  • Engine does not stop

    My Kia Carnival VQ 2008 185hp Diesel causes problems after changing the fuel pressure sensor, it no longer starts and the screwdriver has not done so in the last 6weeks. I have read that a filter/seven should be dirty with the pre-shipment pump on the tank…. Kia does not get so well with the sulfur in the diesel. In order to get to the pre-shipment pump on the tank, I have to expand the tank or I come there so to look at it? I also read that the high pressure pump could be defective, but why… because then so suddenly because only one sensor was changed? I always had the error message fuel pressure too high…. with rapid acceleration, driving mode was not affected. If I had turned off the car and after 30min. started again the yellow lamp was off again. Who could help? Greetings Thomas

  • Motor oil for short distance, heat exchangers and funny sounds…!

    Hello, I have 3 questions in my luggage. First of all I mostly drive short distances and if possible also extra times long tours. On the safe way I want to be there with a motor oil which fits to that driving profile. Which can I take there? I30, petroler, 1.4 109hp Second, for the same reason, I would like to install (let) a water/oil heat exchanger? Which do I take? Can I also install it myself? Third, I hear ratters from the engine room, probably the Control chain? Is it possible to reset it? How much does it cost? In addition, the car smells quite strong and loud like a coke can? What could that be?

  • German employee with French company car in Germany

    Hello all, I received a new service car from my new French employer last week. This car was also registered and insured in France. The company has no branch office, or similar in Germany. However, I will mainly move the vehicle in D, as I will be working here from the home office. Now the problem. The French insurance company probably said that the car should be moved abroad for a maximum of 3 months not to cover insurance. Is it possible to have the car insured with a German company with French registration plates? A registration in D is not possible, because the company has no seat here. I think there can also be problems if for the car no car tax is paid ?!? I am a bit perplexed, maybe someone has had a similar case before?

    I have looked at my car insurance the last few years. If I calculate this, I get about a tariff premium increase of an average of 4% a year. I know of my residential building insurance that there is a construction price index that takes into account the rising construction costs. What is this in the car market? What is the cost increase real on the market? Sometimes quite rough out what I mean: A VW Golf cost 20 years ago e.g. 20,000 DM. Today a VW Golf costs 20,000 Euro. However, since I had to state the damage to the pre-insurance insurance here, they classified me back to the SF-Class 3 (51%) – I can see that at the moment in the customer area.   • UNFALL in the NEBEL, What comes to me?

    Hello, I happened on the New Year around 1:30 am accident. I drove into a fog wall and I have already braked, on the highway an accident happened several cars were already crashed in I was with approx. 60-80kmh more or less into a standing empty car which was on the left lane, with the car the lights were off I only know that I have recognized the car of approx. 3 car lengths while I have already braked in front of the fog wall but everything was too late, as ic h driving into the car police was already suburban or involved in the accident 2min later also my car started to burn and has set fire to another car Now I ask myself all the time Who is generally guilty? Or am I just that? I know that here no accident expert is but vllt. has someone so what lives through My car has set fire to another car has to take care of my insurance costs ? Opposite has already registered My car is standing at the ADA C partner with a total damage, stand fee 13euro, I was 4 days in the hospital at 10days it already makes 130euro.. I want to scrap the car now cost point 50euro, can I get that ? Or do I have to come expert/public prosecutor? I have liability!   • SLK 230 engine is not running properly

    Hello dear Motor-Talk municipality I bought a Mercedes SLK 230 (BJ 98) with 111000km a few days ago. Today I was on the highway and had to find out that the car has at times little power and only about 180km/h runs but then suddenly runs completely normal again from one moment to the other. It seems to me as if someone would turn the power on and off again at the push of a button if you understand what I mean by it. The vehicle was also about half a year, maybe it has something to do with it? What I still noticed was the verbauch. On a short distance (max 10km) at low temperatures the vehicle used over 100km a good 21 liter. On a long motorway ride with 120km/h only 7 liters. Is this discrepancy normal? I think the consumption on short distances seems quite high. I hope you can help me further. Thanks in advance

    Moin together… Some of you have noticed that my dashboard at Impala is gone after the blast I got news from Sweden, they have the part there, but I have to cut it out myself. So we’re going to Sweden tonight (we’re stupid,or ?) Well, anyway, the junkyard looks really delicious.   • Summer tyres for the Seat Leon 5F FR 2.0 TSI

    Hello together, For 10 weeks now I have my Seat Leon 5f as 2L TSI with 190 horses and 7 gear dsg. Since tomorrow I plan to buy new rims for the vehicle (19 inch) I still need good summer tires. Since I have absolutely no idea about tires (had always only all-weather tires so far), I wanted to ask which tires would be recommended for this motorization. Since I currently only have standard 17 tariff with 205/50 all-weather tires on it and the tra I would like to use something more high-quality. A colleague of mine recommends the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, because they make it possible for his Astra opc to have a very good grip on the front axle. Nevertheless, I would be interested in which tyres the community can use and recommend in this way.
