After some time I noticed that he was e.g. at red lights, so generally in idle time starts to run more restless and to tuck, like a trecker. But I didn’t think about it yet, because it was quite discreet and also seemed to have gotten better. Then it came again and became worse. A little later I noticed that the tuckering didn’t go away even when speeding up. Finally it was so bad that I had to stop at a bus stop. Then I realized that the engine only runs on 3 cylinders after all. But then I was still smiling home, was not far away. Since then it is there and doesn’t want to run on all fours… sparking comes on all the candles strongly. But I can’t remember the fourth thing about pre-compressioning. I can’t just say that I can’t have a candlestick.

Hello guys, It’s again about my smart fortwo 451 coupe with 71 ps, built in 2008, 34500 km with three previous owners. I have the following to say: 1. When speeding up, a rattle can be heard from behind. That sounds like my golf 6, where the back bearing on the clutch is defective, just not so doll. Is it easy to hear even when driving from about 15 kmh to 40 kmh. Furthermore, I have discovered an oil stain between the gearbox and the drive shaft on the right side. See photos 1 and 2 My questions: what could be the causes? Do I have to change the rings of the lights? And could this hang together? 2. I have discovered an even larger oil stain on the actuator over the gearbox. The oil seems to be quite fresh on such a cap. See photo 3. My questions: What could be the cause? Can I drive with these fixed positions for a long time without hesitation?

I gave the darker side in the direction of travel to the front, so I pushed the frame with the foam borders back into the box. Is it possible that he is sitting there diagonally in it, say on the driver’s side a little further behind and should you feel there next to it a free air channel? 1007 has speed and starting problems
Hi there, my 1007er had a clacking/schepper under the bonnet at some point. A short time later I was at the oil change and I was told that the Lambda hangs after Kat only loosely. So much to the clapping already before the oil change the car began to get problems with speed fluctuations in the stand (700-1100) and occasional starting problems (rubbing/sudden gas adoption). The Lambda probe was screwed in again, but nothing changed. In the error memory nothing is stored. Can the Lambda nevertheless have a defect, because it hangs loosely and always has been against everywhere during the ride and therefore these problems come? Further I often read something from throttle valve, coolant temperature sensor and LMM. But I found the first two but I can not find an LMM under my bonnet. Do I not have this one? LG

Rattles during acceleration
Hello, last weeks I bought a Smart ForTwo Passion, 52 Kw, first registration 01/2009, with 87,000 km on the clock. Now I noticed while driving with open window that there are strange noises, similar to a chain rattle, when accelerating. These noises do not occur when giving gas in idle. The car drives also flot and switches properly. It is check book maintained and got an oil change with synthetic oil 5W40 at 85,000 km. I read on the internet that it can quite come to a rattle with the 451 smarts. Do I have to worry now? Or should I just drive the car further? Good morning. I know that this topic has been addressed here many times and I have read everything about it, but all the tips I found did not help with it. Situation: 2 weeks ago I was running on the highway and then pluupp was the power and I only came to 80 kmh or accelerated on it at snail speed. Procedure: I saw some solutions on the Internet and carried them out: -turbochargers completely changed with tube. -Zündkerzen changed (were slightly black) -low pressure ventilation valve changed -cylinder compression tested (all ok.)
