop for guarantee work (control chain), appointment was fixed. Yesterday evening (against 17:00) comes a call from this workshop, the car would not drive any more. They would have changed the control chain, but the vehicle would not have met r. Reason: the ignition cables would have been destroyed by marten bites. They could fix this, of course, but that would cost about 200.- again. Nix guarantee. Now ask us the following questions: we drove the car there yesterday morning. Not pushed, not towed. They drove there (obviously) the vehicle into the workshop, because otherwise the call would probably have come rather, that it does not run anymore. They changed there the control chain – there you should start se What to do? Vehicle is an Altea BJ 2010, 1.2TSI.

  • Appraisal assesses the comprehensive damage

With my current vehicle there is a suspicion that it is an economic total damage. The vehicle is about 10 months old and has run about 11500 km. Now my insurance company has commissioned its own expert. I do not like in any way!!!! During the damage assessment I was present and came to the conclusion that this expert may not have covered hidden damages. Another point of dispute was the fixing of the workshop hour. For the calculation the workshop hourly wages of the free workshops should be used. A brand workshop can be significantly higher. For me it would mean: The report is not correct. The total damage will be smaller. Under certain circumstances it will no longer be a total damage. If the damage in a brand workshop is repaired the damage would be significantly higher again. If then a total damage is possible again. However, I have nothing of that. Background: I don’t want to have the vehicle repaired. The higher the damage or a total damage would be very pleasant to me. There should be as small a residual value as possible on the vehicle. I wanted to invest the entire amount of damage in a new vehicle. Then the VAT will also be paid. Even if the vehicle is not repaired. On the other hand, the insurance expert cannot prescribe the repair shop. In addition, he would have to use a flat rate for hidden defects. What kind of legal leeway do I have? Has anyone already gained any experience with such reports.

  • Decision?

Hi guys, I’ve already suggested a couple of cars in a previous thread that would be quite good. As of now: I’m 18 years old and need a car for 3000-3000€. As cheap as possible in maintenance. “Performance” minimum 100PS I’ve set myself on following vehicles VW Bora Limousine 1.6L, 2.0L both are type 16 so affordable. VW Golf 1.6 (105ps) also type 16, the 2.0 (116ps) in golf would be type 17 a little more expensive. Would that be worthwhile or yet then A bora is actually a golf only “luxury” if you can put it that way. Is the difference between the 1.6 and 2.0 in the sense that you would say the 2.0 in any case? I read that the one swallows a little more oil but that’s half as wild. Besides, I also noticed these cars: Seat Leon 1.8L (125ps) also type class 16. Almost the same engine as in the golf. Passat B5 1.8T (150ps) also type 16. Power for the same price in the insurance, however, swallows a bit more. what do you think is the best choice? Please also explain your opinion perhaps with your own experiences. I personally have been waiting in the Bora, but your answers are waiting. Look forward to your statements.

  • Summer tyres in the right size or winter tyres in the wrong size?

Moin Moin! Until today I thought we could get there with a car (so far we did), so only one was equipped with winter tires. Now it turned out that the day after tomorrow (25.12.) we need two cars. The rides can not be postponed. Car 1 on suitable winter tires will take my treasure, I have to resort to car 2, car 3 does not come out of the garage, if it rains in Iceland Since we did not expect to need two cars now, ste If the car 2 is still on its summer tires, I still have winter tires on the original steel rims, but they are in the wrong size. More precisely: Entered are 185/60R14 and 175/65R14 M+S and 195/50R15 in conjunction with these aluminium rims, the tires on the original rims are in 175/70R14 M+S. How would you trade?

  • Wrong equipment in the report and sales contract

Hello, My Auto Astra H GTC 1.8 has suffered a total damage. (200% of the replacement value.) If everything about a lawyer only the expert has been commissioned by my workshop. Now I have an offer from the opposing insurance or an authorized company that should check the report and receive a better purchase offer. I have of course agreed to the offer because it would be 300€ more than from other buyers mentioned in my report. As far as so good, jetz However, I noticed in the sales contract that the equipment, as well as in the expert report itself, is not correct. According to the expert’s report, what wouldn’t be used would be: exterior / interior mirror with automatic glare, interior mirror with automatic glare, windscreen wiper with rain sensor and audio system CD30 (radio/CD player) (was replaced by the previous owner for a CDC 40!) Of course, I covered all this only when I wanted to send the contract back. from Monday. What can I do now, because that would be selling fraud. I also don’t know where the expert has the data from, because a mirror with abblend automatic has below no knob to hide to manually salutes the Spessart

  • Car sold to Poland, now comes buyer with alleged damage

Hello! On 20.08.2019 I sold my Audi A4 B8 Bj 2009 via mobile to a Poland. He took him after five hours of journey and a short test drive around the block. All right so far… Yesterday the news came suddenly via WhatsApp that the car would probably have had a hail damage and the whole spatula would have torn which he now has to repair for 300,-€. I was not aware of any damage, I have the vehicle with 90tkm in 2011 and now with 200tkm sold and visually no fahler seen in the paint. He now threatens to come by tomorrow by car, after he offered we could do 50/50 and later even went down to 100,-. Of course I did not consider it, especially since it would have been the easiest for him to send pictures of the damage, he did not make and I also do not want to ask about it. I assume that this is a trick, in order to pay even more money in the following ommen. Have you heard of this before? What if the guy is really standing at my door tomorrow? Does he somehow have the right to demand something from me? Even if I don’t assume that he can return the money to the gas station right away to drive home.

  • Conti Sport Contact 2 – all 4 tires torn all around!

My Continental wide tires are all four all around on the inside (to the center of the vehicle). They are the original tyres of the MB sports package for E-Class (front 245, rear 265 width). The tyres are still good from the profile, in front I still have about 6 mm, back about 4 mm profile. The employees of the MB branch noticed this by chance and refused to drive with the Fz. I assume that it is a manufacturing or material error. If someone already had the same problem, please ask for feedback. Greetings, E-Gerri.

  • Winter tyres according to Appendix II 2.2

Hello, in the above-named system is the M+S tires are winter tyres. Now the tyres with the spikes with us are also M+S tires (with an E17 (in the circle) Does that mean now when I drive to Germany I can leave the spikes on it again? I know that in Germany up to a strip (15km) to the Austrian border the use of spikes are forbidden or were. But in the new § 2 Abs 3a StVO reference is made to the EU guidelines. However, there is no exclusion from Spikes tyres! These are M+S tyres within the meaning of Annex II No.2.2 Council Directive 92/23/EEC of 31 March 1992 and the other directives listed in Section 2 abs 3a of the StVo. I believe that there are 2 §§ in the StVo itself.

  • Charging indicator

Hi I have been driving a DS 7 e-tense for a few days, 300 hp. Purchased as a demonstration car with 1000 km. Instead of the promised 58 km, the charging condition shows only 21, 27, 32 km after 100 per cent load on different days. I realize that at current temperatures it could not be 58 km, but I would have expected at least 40-45 km. Is there something lazy? or is that normal?
