  • Performance curve 2.8 V6 – a dream

    Hello. On the weekend in a newsletter I saw the performance curve of the new Aero engine (2.8 V6). Between 2000 – 5000 u/min (almost) the maximum torque is available. Min. 340 Nm are available from 1750 – 5500 u/min. This of course also very late the maximum power (P=M x n). The engine should be very wet. The engine is from the paper values THE throw.     Does anyone have infromations about what changes to the model year 2006 (it will be changed again in May?)?? In the convertible, the ventilation nozzles are supposed to appear back, the cupholder and the coin compartment in the center console disappear. In the configurator, the Aero Cabrio of the surround trim appears as “serial equipment”. I don’t think the latter, as this is only available for a few colors.

  • Need urgent help tires at pickup

    Hello people, at the end of this month (30.01) it’s finally time. I can pick up my new Leon in WB. But now I have the following problem: I travel by train (tickets are already booked at great conditions) and I am extremely unsure about the tires. The car is delivered on summer tires, however, it may be that at the end of the month there is snow in WB. I can take the tires badly in the train…. ts in the garage. What would you do? Would you drive with the summer tyres (come from near Mönchengladbach) and hope for good luck without incident or how would it be done? Is my first new car and therefore also the first pick-up in WB.     Hello together Attention, I have no idea of cars. …just so in advance I want to buy a new (used, annual car or similar) car. Somehow everyone tells me something different. I drive 20000 km a year for work (almost only motorway) and then still private something. The Tsi allegedly consumes 4.9 l and has a 6. course. Is this also so with the consumption when I drive on the highway 140? Is this the 6. course good? Or do I have to drive with the tsi 100 to the catalog consumption to come? Or does the diesel make more sense because it has a bigger machine? I hope I have made myself understood?? I would be very happy about your help

  • W126 Built 83 on G-Kat?!?

    Moin, my neighbour bought a W126, 280 SE and now has to pay 700 € tax. Of course this raises the question, is the installation of a G-cat possible. He has nothing in it now and to my knowledge this is also the mechanical injection system in it. Does one of the present know how much one has to expect with such a conversion ( if possible )?? So installation, Tüv, etc.

  • 1 1/2 RD 80 and 1x RD 250.

    So . I have next 1.5 RD 80 , disassembled , at home lying around .. but the engine is 2x with piston eater available . There is also a RD 250 , where “only” the gearbox is broken and the tank rusted through . Now I have heard that the old models of Yamaha are very compatible ..there I thought that I either: – the RD 250 a RD 80 transmission and tank miss – or the RD 80 the RD 250 motor .. (does the carburettor also have to be replaced ?) it is possible this part I just want to build a “fun-machine” and stay as cost-effective as possible. That various seals have to be replaced, ignition candle bought and work on the carburettor is clear to me. My father has the possibility to hone the cylinder in the work.. but the coating is the expensive. What do I have to do if I want to repair a piston-eater ? -buy a piston kit -buy new seals-cylinder honing and coating .. is that the Everything or other things are coming up?
