  • What’s the use of your truck?

Due to the ongoing debate about increased fuel costs, I would be interested in what your trucks consume minimally and maximally, as the consumption can often be reduced by predictive driving, please give a few tips. So I start with the start: I am currently driving a Scania R 380 with Opticruise 40t outward drive Empty return Fully unloaded terrain Central Germany Consumption 26ltr/100km minimum consumption 23 ltr max Consumption 30 ltr/ 100 km

  • STVO and other obligations in France

Good day girls and boys, I’m the new one and want to expand my horizon in this way.Next week to France, Spain and England will also go. It would be very nice if I could benefit from the experiences of the French Trucker. What special features do I have to expect if I cross the border with the truck? Is there a side where everything is legal? But I also care about the organization on the parking lots or rest areas. I know this with rain with Li If I’m right, the speeds inside are 50, highway 90 and big thank you in advance Jonny

  • Omega A – Air Compressor leaks to high/low pressure lines

If you think it’s OK, there’s a new problem. Today I noticed that the rubber sealing rings for the high and low pressure lines are leaking on the compressor. The screw had loosened a little bit and I can’t get the sealing rings close anymore. So empty the system, renew the sealing rings and fill the system again.

  • Control!!!!!

Hallöchen, I had this week’s control, I drove on the federal road was 2 lanes and ran a bit tough I was on the left lane had just overtaken another colleague or was just a driver’s house driver’s house I see in the parking lot in about 100m n police standing with a cell or at the delay strip, when he looked at my truck I knew I was on it now …. he TANZELTE between the other VEHICLE vehicles until he stood on the middle strip, held me the ke lle and showed with the right hand on the parking lot, when the good man was already started I already flashed right …….. the policeman then blocked the right track that I could drive to the parking place …. there it started then, the policeman climbed up first and wanted to read digi tacho, haha yes scrapt I still analog (breath) then started: driver’s license, vehicle tickets, licenses etc pp after all this was okay further tachodisk please … so well my 28 days passed out and those of the current week (3 piece), then he went into his bus and after 30min he came again he said there you have to watch bits with the speed and so on but otherwise everything was okay. then he started to measure mature profile was also everything okay to the right ripe of the trailer the was FAST finished, then he got his rollerboard went under lkw, has the brake discs touched on driving tracks, shock absorbers looked at etc, and to close the staple I’ve got 22 pallets of food, 18t, then we’ll open the page, all right, I’ve opened the page and he’s scared!!!!, over every 2 pallets 1 belt, so every row is properly belted…. then we came to the end of the control for almost 1 hour, (now why I ask) I need a week and a holiday report that I know on Saturdays and Sundays. don’t drive to it he wanted to get horny, then I said I’ll lead it to my cheff and then it’s okay. I called my cheff and he said we don’t need something like that, what’s right now???

  • Me and my 147. A hate/love relationship…

Hi guys. My 147 and I have now again ne kriese Many will remember that we have recently brought a dark time behind us… Somehow it doesn’t get better. To better understanding I count on what we have been through so far. We found ourselves in 2006 when my 147 still innocent 80tkm had on it At about 130tkm then the first shock, Koilbentipper. Engine was completely overhauled, cylinders drilled up and oversized piston used. B 180tkm at the front the lower crossbars were replaced so much all shock absorbers. But I value this as normal wear. At approx. 200tkm I had to renew all the cats because they are crumbled. At approx. 250tkm the gearbox has gone away and was replaced. At approx. 265tkm front all crossbars were replaced plus track bars. Now at 272tkm my steering and an ignition coil has gone away. Servo oil loss in the area of the right fold bellow. So new steering. Steerings are currently not available so a new part has to be taken… well, for my little one only the best intermediate by of course some wear parts like timing belts, brakes and such a stuff however is normal. Meanwhile the underbody was already quite gammeln. However, because I still have about 3-4 years to stay faithful to the car I have had the underbody completely resealed. As you can see we already have a lot of perseverance. I still stick to it still the Car to drive for about 3 years because I don’t get any more for the car but it gets harder and harder… Only if I look at the car I could fall in love with it again and again Even if it is used up and worn out. Is it so much that doesn’t break everything in the time what CAN be broken? In addition, the oil consumption is unfortunately not the lowest. But well, I’ve already used to it… Nevertheless, I ask myself the question so slowly whether “we” still have a great common future… But I think if I get it back at the end of the week I will probably fall in love again, at least I hope that for my 147 In the sense, for the next three years. Cheers

  • Every year again: low engine temperature Alfa 146

The engine of my Alfa 146ti (EZ 2/96) gets very warm and only max. approx. 65 degrees (after >10km). The heating is also hardly appealing. What does this look like with your Alfa 145/146 ? When I bought the car from 2 years, the problem was even bigger, because I had at -3 degrees outside temperature max. 50 degrees lt. display. At that time there was still warranty on it, so the dealer has the Therm ostat changed, which made it a bit better (even the above described 65 degrees). Since that was still too little for me (especially because it takes a very long time) I made a complaint again, but I was told that this would be normal. Here in the forum I found some posts, in which low engine temp. was written, so I took it that way. If it gets really cold outside, however, it bothers me considerably ( unfortunately I didn’t have a garage, i.e. car is outside). This year I wanted to tackle the problem even before the big cold. Can it be that the dealer at that time did not exchange the thermostat at all as claimed, but otherwise “repaired” like (e.g. bend up) ? I would have a new thermostat installed if I knew that the problem is gone, but of course have no desire to spend unnecessary money (how much would I have to expect there ?). Are these temperatures with intact thermostat normal (the engine takes 10 km to the 65 Is there any other tips on how to get the engine warm faster ? Thanks and greeting Thorsten P.S.: Motor will be in the city in summer up to about 90 degrees and in winter about 80, so display should be ok.

  • Mannol 10w60

Hello everyone, I hope I’m not stoned the same way… It’s about the mannol 10w60. I stumbled over it on eBay and wonder that it meets the same standards as Castrol but only costs half (Api / Acea) . Where is there (founded) the catch? This is purely of personal interest I already have my oil It would be great if no answers would come in the direction like “just take xyz and don’t ask so stupid – because it’s just so…” Sorry also for d en oil thread but I found nothing useful in the search

  • Omega B – X30XE – Does such a chip tuning make sense?

Hello, at Ebay there is a chip for 25 € to buy. It promises with the MV6 +20Ps, +35 Nm and -0.5 L consumption. Installation should be very easy. So you ask yourself…why not? But does someone have experience with this or a similar chip? What negative consequences could this have in the long term?https://www.ebay.de/…/380115869740 Thanks and greetings.

  • Oil pressure problem

Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me here…. I sold my faithful 850 2.5 20 V and now I get a V 70 II 2.4 with 170 HP and hope it wasn’t a mistake. He has a few problems where the biggest oil pressure is. With a cold machine everything is ok, as soon as the oil gets warm the valves clapping from about 2200 rpm. If I take some gas away, the valve drive calms down. But as soon as I give gas again, the clapping will be louder. From A to B….. under 2000 rpm. Alerdings I was yesterday on the highway and a little faster ( 140-150 km/h ) with once the valves were quite loud and I slowly took away gas, then came the message : No oil pressure engine shut off. I did so too and waited about 10 minutes. After that I drove slowly and the message did not come any more. There were no mechanical noises except the valves very quiet. So today oil and filter changed….The oil was dark and The filter had set its task long ago. In the lid of the filter I found mud and metal abrasion. The oil trap also siffs a little. I cleaned the solenoid valve as far as possible. Everything reassembled and test drive….. On the highway again the message. No oil pressure engine shut down and previously loud clapping the valves What can it be? Exitus or half as bad??? For tips or concrete tips. I’m grateful… Oh yes..it doesn’t work that right in comparison to my old 850……….despite the same engine power mfg
