Hello, yesterday I had my new winter complete wheels pulled up. Somehow the whole doesn’t look so harmonious. The rim protection of the tyre does nothing here, because the rim is above the rim protection. Has someone an idea what this is about. I had first thought the tire would be too small – but the tyre size is correct. As a comparison I have attached a picture of the summer rim – everything looks great! Thanks in advance.

Escort tournament 16V BJ 97, problems mt used car warranty
Hello! Ford Escort Tournament 16 V Ghia Automatik EZ: 01/97 KM: 95140 90 HP Gasoline Hello I have had an escort for 6 months (approx. 6000 km of driving power) (data see above). I bought it from an Opel dealer. From the beginning, the death of a cold engine and the “rescue” of the automatic was claimed. Div. Ignition settings were changed and the ignition cables changed. Nothing really succeeded. Before 150 KM the drive was broken (drive train). Lt. the workshop was a complete used automatic transmission replaced. Here the guarantee takes over 100% work and 60% material. After approx. 150 KM the car has stopped again. The turning roller (?) of the timing belt is broken. Timing belt is OK. But the Ventiele are bent etc. Hander estimates 1400 EUR repair. Now the problem. The used car warranty refuses to pay. Since the customer service (all in the checkbook) has not been made by the Ford workshop. Thus is not sure The master of the Opel workshop thinks that the parts look very good and have been exchanged with high security. How do I best proceed ? Thank you!

Connect tachometer
Hello, I got a Ford Escort 1.4 GAL for my 18th birthday and already a lot of it converted and tangled around, but now I am facing a problem. The Escort had no tachometer and so I built in a new tachometer with tachometer, but now this tachometer still doesn’t function. Could it be that there is no connection between the tachometer and the measuring station? Also I would like to know where the line to the tachometer I would like to see a picture of the engine compartment or something like that, which explains the connection of the DZM. Gruss Bloodfire

Magnet broken in the gearbox?!?!
Hello Motortalk community! I’ve been having a problem with the speedometer for some time now with my Audi Cabriolet B4 year 1996 (speed meter, daily kilometers and mileage do not work). I now switched the dealer (2 times), measured all cables and changed the AI test by test. All these components work. With the dealer of the Audi 80 the resistance (Ohmmeter) has to commute between infinite and zero and in the gearbox provokes this up and down a magnet. m encoder attached in the gearbox and let the car roll a few meters and nothing happens at all. No on off but only constant infinite resistance. Did anyone have the same problem before and what exactly can be broken there? Do you have a plan from the gearbox?Do I have to change the whole gearbox? Thank you for your efforts and greetings, Manuel

Audi 80 2.8E freewheeler
Hi, I already wussed through the Sufu (which did not spit out anything concrete) but did not come to a clear result. Audi did not give a change interval for the timing belt for different models ( ́visibility check & exchange in case of damage) so to my knowledge also at the 2.8E. My question now, can someone tell me here concretely whether this engine is a free runner. I’m just on it to change my zr. (have already nen contitec da , wait only for d he WaPu. Clio A 1,4l bj. 92 runs only on 3 cylinders
Hello have bought me a Clio Bj. 92 with 75 Ps. The cylinder head gasket was broken and was driven with it still a few km. Head gasket I renewed oil and filters are also new. After the assembly it ran only on 3 cylinders. Ignition sparks is there with all cylinders Also compression has it evenly. Only unfortunately it does not run round, exhaust bubbert something. What can this be about? About fast and helpful answer I would be very happy.

Hello, I have a huge problem. I found the rims HP Design Perfect 10 on the Internet. Homepage HP Design I got the strength report and a vehicle certificate in which the rims are registered and went to the examiner. He meant it would be no problem so I bought the rims. Then I went to the examiner a second time and had an appointment given me because I wanted to get the rims close to the TÜV appointment. he looked at everything again and said again that it is ok. So now I had my rims covered and balanced, drive to the examiner and he says all of a sudden he made himself smart again and it is not possible. :'( What should I do now. I paid for balancing 80€ , for mounting 25€ and for the screw set 40€. (And of course for the rims + tyres over 1000€) Now everything should have been for free … what should I do?! I am very grateful for every answer .

2.0 GTA with lots of KM
As already written above I think about buying a Mazda 2.0 BK. The cars are now really cheap with approx. 4000€, but have already 170-200.000km on it. Now my question have the 2.0 chain problems? How long do the chains keep from the engines? Are there any other known engine problems? Gearbox? Unfortunately you find very little to the engines the 1.6s should have been far more popular.
