  • Direct comparison SL 350 and SL 400

Hello, does someone have concrete experience in the direct comparison of the 350 and 400, especially in terms of pull-through capacity, switching down during acceleration etc? Theoretically, the 400 should allow a noticeably superior driving. Unfortunately, I was not able to drive a 400 and must speculate. Specifically, I am concerned with the purchase decision, to order another sales 350 or the new 400. I am grateful for experiences and advice. cardio8000

  • 50,000 km a year – Dacia?

Hello! Those who know my threads know that my Opel Meriva 1.7 diesel is more in the workshop than I drive with it. I bought it a year ago with 139,000 kilometers, now I am at 193,000. Just now I got a workshop bill over 400 euros again, and I think that I should get rid of the box slowly! My consideration is what comes next. Either buy a cheap used one again, and accept this again constantly. The new Logan MCVhttp://www.dacia.de/dacia-modelpalette/the-new-logan-mcv/ was very pleased with the optics and the consumption. The new price for the maximum equipment (diesel, Navi, Alu, parking pie, electric windows, on-board computer, so everything that Dacia offers) is about 16,000 euros. You can finance over 5 years, after the 5 years he then has 250,000 kilometers, which a Renault diesel would actually have to endure. I would be interested in whether someone has experience with Dacia and can say something about durability. And if I am generally correct with my theory. I find that as a second car you really don’t need a new car, but with the mileage in the year you can usually drive used only 1 to 2 years… Please for your opinions!

  • Torque vs. power – at the Arona 1.5

A topic for the technology nerds among us (in this case I don’t count myself): How can I get past the truck faster: If I set up at 80 km/h with 1,500-2,000 rpm, or if I switch to the 3rd gear before that? I guess, the latter will get me ahead faster, right? Otherwise, a VDU would not switch back at the full-gas-geben in the above mentioned range…

  • Dometic RF 60 Experiences with & without Froster

Moin! What experience did you have with a Dometic fridge RF 60 with and without freezer compartment? I got to the sample an WITHOUT freezer compartment, which cools in the empty state yes like devil, will fill it today still with various full bottles to determine how it behaves so when it stands there without electricity. I hope you can tell me something about the type. Greeting tabbertklaus

  • Water in the RV

Good evening dear community. Since March we are proud owners of a Peugeot j5 RV. Before we go on the 17th on holiday I tried everything again and noticed that if I change the pump switch for the water. The water comes out under the RV. That would be the overflow. Is there a switch or valve that you have to press before to pump in the other direction. Or can it be that the predecessor has connected the hoses upside down? Pump was dry for a short time and in the tank I filled only about 5 liters. Greet Kevin

  • Parking in settlements?

Hello WoMo fans, have no WoMo – but a similarly large vehicle like a caravan – a Peugeot Boxer (similar to Sprinter) with 5.9m length, 2.5m height (high roof) and approx. 2 meters wide – so far my parking has always been tolerated – although disheartened – since I now carry a 2 tons suitcase hanger with me – all neighbors become hysterical when I park in front of their houses, obwoh the road is wide enough and I do not hinder anyone – there is no parking ban sign and also enough space My Peugeot is registered as a truck and commercial. I would be interested in the legal side – can I no longer park as a 3.5 tons truck in settlements on the roadside? Is there a law that I don’t know ? Thank you for every hint. Greetings from the Frankenland Dirk

  • Farewell from the Forum

Dear friends of the SL-Forum, after a long time of thinking and considering, I have now separated myself from my SL. However, due to chronic back problems, I could not really enjoy it any more. He will still remain my dream car and I will keep it in good memory. I gladly read it here in the forum and also wrote the one or other post. Unfortunately, I was not able to keep up with many contributions due to lack of technical competence. h about the mostly fair way of dealing with each other and the prompt answers to all possible questions. I think I will miss you a little bit, but I can still read along. Because I have been doing my business trips with Europcar vehicles for many years and it is usually an Audi A6, I have discovered my love for Audi over time. That was also one reason that I decided to replace my SL for an Audi Q5. Please jetz t don’t stump the nose, I know, but it’s just comfortable. Next week I can receive my SUV (senior and damaged vehicle). Greetings Richy
