  • Finding a workshop

Good day to the forum, question from a new member and first-Volvo owner (me), who has 2 left hands (as far as cars are concerned) and who lives in the south of Munich: Does someone know a workshop in or around Munich, which I can trouble with my V70 I in the case of cases? I have a V70 year 1997 with 160,000 km of running performance, stitching, 2 previous owners bought. Looks good, feels good when driving, and I have already fallen in love with something (although it still stands at the dealer, the elk)… Unfortunately no full equipment. Speak, partial leather seat etc. Also old radio in it (with cassette), here I am still looking for a way to find an original radio from Volvo, where my iPhone 4 is running… At least I dream about it. But is another topic. It is important to me the workshop. I can show the elk once and who tells me when to do what is why and where. For tips I like to do. Munich – Starnberg – beautiful area!

  • A catasrophe, just for strong nerves!

That’s really embarrassing! How disoriented must be the guy who did this, is actually even worse. Angucking at your own risk, risk of eye cancer threatens! Click here, but don’t scare, just for strong nerves.

  • Knows someone in legal matters from the topic of car purchase (used vehicle)

How is that with used vehicle purchase !! Must all defects be given to ? Or can seller deal with purchased as seen ? Or no guarantee ,withdrawal ! Talk out ?

  • Theft protection V70 in Poland?

Hello, on Monday I’m going to Lithuania and Poland for a few days. My uncle told me to remove a relay or a fuse in the engine room every time I park the car. Does one of you know what to pull out of the car? I think something that will paralyze the starter, right? Ohso, I drive the V70 D5, model year 2002. Please answer until Sunday evening;-) Thank you:-) G.

  • Wat ik always sach, the people of VOLVO just don’t get it…

yes, what I notice again and again, the people, here in the first place the responsible ones, do not understand how much economic potential is in the portemonaies of the “old car drivers”. Many of us have complained here about the bad handling of our wishes, be it with the “friendly” or be it directly with Volvo. Instead, the new cars – buyers are engrossed and tinkered. If one of Volvo reads here: Here is a nice article about what youngtimer owners (old car drivers) spend for their cars and if I do it with me, I actually come to similar amounts. Who else? That was the comment on the weekend Beautiful greetings Paul

  • Internet scrap for the 850

Hello Did I buy the following parts for my 850 TDI on the 5th of October 2010 via the Internet (Ebay). Crossbars, coupling rods and trackbar heads. On the 1st of April 2011 I was called by my madam, who had “broken off” a wheel. Cause: The supplied screw was simply nibbled through in the short time ( 10th of 2010 – 4th of 2011) by bolts of the crossbar (triangle handlebar). See picture 3 After expansion I put in total strong corrosion on both screws (the other side was also already knabbert). Likewise, the bolt of the triangle handlebar was already strongly corroded. As a comparison I have photographed another bolt ( picture 1 ), which is already for years (!!!!) the weather law. Picture 2 shows the installed bolt after only half a year. I have already written to the suppliers… one would like to return the parts so that I can provide replacement for myself……a new screw?? and who replaces the torn out drive shaft, would only have been able to make the damage?

  • Turbo whistles

N’Evening I replaced the open air filter with the normal one last weekend. With the open air filter one hears the intake duct extremely well. But now I noticed with the normal air filter that I hear the turbo from 2200 u/min. The turbo whistles when it is at the druecken. Unfortunately I can’t remember if this is normal or not. Can it be that the turbo has a leak somewhere? I also noticed that the loader has an oiled bit. Can this also be due to it? (I doubt it, but don’t ask a problem) I have the 3 dunen loops, which go to the small distributor at the air filter box almost 1 year ago. I don’t think it should lie there.

  • When does the guarantee run?

Hello, Unfortunately, I can’t find an answer to my question quickly. Drive a procedure, which I picked up from the dealer 09/22. The car was therefore registered a few days before. According to the glue on the first page in the service booklet, the car was handed over to the importer at the end of 08/22. The glue basically says: guarantee start 31.08.22. the car was registered on 05.09.22. I picked it up on 07.09.22. The service info in the car itself is dated to 05.09.23. When do the 12 months start to run until the first inspection?

  • Do these feathers fit??

  • Too high temperatru at the XC 70 with trolley

Good day together I’d be very grateful if someone could help me with my problem. I’ve had an XC70 Jg. 2003 for 2 months with 40,000Km. Two weeks ago I went on vacation with the car and my trailer (1200kg). I drove quickly over a pass that was quite long (passenger ride about 1 hour). After about 3⁄4 hours the warning triangle turned yellow with the message “Check transmission”. About 10 minutes later the automatic transmission turned off and also the Geartronic did not work anymore (i.e. I could no longer manually switch). At the automatic transmission the engine was apparently not cooled down again and the machine works again. Then the warning triangle turned red with the message “Check transmissions” lighted up. Then I parked the car and called the breakdown aid. When this arrived the engine was apparently not cooled again and the machine works again. Just the yellow warning triangle lighted up with the message “Check transmissions” lighted up. Then the breakdown broke my car service then. Now the engine update was burned up and the engine changed again.
