I like car from the 80/90s, where cars were still designed. I’ve had an 89s Supra (MKIII) as a hoppy car for 11 years. But there’s a lot of work going on in the near future and it’s no longer an everyday car anyway. Since I’ve always found the STS/TC ́s class, this is the commonplace for me now. I have a few questions about the Cadillac. Hope you can help me. With the problems with the cylinder head screws: Does this affect all Northstar V8 engines ? Are there years of construction where this occurs particularly strongly, or are the chances always equally bad. Is this such a bad thing that you should plan this repair directly when buying? Why does the 93 STS 305 hp and the 93 TC 294 hp for example? Are there not the same engine? Is it possible to convert these engines to gas? Basically, I tended to go to the Eldorado Touring Coupé. ́95 Cadillac – very bad brakes – workshop gives up !!!
Hello, I have big problems with the brakes of my ́95 Cadillac… The brakes of the vehicle were slowly getting worse, so that I commissioned a workshop to install new brake pads in May d.J. After that the braking effect would be even worse and from about 80 km/h a loud howling noise was perceived in the right front part. The workshop then again took apart the entire front brake system, cleaned and assembled, as well as a brake fluid Nothing, still very bad braking effect, which expresses itself as follows: You can push the brake pedal slowly and very strongly through to the bottom sheet with the running motor. Also, if you step into the brake quickly and vigorously, you get the tires not to block (or the ABS does not start at all). Speak… fucking brakes. Then the wheel bearing was changed to eliminate the howling noise in vain and the main brake cylinder was renewed. h all brake hoses and pipes. Again no improvement, rather worse. Now I put the car in a Cadillac workshop and it was then found that the ABS pressure control unit is defective, it was replaced and again nothing… So one has the assumption that the new main brake cylinder was installed defective/wrong and this was replaced again by a new one and… again nothing. After 4 months of workshop stay I was suggested that possibly a I have brought my Cadillac back home because I think that the brake booster has nothing to do with the braking effect, but only with the braking force in the pedal. I am now a little bit at the end with my Latin and have ordered from the USA. Brake pads to do anything at all… Someone of you professionals an idea ? Greeting Frank
