Hello, I had a “small” accident in which I got to the guardrail during an evasive maneuver with mine. I scratched the box from front to back, of course. It hurts, the box did not have a (larger) scratch. Now there is money from the insurance company of the causers, however, the repair would have exceeded the value of the car. So now I have thought of having the damage done with Smart Repair, ask me only if this is possible at all with the resulting damage. Above all I am concerned about the paint, the dents are not so wild. (SIEHE BILDER) Do you have experiences with Smart Repair ? (of course also related to the costs) Bzw there are other alternatives to the classic “new-painting”. (e.g. new doors without scratches from the scrap metal, partially paint, even improve themselves?)

Ignition failure with humidity and warm engine
Hello, I’ve had a new login to the forum because I didn’t find anything in the search for my problem. I’m driving a Twingo Gordini GT for 4years with the 1.2L 75KW turbo engine! My problem started in the summer after a car laundry and a following 60km highway ride at high speed: After about 50km the motor electronics switched off on emergency program and the yellow wrench lit up for the first time. The engine lost about 50% of the line and I stopped in the next parking lot. After the visual inspection revealed nothing, I started the engine again, the Kontrll light went off and I drove the remaining kilometers with about 150km/h without problems! Two weeks later I came after longer, faster AB ride at high temperatures into a traffic jam and the problem occurred the second time! When I drove now just a few weeks ago with Niesel rain again the 60km BAB with about 130km/h, then the known problem occurred when I was driving in the Hamburg city area. For the first time the engine ran very rough and also took off bad gas! Since this day the problem started with a little bit of trouble on the ride, I’s bug, I had to look at the length of clock.

STVO: S-Class has to go right in construction sites!
Hi, one learns about it. I saw today a post in the ZDF turntable. It was about construction sites, where the left track is marked with a >2 meter < sign. There a driver of a VW-Bulli (T5) got a warning of 20 €, because he had used the left track, because the actual width is decisive. Width according to papers 1.84 m. But the mirrors must be included. Total width then 2.20 m The W220 is according to data sheet 1.855 m, with mirrors 2.092 m wide, therefore also has to be on the right track. However, there is a tolerance of 9 cm, which are exceeded with W220 only by 2 mm. The W221 is with mirrors 2.12 m wide, the W140 without mirror 1.886 m (with I did not find, but should also be over 2.09 m). Just to the info... lg Rüdiger:-)

How satisfied are you?
Hello dear forum, for a few weeks now I have been thinking about becoming more Scandinavian in terms of vehicle technology. I am very satisfied with my golf, but the lease agreement expires in a few months. Since I don’t want to pay any more installments in the future, the purchase has to become a little cheaper. Similar to Volvo, I like Saab very well, more precisely the 9-3. If you browse through the relevant sales pages, I am surprised that you get the 9-3 under 100000km still quite cheap (under 700€). When using the SuFu you get of course much about defects etc. But it is clear that you write about defects more than about good experiences. I would like to know from “experienced” 9-3 driving, whether they would objectively recommend this vehicle. On the motor side I am still not fixed. My driving performance in some months is over 2000 km, annually about 25000km, to 80% highway. If you have full seat usage we are on board for two plus a lap dog. I need a robust and reliable vehicle, that will not accompany me faithfully with all the next years!

Cylinder head gasket / timeline
Hello! A question to the people who have the smart WIS program. If I want to change the cylinder head gasket, I have to reckon with which hourly approach in the workshop? My estimate is from 4 hours but I can also deceive myself. The change itself belongs only to the seal (without sealing mass or with sealing mass?) and 10 stretching screws! That’s right, right? The parts themselves amount to 77,80€, but now is the question of working hours. Must or should you let other parts change immediately? Ask only because often the workshops want to do even more x- other things. But I think only to let the seal change if it is necessary! With friendly greeting to the Forum Fz data: Saab 93, 2,0 SE Turbo Year of manufacture: 01/ 2000 Power 151 KW (205 HP) Transmission: Automatic Addition: Complete Original, no modifications, no additions Running performance: 201000 km

Specialist advice: A spark plug oiled outside and oil trail on the engine block

Mercedes will also be green 🙂
S 400 Hybrid, S 500 Hybrid, S 300 Bluetec are on the move (some spyshots have been made on Autobild.de) Do you think you will be able to compete against the Lexus/Toyota Hybrid experience – on the international market? In Germany they will naturally hit like a bomb, because they are German vehicles Here you can imagine it so bad to drive a car from a Japanese (“Show me your garage and I tell you who you are”)

Order Prius Sol Travel – watch out…
… whether he really has the right interior equipment. I ordered a Sol-Travel with a beige interior equipment. Unfortunately, one was delivered with the mouse grey. That might be a shock! I don’t want to long lament the employee for whom this Sol was intended, accepted the mouse grey interior equipment with teeth crunches, because in a rejection the consequences were unpredictable. What to pay attention to. In the purchase contract was written very small and very unobtrusively positioned (especially not under the list of the usual parameters)- Interior: “standard” PRESENT! Don’t make the mistake like me to overlook this hidden designation when subscribing to faxed documents. When the signature is on it, nothing helps anymore. I’m still pissed off. There is sufficient correspondence that this car should be delivered in beige equipment, but unfortunately all the contract was wrongly filled by the car house. Since I bought our first Prius there, I am now at the third customer consultant. The two others have left the car house. One can assume that the wrong order is impossible, and that the car dealer could not pay for it.

The hard life of an Omega B
The hard life of an Omega B Hello, I want to tell you something about the suffering story of my beloved Omegas. I think that hardly any Omega has so much life :-)… everything started 99, so my father bought it and pressed it half a year later at a highway exit! Front and back pushed together. Economic total damage 17000DM estimate! He was fortunately not to blame and the insurance paid. I thought, is a pity about the Omega and equipped it for 2000DM with the most necessary new parts. with some welding spat and paint he looked again like new 🙂 Have still had an axle measurement made to go on the safe way, all i.o.! Luckily he had a hanger clutch that took a lot away from the impact… One misfortune rarely comes alone and so I only helped the good 2002 to make a new total damage again! about 4500euro see picture accident.jpg Now the crafting started from the front only this time no money from the insurance. I didn’t want to spend on it all.

Water loss Omega A 2,0
Hello! I need advice from a few experts… I have a terrifying water loss with my omi. First I noticed when I was standing in front of a traffic light and the temp. shot up. At home then guck, and see… no more water in it. I unfortunately did not have a compensation tank. I filled up about 2.5l water (with frost protection). What repeated after about 500km. What should I do now? I can’t find a place where the water remains. So I go out of it that it burns, which then deuted to ZKD. *heul* He has only 124tsd down, was always driven with Mobil 1 0W40 with regular inspections. And I never kicked him in the cold condition. My FOH said I should expect about 600€ at ZKD. What can I do now to check myself to be sure that I don’t spend a lot of money for free? MfG Daniel
