  • Only 500 rpm for the first seconds, with restless run – what is the cause?

My SmartDiesel 450 starts in the first seconds of idle with only 500 revolutions and runs restless. After a few seconds one hears a switching noise, and the speed goes to normal. The problem occurs regardless of the temperature. Interestingly, the problem can be solved almost always when I activate the booster function of the charger. This increases the battery voltage to 15–17 volts, and the motor starts up 9 of 10 times normal without the switching noise. It feels as if the engine is slowed down by the starter, air compressor or the alternator – then the additional load dissolves and the engine runs lighter. The higher voltage seems to significantly improve the start and is repeated effectively. If it does not immediately go to idle speed, it does so after 1–2 seconds, instead of otherwise after 4 seconds of pulse. I exclude classic faults like cooling candles, because the problem occurs independently of the temperature. The engine has power => is healthy: It needs 1–2 seconds longer from 0–100 km/h than indicated and reaches GPS-measured about 134–135 km/h.

  • Smart 451 rear axle got a hit

Hello together, yesterday my daughter thundered against the edge with our Smart. Shortly afterwards the tire was flat. The vehicle was left standing. In the afternoon I drove there with a spare wheel, changed the wheel and drove the smart home. At home I noticed that the wheel is not “normal”. When comparing with the left side, I then came to the conclusion that the axle must be bent. Question: is there an explosion drawing or similar, where I can see the parts of the rear axle, so that I can order accordingly? Or does someone already have this behind them and can call me the part numbers? My Smart: 451, Built 2011, 71PS Thank you in advance for your answers.

  • Strap cuts into the neck

Maybe someone has a solution. I don’t want to put on my seat belt anymore, because it “cuts” me in the neck side. Unfortunately, you can’t adjust the belt and take the belt out of the rail, does not solve the problem. The belt is constantly rubbing along the neck. Not very pleasant, as you can imagine. Does someone have a solution ready? I think it’s the same for one or the other. In conclusion, it can’t be due to my size. I’m 1,80…What are just small people doing in the smart. That’s where the belt has to be almost at the head!?!!?

  • Omega B 2.5 V6 – Krummer exchange

Hi, after long abstinence I am just thinking of buying another Omega B. So far I had an Omega B 2.5 TD and an Omega B 2.5 DTI. Now I could get a cheap Omega B 2.5 V6 (EZ 09/1997) from first possession, completely stocked and garage vehicle. Of the Omega B 3.0 V6 I know that the complete engine has to be out there for a truck replacement. What about the Omega B 2.5 V6? Is it the same there? I don’t necessarily want to buy the cheap purchase price due to high maintenance costs. Unfortunately, in the Sufu I found nothing concrete about this.

  • remodeling armature board and facer front

Good evening dear community, I have 2 questions for you… 1. I’ve got this leather look from the armature board and the doors and something boring… So I wanted to stick it with a good 3d carbon foil. I wanted to ask if someone knows what I can take the best for a substrate…so something like silikon (which I can do on this “leather” and what remains “emollient”) just stick to it. And please don’t tell me to take the door pads from the facer…I want to keep my living room feeling… 2.I wanted to replace my front bumper with the one from the facer. Maybe someone has the stuff of what I need to lie around and could you offer me? Maybe also the decorating of the facer? For the combo… Achso: does the roofing strongly contribute to stability? I wanted to remove you… and I don’t know quite because of safety in an accident (it can hit anyone) Many thanks in front of it With friendly greetings

  • What is the extra consumption from 205 R15 to 225 R16?

Greetings, I have recently been the owner of an Omega Caravan 16V (built in 1997), because my loyal Ford Focus was faced with a big repair that is no longer worth it. I have already been told that the Omega is not a savings miracle, but I also don’t drive soooo much. However, the space for my 2 children and prams are already great. Unfortunately, the summer tyres, 2 of which were not good at the time of purchase. They have to be exchanged. Now I have an offer for 4 aluminium rims from an Omega Facelift with 225/55 ZR16 (6 mm profile) summer tires. Aluminium rims that were included in the purchase are 205/R15. Do the wheels from the Facelift also fit on my old Omega? The seller can’t tell me anything about this. And in which area would the extra consumption lie? Can you guess that? LG Rebecca Rebecca

  • MV6 Öhm, exhaust gas in the oil?

Hello, I just had a strange experience. Our station wagon has to get a new ZKD. Therefore it is hardly moved until all parts are there and I come to the repair. From time to time I have to drive it just a few meters out of the way. At the same time just the engine started to smoke like crazy. On the one hand it boiled quite well in the balance tank (clearly) but also exhaust gases from the oil filling nozzle. How for God’s sake do exhaust gases come there? Do I have to fear to have lost a piston now too? VG Mathias

  • Motor ringing at the acceleration 1800 around.

Hello dear Opel friends, maybe you have had some advice for me????? I changed from A Omi to B Omi a month ago ( 2.0 16V ), since then I’ve been screwing up a lot more :-(….. I have the following problem, the engine rings quite bright when accelerating from lower speeds. So, I first changed the candles…no success Today I changed the tap sensor and almost broke my fingers… 🙂 but the success also stayed out. Funny about it, when I disconnect the plug from the tap sensor, people after a few seconds the engine light and the engine probably switches into the emergency program…..and then nix rings more, even when accelerating from lower speeds… the engine runs really nice round!!!!! Can you please explain this to me????? Is the ignition somehow switched, or a lead from the tap sensor flips…. or is my ;motor slow?? It’s got a lot of fun now?! Can you tell me about it??

  • Smart 451 mhd, ask about the V-belt

Hello, I recently drove a Smart 451 Fortwo mhd Coupe 1.0 with the HSN:1313/AHN, year of construction : 07.2008 and km-stand: 120000km Unfortunately I have been busy with the problems of the mhd after the purchase(error!)… By reading in the forum I now know that the belt can break very quickly and therefore a motor damage can occur (if you don’t turn off the car directly etc.), which I want to avoid as well as it is only possible! The Smart had 2 previous owners and is maintained up to 80000km check booklet. Unfortunately, I noticed in the inspection of the magazine that not a single time the wedge belt was replaced. The last previous owner did not do this either. I therefore want to go directly to a Smart specialist and sign the thing, now to my question: Should he only change the wedge belt (review) or there are still other things he should do? I also read something with an update. What I have done is a smart center error to contact you then, there was no problem call for you.
